Housing situation of young families with children in Prague from the perspective of the welfare state theory and the life-cycle perspective
Plavecká, Tereza ; Hejzlarová, Eva (advisor) ; Vejchodská, Eliška (referee)
The diploma thesis focuses on the housing situation of young families with children in the context of the housing crisis in Prague. The main aim of the thesis is to describe and understand the housing situation of young families in detail and at the same time to explain the situation and their behaviour from the perspective of the welfare state theory and from a life-cycle perspective. The thesis is interested in the history of the housing situation of families and the broader context of the problem - family and housing policy and the transformation of the family at the beginning of the 21st century, the threats to families and the new social risks. Based on a structured analysis of individual interviews with nine young parents, it seeks answers to the questions of whether families are finding affordable housing, what problems they face, and how social policy is responding to their situation. It presents options for measures to improve the housing situation of families, using examples from abroad and the Czech Republic. It gives voice to young families with children who are under- represented in today's debate on unaffordable housing in an urbanised world.

The diploma thesis is focused on the proposal of the stabilization strategy of a small enterprise engaged in the production and assembly of window openings on the Czech market. The theoretical part includes a literature search in the field of strategic management with regard to small enterprises, life cycle, competitiveness and then selected analytical and research methods, which are used in the next part of the thesis. The analytical part focuses on the practical application of the selected analytical-research methods in the context of the company's environment in order to reveal the key factors influencing the current situation and its evaluation. The design part is based on the evaluation of the current situation, on the basis of which a suitable variant of strategy and changes is chosen, leading to the stabilization of the enterprise and strengthening of competitiveness.

Study of the ecological impact of production, operation and disposal of various types of cars
Los, M. ; Jaššo, K.
The life cycle of a car includes three basic phases: production, operation and end-of-life. All these phases can potentially produce emissions that have a direct impact on the environment. However, different types of cars may produce different amounts of emissions during the life cycle phases, depending not only on the type of propulsion but also on local factors such as the emission factor of the energy mix. The results of the research showed that the potential environmental benefit of lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of battery electric vehicles depends primarily on the emission factor of the energy mix. In countries such as Poland, where the majority of electricity produced is generated by burning coal and lignite, the life cycle environmental performance of battery cars will be higher than that of combustion cars. Conversely, in countries with a favorable energy mix, such as Sweden, the potential to reduce transport emissions by replacing the existing car fleet with electric cars is significant. Practical part of this papers aims to compare the environmental impact from the view of greenhouse gas emissions throughout the life cycle of conventional petrol, diesel, natural gas and electric cars in local conditions.
Planning of the construction contract of the office building by the contractor
Tejgi, Michal ; Oravkin, Rudolf (referee) ; Nový, Martin (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the description of the preparation and management of the construction contract from the perspective of the contractor. The theoretical part explains the planning of the construction project and interprets the basic concepts related to project management as well as the preparation and implementation of the construction project. Within the practical part, a specific construction contract is presented, which is analyzed in the work in terms of cost allocation and the implementation of the contract. The aim of the work is to compare the compiled alternative plans based on theoretical knowledge and experience with the actual course of implementation and to evaluate the differences of the solved construction contract.
Životní cyklus motolice \kur{Anomalotrema koiae} Gibson & Bray, 1984 (Digenea: Opecoelidae) na souostroví Svalbard
NOVOTNÝ, David
The aim of the study is to describe the life cycle of a trematode species Anomalotrema koiae Gibson & Bray, 1984 (Digenea: Opecoelidae) which occures in three species of whelks (Buccinum undatum, B. glaciale and Plicifusus kroyeri) and Arctic staghorn sculpin (Gymnocanthus tricuspis) in littoral waters, mainly fjords, of the Svalbard archipelago to better understand the ecology of arctic marine habitats. In the study there is the first morphological description of larval stages of A. koiae, mainly the sporocysts and cercariae. For the purpose of the study, there were used both the molecular and morphological methods to analyse the data from the samples which were collected on Svalbard.
Start-up Marketing Mix in Relation to Life-Cycle Stage

Assessing the effect of the structural design on the value of the structure within its life cycle
Hrdlička, Tomáš ; Korytárová, Jana (referee) ; Schneiderová Heralová, Renáta (referee) ; Cupal, Martin (advisor)
The dissertation focuses on a much-discussed topic in the field of construction of houses and the choice of material base of houses. The research is motivated by the fundamental question of whether wood-based houses (wooden buildings) are cheaper or more expensive than brick-based houses. The two most frequently used material bases are therefore subjected to a series of analyzes, both in terms of acquisition and investment costs, respectively, and in terms of life cycle costs focused to structures. At the same time, attention is paid to other pricesetting factors that significantly affect the investment costs of houses. Based on the analysis of a database containing 1.520 houses, the material base appears to be a variable that has a very small effect on the costs, and this difference can often be overshadowed by other variables such as the size of the family house, the amount of floors, heating, etc. At the same time, the work verifies the relevance of commonly used methods of cost valuation of houses (price indicators, cost method according to the price regulation 441/2013 Coll., as amended) in comparison with investment costs determined on the basis of market data. There was found high deviation. The analysis of selected phases of the life cycle of family houses points to higher costs associated with structures during the entire life cycle of wooden buildings. Specifically, the difference is on average 6.1 %.
