Visualisation of phenomena related to linear programming
Gregor, Jan ; Hladík, Milan (referee) ; Pergel, Martin (advisor)
This thesis introduces design and implementation of scripting language especially focused on visualization of phenomena related to linear programming. We describe a construction of an interpreter and a theory around it. Further we specify what the linear programming is and we show the simplex method. Regarding requierements of manipulation and visualization in vector space of dimension greater than three, there could not be used standard methods, e.g., from computer graphic. That is why there is also a description of modified algorithms used in this cases. Namely projection, transformation and drawing of n-dimensional polyhedron. This thesis also contains examples of scripts showing possibilities of the language and its interpreter.

Use of liquid in a sheet metal forming
Rejnuš, Vojtěch ; Řiháček, Jan (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The liquid is used as the main or supporting forming medium. It is also used in series production of komplex and precision parts. It ranks among the more progressive methods and can be used among other aplications used for hydromechanical drawing, Pillow forming, Hydroform, Wheelon, ASEA, Flexform, new method Triform, explosion and electrohydraulic forming. Principles are presented for selected methods, as well as advantages, disadvantages and examples of practical applications.

Dynamic analysis of portfolio by means of Kalman filter
Králová, Dana ; Hanzák, Tomáš (referee) ; Cipra, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the presented work is to introduce the new method of dynamic analysis of portfolio which estimates the composition of portfolio on the base of its returns. In the work, we describe the theory of Kalman filter and state space models. We mention examples of application of Kalman filter and demonstrate the work with econometric software EViews in the field of state space models on this examples. We deal with selected aspects from the portfolio theory. We present the older method of analysis of portfolio which uses the regression model and we draw attention to its essential lack. We deal, in more details, with the method of dynamic analysis of portfolio which is based on the state space models and which removes the lack of the older method. We also study the modification of this method for hedge funds. In the end, we apply the method of dynamic analysis of portfolio on the real data of two Czech investment funds and so we verify the quality of the model.

Manufacturing of motor lid using rubber
Brožek, Michal ; Šlais, Miroslav (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The work, developed in an undergraduate study, proposes technology of the motor lid. The case shall be produced in a series of 300 pieces per year of 1mm sheet steel 17 240. After an evaluation of possible modes of production, the technology of fragile drawing tool, polytan, was chosen. Literary study is focused on the analysis of this technology. The circular shaped semi-product about the diameter of 222.3 mm, will be produced by a water jet cutting of thin plates with dimensions 1x1250x2500 mm. The capacity utilization of the panel is 68,3 %. For the forming component part is a hydraulic press Cth 250 at a nominal power of 2,5 MN, which is available and made by the company ŽĎAS a.s., used. On the basis of design calculations is a drawing tool for method Guerin designed. After the economic evaluation, the product price was set at 115 CZK.

Framing of media content
Šulcová, Ladislava ; Němcová Tejkalová, Alice (referee) ; Nečas, Vlastimil (advisor)
Diploma thesis "Framing of media news" deals with the process of meaning construction of news messages. In the first chapter framing is described as multi-dimensional concept with inconsistent paradigma. Here is the effort to define this concept clearly. It is defined as process of meaning construction on the basis of "salience" and "selection". In the further chapter framing is distinguished from ideological bias and identified as "unintentional and non-ideological proces". The framing and agenda-setting relation is reassessed, it is argued that both concepts are based on different theoretical premises and for Media studies the both are more useful as two separate concepts. The next charter deals with the history of concept. Here is also emphasized the necessity to understand framing as integrated communication process not only as a media-effect method. The following chapter presents three paradigmatic outlooks, called cognitive, constructionist, and critical, framing is also presented in context of social constraction of reality. A typology of generic and issue-specific frames is proposed. The practical research draws on the theoretical knowledge and investigates presence of generic frames, episodic or thematic, in the evening news Události of Czech Television and Televizní noviny of Nova television.

Albín Bráf and his relation to social policy
Bartolomová, Lucie ; Bažantová, Ilona (advisor) ; Doležalová, Antonie (referee)
The diploma work deals with the view of Prof. Dr. Albín Bráf on social politics. Albín Bráf, who wrote many works that treat social politics, was a distinguished Czech economist and politician living on the break of the 19th and 20th century. The aim of the work is to find out what were Bráf's theoretical opinions about social politics and whether he asserted any governmental intervention in this area. The work is divided into two chapters. The first one contains the biography of Bráf. The second chapter describes his view of social politics and is further subdivided into particular sections that deal with issues that Bráf was concerned with (e. g. the insurance of workers, the legislation for the protection of workers, the problematics of wages and alms). This work draws from the Bráf's works concerned with social politics chiefly and uses the method of analysis of original sources and the comparation of Bráf's view with actual Czech conception and understanding of social politics .

Body - walking - lanscape: Prehistorical agricultural cultures in the flatlands of Czechia
Pauknerová, Karolína ; Matoušek, Václav (advisor) ; Gojda, Martin (referee) ; Pleinerová, Ivana (referee)
Landscape is not only a material world out there since it also represents a particular way of seeing and understanding the world around. I draw on the idea that by researching landscapes of long gone people we can get closer to their (life)world. In behind of the whole research project lies the idea that the way people dwell in the world resonates with how they understand it. Within the research I employ the methodology of the phenomenology of landscape. Phenomenological research of landscapes inhabited by people in prehistoric ages is concerned with gathering and analysing sensual data such as view from the locality in question, colours, smells, texture, etc. at the place. Human body and the most common bodily activity - walking - is used as a research tool. I explore settlement strategies of four prehistoric cultures - Linear Pottery, Stroked Pottery, Funnel Beakers, and Aunjetitz cultures - within three flatlands in Bohemia (Kladno plateau, the area southwards from the city of Pilsen and the region south and south-westwards form the town of Kolín). At Kolín region and Kladno plateau I compare settlement distribution of two cultures: the Aunjetitz and Stroked pottery cultures at Kolín and Funnel Beakers and Aunjetitz cultures at Kladno. At Pilsen region I concentrated solely on Linear Pottery culture. The...

Constitutional Analysis of the Lisbon Treaty
Zelenka, Jaroslav ; Hudík, Marek (advisor) ; Skopeček, Jan (referee)
This work applies the constitutional analysis method on the evaluation of the EU constitutional setting's change after the possible approval of the Lisbon Treaty. We will focus on the part of the Treaty that has an impact on the character of the legislation connected with commodity taxation. Specifically, we will analyze the change of the voting rules of the Council and the change of the constitutional cognizance of the Council. After we draw the parallel between the Council and the revenue-maximizing Leviathan, we will be able to advocate for the conclusion of our analysis which is that the base and rates of the commodity taxation will change to the disadvantage of the taxpayer after the approval of the Treaty.
