Footbridge across the Labe
Krč, Rostislav ; Romportl, Tomáš (referee) ; Stráský, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis focuses on design of prestressed concrete footbridge which passes pedestrian and bicycle path over the Elbe river near city of Celakovice in the Czech Republic. Three different bridge options were analyzed and for further development a cable-stayed footbridge was chosen. Its bridge deck is formed of a box girder supported by cables in its vertical axis and all cable stays are anchored into two concrete A-shaped pylons. This structure was analyzed in SCIA Engineer and assessment of serviceability limit states and ultimate limit states according to recent European standards (Eurocodes) was made. Both the global structural behavior and the local structural integrity of box cross-section were assessed as well as construction stages and cross-sections of pylons and cable stays. Assessments were performed in IDEA StatiCa combined with hand calculations. Eventually a dynamic response of structure was analyzed. Natural modes and frequencies were found and forced oscillation response was evaluated. The thesis includes technical drawings, construction process and visualization.
Prestressed road bridge in Staré Město
Krč, Rostislav ; Trenz, Jan (referee) ; Koláček, Jan (advisor)
The thesis focuses on design of superstructure of concrete bridge, which passes a roadway across the river Krupa in the town of Stare Mesto. It is a simple span structure with length of 19 meters. For further elaboration, post-tensioned concrete slab with trapezoidal-shaped cross section was chosen. Assessment of serviceability limit states and ultimate limit states according to recent European standards (Eurocodes) was made. Furthermore, a design of post-tension according to former Czech technical standards (CSN) was studied. The thesis includes technical drawings and visualization.
Cable-stayed pedestrian bridge
Podškubka, Patrik ; Kulhavý,, Tomáš (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
The aim of this master’s thesis is a design of the footbridge that transfers separately pedestrian and bicycle traffic over the expressway and the local creek. Chosen footbridge, which were one of two possible designs, consists of a monolithic bridge deck suspended on the V-shaped pylon. Thesis contains a static calculation of the structure modeled in ANSYS software. Design and assessment are according to the current European standards
Static analysis of the cross-section of the lock chamber
Skalník, Stanislav ; Koláček, Jan (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
The bachelor‘s thesis deals with static solutions of the lock chamber. Background for this work were static calculations according to safety levels and drawing documentation of the actual structure. Goal is to evaluate the existing solution of the walls and the bottom of the chamber in selected sections based on the internal forces of the wall model created in the SCIA Engineer. Following with global analysis of a nonlinear model reinforced with the main load-bearing reinforcement according to the original design created in the Idea StatiCa Detail. The second part of this work was the design of an alternative solution of the chamber with a type of rib walls with dimensionability verification. Suggestion of the main wall reinforcement and reinforcement of the most stressed rib. Furthermore a comparison with the original solution from the point of view of deformation, material savings and subsequent assessment of the chamber leaching. Static calculations of both variants, drawings of the used reinforcement for the nonlinear model and drawings of an alternative solution containing the shape and schemes of the wall and rib reinforcement are included.
Static Analysis of Structural Elements of Glass
Hořký, Radek ; Gratza, Roman (referee) ; Kytýr, Jiří (advisor)
They analyzed the various factors affecting the design or evaluation of structural glass. Within evaluation of structural glass element is checked selected concepts of linear elastic fracture mechanics. For modeling is used programme system ANSYS based finite element method. The results are compared with the analytical solution.
Design and construction of the task to the subject PPI
Král, Jiří ; Krejčí, Petr (referee) ; Návrat, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with creating of computational model for definition of tensity and deformations of bars system. Then the physical model is made according to the theoretical model. This physical model is used for educational purposes. Next step is measurement of stress and deformation of bars. The final part is focused on eventual variations between theoretical and real model.
Single span slab bridge
Roučka, Adam ; Koláček, Jan (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor thesis is the design of a single span post-tensioned slab bridge. From three variants, a variant of the slab bridge structure with lateral ramps was selected. The aim of the thesis is the design and assessment of the superstructure according to the limit states.
Design of concrete bridge on highway D35- Křelov - Slavonín
Gago, Samuel ; Koláček, Jan (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor´s thesis is a design and evaluation of an one-span prestressed concrete highway bridge. Out of two options of concrete slab cross-section, the trapezoidal-shaped one was chosen. The concrete slab was designed and evaluated on the basis of SLS and ULS criteria.
Static solution of a typical underground floor of a tall building in Prague
Maršálek, Filip ; Šimůnek, Petr (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the static design of the ceiling structure of a high-rise building. The basis for the bachelor was drawing documentation with basic plan dimensions and heights. The aim of the work is to design a locally and point-supported ceiling slab in the form of a section of one floor, specifically the ceiling above the second underground floor. According to the assigned study, a board model was created in the SCIA Engineer program for the analysis of internal forces, on the basis of which the design of the bending reinforcement of the board was carried out for the limit state of bearing capacity. The design of the shear reinforcement is based on the internal forces from the 2D model and was carried out using the Schöck Bole program with manual verification of selected parts. Furthermore, crack widths were manually calculated and verified via SCIA Engineer. The last calculation was a non-linear deflection calculation in SCIA Engineer. The conclusion of the work was the design of a variant with headers and a comparison of both types of boards. The work includes static calculation and drawing documentation.
Roof Structure of Collection Yard
Sýkora, Jiří ; Štrba, Michal (referee) ; Pilgr, Milan (advisor)
The roof structure has plan dimensions of 9.15 m in width and 38.4 m in length, the height of the structure is approximately 5.9 m. The planar load-carrying system in the transverse direction consists of a fixed column and a beam with a slope of 8°, which is supported by the column both directly in the middle of the length and by means of hinges in quarters of the length. These transverse support systems are spaced at 6 m intervals. The roof cladding made of profiled steel sheeting metal is supported on plain purlins placed perpendicularly on the load-carrying system. The spatial rigidity of the structure is ensured in the transverse direction by the fixed of the columns and in the longitudinal direction by the truss bracing. The supporting structure consists of hot rolled steel profiles.
