Intergenerational Learning in Education of Preschool Children

The thesis is focused on the intergenerational learning in families of preschool children. The first, theoretical part, discusses the ongoing intergenerational learning in families and possibilities of intergenerational programs outside the family. The second, practical part, examines whether and how progress the intergenerational learning in families with preschool children and deals with the parentʼs attitudes toward intergenerational program in kindergarten. Research is carried out via survey in families of children, structured interviews with parents and observation and interviews with children in kindergarten. One part of the thesis is to create the design and implementation of a project focused on intergenerational learning in cooperation of kindergarten and senior citizen home and subsequent reflection process, which arises during intergenerational activities between children and seniors from non-family environment.
A change of children's attitude towards school preparation from teacher's point of view from primary schools

This bachelor thesis "Change of children school preparation from the view of elementary school teachers" is dealing with the developement of child in preschool age from the view of developmental psychology. There are definitions of basic concepts associated with the school preparation and possibilities in further development in children´s weaknesses. Qualitative research investigation by method of half structured and narrative conversation is implemented in practical part of this thesis. Teachers view of changes of school preparation over the last twenty years was studied this way. Elementary school teachers have at least twenty years of practical experience are research group.
Cost comparisons of differentiated meals approaches in selected regional kindergarten

The Bachelor Thesis focuses on application of two approaches in the cooking of the same model menu using differing raw material and foods in the selected kindergarten. This Project Cooking is performed by the Kindergarten Val in its school canteen. The aim of the Thesis is to identify the differences in costs of the two approaches to cooking and catering, define the financial differences and perform a survey among parents to discover if they are interested in either catering type even if the price increases. The Method of the Thesis consists of production of two menus including the same items in accordance with meals recommended by Consumer Basket (menu regulation for kindergarten and school kitchens and canteens). Then the cooking costs are calculated for either menu and the analyses also include evaluation of the survey made among parents who show their will to pay higher price for fresh local foods.
Mass media and the development of pre-reading of preschool children

This thesis maps mass media, especially television broadcasting and electronic devices with connection to the Internet, in the lives of pre-school children, and investigates the relationship between mass media and development of initial reading skills. The theoretical part analyses existing literature relevant to pre-school child development elementary reading and mass media, while the empirical research makes an independent investigation into this phenomenon in society using questionnaires for pre-school children's parents, structured interviews with selected children, and structured interviews with open-ended questions with selected pre-school teachers. The aim of this work is to determine today's pre-school children's interests in books compared with television and electronic devices with connection to the Internet, to look at how parents strengthen their children's relationships with books, and to identify methods for controlling the programmes that children watch.
The evolution of phonological and morphological abilities of a preschool child

This bachelor thesis focuses on phonological and morphological abilities of pre-school children that affect their reading literacy development. The main objective of this thesis is to outline the possibilities of development of these abilities in the Montessori kindergarten environment. The thesis is divided into two parts - a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with basic principles of the Montessori pedagogy. Furthermore, it focuses on the language acquisition process and the language speech level. At the end of the theoretical part, tools for common Montessori education focused on basic language knowledge acquisition in the junior pre-school age are mentioned. The practical part consists of determination of research questions related to the topic and a qualitative investigation of pre-school children. The initial state of phonological and morphological abilities was found out by standardized tests in this investigation. On the basis of the detected results, children are motivated to activities and work with tools which should support the development of their weakened areas. The particular research methods are described in the methodical part. Activities for weakened sectors including the evaluation precede the comparison of entry and control test results. Research questions are answered and summary is carried out in the conclusion.
Suggestions for an Introduction Songs in the Kindergarten

My bachelor thesis is dedicated to rehearsal of songs in kindergarten. The thesis is divided into two parts - a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part describes the role of singing in human life. This part is focused on musical skills and more specifically on singing activities which are suitable for kids in kindergartens. Finally, it includes a list of music publications which can be used for preschool children. The practical part presents the results of observation while rehearsing songs. I focused on the effectiveness of the chosen type of learning, on children´s interest and their reactions on a particular learning method. All of these methods have been described in details and the children´s reactions have also been noted down. In the annexes you can find music scores of ten songs which I tried to teach in kindergarten.
Phonological and morphological skills of preschool children

This bachelor's thesis is focusing on the development of preschool children, primarily on their phonological and morphological abilities. The main objective of this thesis is to examine further risks of reading abilities,indicating possibilities of reducing all these risks by the methodical work with children of preschool age. In the theoretical definition the physical, psychological and social development of children is defined, as well as their maturity and readiness for school in regards to speech as well as their phonological and morphological abilities. The practical part is focused on quantitative research of preschool children, with a focus specifically on the observation of variables, mostly in phonological and morphological abilities, techniques, practices. Based on obtained results are recommended exercises for the development of these abilities.
Ceramic Mug intended for Children of Preschool age

My bachelor work called "A ceramic cup for pre-school aged children" is consisted of two parts theoretical and practical. The theoretical part looks into design function especially its hygienic role. All demands for design are limited by the target group's age. Since my work focuses on children there are very specific types of cups which meet the requirements of the concrete age group and also shows mugs' shape safety. The practical part of my work deals with psychology of colours and material which can affect user's perception of the product. A photography documentation and a final drawing are part of the work as well. The practical part also includes the final product shown within a small set. Sketches and cup's other colour options are included too.
A toy as a didactic tool for preschool children

The submitted bachelor thesis is focused on child's play and a toy. Game object is conceived as a didactic tool assisting in the development of a child during his or her preschool age. The work is divided into two parts - practical and theoretical. In the theoretical part we can find a summary of basic information on a toy for preschool age - its definition, how it evolved including the issue of these game objects for the age of three to six years. We can learn about the functions and importance of toys for pre-primary development including important aspects of personality development in the preschool period. In the second part of the thesis summarized knowledge on preschool children and children's toys is being applied. The method and implementation of the selected game object a construction set- is being described. The overall progress and implementation of three selected construction sets intended for children around four to five years. The aim of the thesis is to create construction sets that will develop children's imagination and spatial perception.

Bachelor thesis "School maturity age children in the classroom heterogeneous" focuses on the situation of children in the last school year in age heterogeneous classes. It figures out what is the possibility of the development of these children and their preparation for an entry into a primary school. The theoretical part focuses on preschool age children, including school readiness, division of children into classes in the context of the Framework curriculum for kindergarten and nursery schools abilities. There is the questionnaire survey method realized in the practical part. The group being researched is kindergarten teachers. From answers result opinions of teachers about heterogeneous class and school maturity in 5-7 years old. The work is supplemented by the games reservoir.
