The first part of the thesis deals with the theoretical foundations of economic performance of the company, including the definition of efficiency and its types, challenges in evaluation, and modern approaches to evaluation of efficiency. The second part focuses on the analysis of the financial situation of the company and identification of key issues. In the third part, measures to improve the financial situation of the company are proposed and the results of these measures are calculated. The results of the thesis provide a comprehensive view of the current situation of the company and offer practical recommendations for its future development.

The second part focuses on the application of the described methods, during which key trends and shortcomings are identified. The bachelor‘s thesis is focused on the proposal of a concrete model for improving the financial status of the company using mathematical methods. The proposal is based on the practical application by selected mathematical methods. The thesis is divided into three parts: theoretical, analytical and porposal. The theoretical part is devoted to a general and non-standard approach to the use of mathematics in economics. Analytical gives an analysis of the current situation in firm and applies the selected theory in the selected business entity. The porposal part contains a proposal for an optimization model of inventory consumption and, as a result, the possibility of saving and increasing the company's solvency and recommendations for equipment renewal.
Utilization of Financial Analysis as a Tool for Investment Decisions

The bachelor's thesis deals with the evaluation of the six largest companies in the automotive industry, in the period 2018-2023. This work is divided into three parts. In the first part, the key financial analysis tools for comparing companies are found. In the practical part, these tools are part of selected companies and comparisons between companies. In the design part, companies in the best financial situation are selected, from which a fictitious portfolio is subsequently compiled.
Approaches to the evaluation of business innovation

The thesis focuses on innovation and its evaluation. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the economic impact of a specific innovation introduced in a selected company. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the evaluation of the innovation as such and a brief overview of several recent innovations introduced in the company. These data are complemented by the characteristics of the enterprise, both general and economic. The evaluation of the innovation and its impact on the enterprise is supported by the theoretical knowledge summarised in the first part of the thesis. The necessary data for the evaluation of the innovation were drawn from the internal sources of the enterprise and from public accounting documents.
Comparison of profitability in companies of domestic and foreign owners

This study focuses on a comparison of the profitability of companies with domestic and foreign owners operating in the Czech Republic. The aim of the output of the study is to evaluate the performance of enterprises depending on the group of owners and to identify the factors influencing their profitability. The first part of the thesis deals with a literature search on profitability, profit, profitability ratios and return on equity (ROE) decomposition. In the practical part, individual enterprises within the manufacturing industry are analysed and classified according to the type of owner and industry. Subsequently, the sectors are compared between the owner groups and insights on the effectiveness of profitability ratios are obtained.
