NMPC Application for PMSM Drive Control
Kozubík, Michal ; Blaha, Petr (referee) ; Václavek, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the possibilities of application of nonlinear model predictive control for electric drives. Specifically, for drives with a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The thesis briefly describes the properties of this type of drive and presents its mathematical model. After that, a nonlinear model of predictive control and methods of nonlinear optimization, which form the basis for the controller output calculation, are described. As it is used in the proposed algorithm, the Active set method is described in more detail. The thesis also includes simulation experiments focusing on the choice of the objective function on the ability to control the drive. The same effect is examined for the different choices of the length of the prediction horizon. The end of the thesis is dedicated to the comparison between the proposed algorithm and commonly used field oriented control. The computational demands of the proposed algorithm are also measured and compared to the used sampling time.
Design of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor
Žák, Ondřej ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
The thesis describes problematics of synchronous motor with permanent magnets. The design is provided by analytic and empiric procedures. The great accent is placed on the description of the magnetic circuit of the motor. The finite element method analysis of designed motor is performed subsequently. The main target of this thesis is to find the way, how the ferrite permanent magnet should be used in synchronous motor.
Design of synchronous spoke motor
Kopecký, Jan ; Bulín, Tomáš (referee) ; Knebl, Ladislav (advisor)
This thesis is focused mainly on the theoretical research of permanent magnet synchronous motors. In addition, various methods of designing the motor‘s magnetic circuit are discussed and their advantages and disadvantages are compared. The reluctance network method is analyzed more thorough, because this method is used for motor designing process. In the last part the results obtained by reluctance network are compared with the results evaluated by finite element method.
Design and simulation of interior permanent magnet synchronous machine
Veselý, Petr ; Vlach, Radek (referee) ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with the design of a synchronous motor with embedded magnets. First of all, the general theory of synchronous motor, which is focused on field-weakening drive, is described. Then a 6-pole and a 8-pole version of the motor with embded magnet, which has 65 kW and 3000 rpm is complexly designed. Motors are compared with each other and with a motor with surface magnets, that was also designed in this work. Finally, all motors are compared with a mafufactured and measured motor.
Experimental measuring of Siemens mechatronic device.
Koláček, Martin ; Houfek, Lubomír (referee) ; Koláčný, Josef (advisor)
The aim of this work is experimental measurement followed by acquisition and reconstruction of data from the image format. Experimental work is focused on verifying properties of a real electric drive with synchronous motor and frequency converter. Special attention is paid to the influence of system parameters on the time flow of monitored values. There is also solved backward reconstruction of the data during exporting of outputs from the measured system.
Control of the laboratory model of synchronous drives
Koubík, Martin ; Bílek, Michal (referee) ; Zezulka, František (advisor)
The aim of this theses describes the design of the control program for the synchronous axes model and reconstruction of this model. The first main part is description of synchronous axes model, description of engines and other components of model. Then model modifications are described. Another part is discussing the TwinCAT programming environment and describe all important elements that must be performed for proper functionality of the model. There is also a description of function blocks that are used to program motion sequences. The last part is described of demonstration program and program which would be used for teaching.
PMSM models for educational purposes
Lidmila, Petr ; Cipín, Radoslav (referee) ; Pazdera, Ivo (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with synchronous motor model creation in MATLAB – Simulink program, with purpose of usage in AC Drives class. Models are created for motor with permanent magnets and for motor with wound rotor. The models are designed to enable simulation with both different longitudinal and transverse inductance, thus with salient rotor and non-salient rotor. The models can also be powered directly from three-phase sinusoidal source or a simple vector control can be used for their acceleration. All models are aligned so that their parameters can be set in only one m-file. Furthermore, automatic generation of phasor diagrams for steady-state motor, which serves as an interactive tool in class, is also created.
High frequency signal injection method for PMSM position estimation
Moravec, Vojtěch ; Veselý, Libor (referee) ; Pohl, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the design of vector control of interior permanent magnet synchronous motors. The first part of this work deals with vector control transformations and mathematical modelling of synchronous motors. Furthermore, algorithms of sensorless control are discussed, especially HF injection sensorless methods. One of these methods was used for torque and speed control. Problem of phase delay caused by filters and it’s compensation is also discused. One of the HF injection sensorless method was implemented on both motors. The results of simulations in MATLAB/Simulink and tests of real motors on dSpace are included.
