Analysis of primary school pupils' concepts of a chosen topic through an artistic expression

This thesis verifies knowledge of primary school pupils' regarding chosen topic from natural science - plan morphology. Level of knowledge was determined using ditactic test and pupils' drawing and description. The thesis further analyses quality of textbooks, including image materials, used in school extra curriculum activities. The results of this work is used to determine whether pupils' drawings can be used for testing, how can pupils express themselves using drawing and what level of knowledge do they possess in plant morphology.
Analysis of pupils' knowledge through the creative expression of pupils at first-stage elementary school

This diploma thesis analyses pupils' knowledge of invertebrate animals. Knowledge was tested through pupils' drawings and an educational test. An analysis was also made on the textbooks the students were taught from. The research took place on a total of 186 pupils in first-stage elementary education at two elementary schools. The research results show what knowledge the pupils have of invertebrate animals.
Art expression as a means of determining the knowledge of selected subject in pupils of primary school

This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of knowledge and ideas of pupils how they understand human organ systems. Knowledge is verified based on spontaneous production of children's drawings using a thematic didactic test. The thesis uses cross-sectional research involving a total of 118 pupils from the first to the fifth class of the primary school. For the research project, pupils were given a blank piece A4 sized paper and were asked to draw the organ systems in their body. Research tables have been created from a set of drawings and common characters. The results of the research show level of understanding of human organ systems in individual classes.
The Influence of Art Education in Free Time on the Personality of Preschool Child

My thesis deals with influence of art education in free time on the personality of preschool child. The thesis is divided into two parts: the theoretical and the practical. This work focuses on pre-school age children, their physical and mental development, development of basic abilities and skills, socialization and game. The theoretical part describes terms like free time and art education. It characterizes children's drawing, its developmental stages and particularities. The conclusion of the theoretical part is devoted to the influence of art education on personality of preschool child. Results of this work show that art education has a positive influence on personality of preschool child. In the practical part of my batchelor thesis I describe individual activities that I made with children during my practice. For each activity is marked task, motivation, artistically technical information, material, educational goal and final evaluation.
Portfolio - a Tool of Assessment in Special Art Education

This thesis deals with the collection, sorting and by reflecting artistic expressions of a particular child during the school year. The theoretical part contains information obtained from the study of literature concerning the concepts of art education, perception, sensitivity, imagination, creation, communication, portfolio assessment, children's drawing, ontogeny, psychiatric diagnosis, developmental disorders. The empirical part focused on the development of intellectual and social abilities in connection with the development of drawings, a boy with psychiatric diagnosis. The work is processed by the methods of qualitative research. It is a case study with subsequent analysis results of operations,ie his artistic expressions.
Development of child communication skills with developmental dysphasia, utilization of alternative and augmentative communication

This thesis examines the development of communication skills of children with developmental dysphasia, with the use of augmentative and alternative communication. The work is made up of theoretical and practical part. The research focuses on the influence of elements augmentative communication intervention in children with developmental dysphasia in preschool facilities. The research part is formed by empirical research based on a case study of a boy with developmental dysphasia, case reports describing the progress of special education intervention in preschool institutions, research part is completed by the conclusions of the investigation and recommendations for practice. The aim is to show the positive influence the course of education of children with developmental dysphasia support structured learning and noticeable advances in communication development of children with the support of the graphic expression.
Primal sources of inspiration in czech art 1980-2015

Main focus of this work is to compare and map the evolution of primal sources of inspiration in Czech art in the years 1980-2015. It brings the overview of the authors, who adopted the elements of visual reality, and describes the ways how they used it in their works. Highlighted are the authors whose works are influenced by some of the following topics: commerce and kitch, pornography, comic books, graffiti and street art, folklore, culture of natural nation and childs drawings. Reasons and motivation of the authors for using these extraordinary ways of expression are also clarified. The main part of the work is completed by a context of the exhibitions which took place in the defined time period and follow the topic. It is possible to imagine the evolution and the meaning of primal sources of inspiration in the context of post modern art, according to the basis of the discovered findings.
Various psychological aspects of children's drawings

This diploma thesis focuses on the psychological aspects of drawings of preschool children from complete and incomplete families. In the theoretical part the child's drawing is described as one of the basic manifestations of the semiotic function and it emphasized its importance in the process of cognitive maturation. Drawing is also taken into consideration as a projective diagnostic method. In the research part we interpret drawings by children of different ages in the preschool period with an emphasis on cognitive maturity of the individual and family relations with consideration to the projective function of drawings. The results may lead to a better understanding of children's perception thanks to the interpretation of various drawings.
