The Master's Thesis "Early postoperative monitoring and nursing practice guidelines in patients after cardiac surgery" is devided into two parts. The introduction of the first theoretical part contains a definition and a brief explanation of the scope of cardiac surgery. The following text discusses the organization of postoperative care in cardiac surgery, the postoperative patient monitoring and the most common nursing practice guidelines followed in cardiosurgical intensive and resuscitation care units. The second empirical part explains the research goals, the operational hypothesis, the organization and methods of research, the characteristics of target group of respondents, the presentation of results in research of adherence to nursing practice guidelines in cardiosurgical ICU in prevention of complications, the assessment of competence of nurses, the definition of the most frequent complications of invasive entries, the assessment of the most difficult nursing practice guidelines and verification of theoretical knowledge of the nurses regarding the duration of their practice and the level of achieved education. This part concludes by the evaluation of the research goals and operational hypothesis in a discussion.

TEL/AML1, BCR/ABL and TEL/ABL Fusion genes in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia
Žaliová, Markéta ; Trka, Jan (advisor) ; Machová Poláková, Kateřina (referee) ; Pospíšilová, Dagmar (referee)
Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common malignancy in childhood. It represents a group of clinically and biologically heterogenous malignancies that can be subclasified into several subtypes according to the presence of recurrent genetic aberrations. The typical genetic aberrations in childhood ALL are chromosomal translocation, that often result in creation of fusion genes encoding either chimeric kinases or chimeric transcription factors. These recurrent genetic aberations are aquired lesions, they are supposed to be the initial hits (that may arise even prenataly) with a causal role in the process of leukemogenesis, which is, however, in the majority of them not yet fully understood. They further represent specific markes used for the detection of leukemic cells and some of them have also prognostic significance and belong among the factors used for risk group stratification in treatment protocols. Risk group stratification and subsequent risk-adapted therapy together with introduction of new therapeutic approaches (intensive chemotherapeutic regimens involving intrathecal application, hematopoetic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), supportive therapy) account for the significant improvement of the treatment outcomes of childhood ALL in the last decades. In addition to genotype, several...

Domain Specific Languages
Caithaml, Tomáš ; Surynek, Pavel (referee) ; Hric, Jan (advisor)
Domain speci c languages (DSL) are languages designed for one particular area. Their syntax and basic primitives are carefully chosen to t the class of problems they are meant to solve. Because of this specialisation, programs written using DSL are usually more concise and coherent than their counterparts written in common programming languages. There is a very e ective way to implement DSL { to de ne them inside a fulledged language. This leads to so called domain speci c embedded languages (DSEL). Purpose of this thesis is to investigate techniques used in implementation of DSEL and to analyse connection between features of host and embedded language. We focus on statically typed functional languages as host languages. We have choosen Haskell as an implementation language.

Data mining from incoming e-mail messages
Šebesta, Jan ; Žemlička, Michal (advisor) ; Hnětynka, Petr (referee)
In the present work we study possibilities of automatic sorting of incoming email communication. Our primary goal is to distinguish information about oncoming workshops and conferences, job off ers and published books. We are trying to develop tool to mine the information from data from professional mailing lists. Off ers in the mailing lists come in html, rtf or plain text format, but the information in it is written in common spoken language. We are developing the system so it will use text mining methods to extract the information and save it structured form. Than we will be able to work with it. We are examining the handling of the mails by user and apply the knowledge in the development. We solve the problems with obtaining of the messages, distinguishing language and encoding and estimating the type of message. After recognition of the bearing information we are able to mine data. In the end we save the mined information to the database, which allows us to display it in well{arranged way, sort and search according to the user needs.

Urbancová, Barbora ; Bakeš, Milan (advisor) ; Kohajda, Michael (referee) ; Dřevínek, Karel (referee)
186 13 ABSTRACT Theme of this dissertation is "Legal and economic aspects of securisiation". The main goal of the dissertation is to perform a comprehensive legal analysis of the issues relating to transactions, which can be termed securitisations, regarding also related economic aspects, while focusing especially on the analysis of special public law regulation of certain aspects related to securitisation under Czech law. The dissertation contains nine chapters. The first chapter specifies the theme of the work, its content, structure, main sources, goals and methods applied. The second chapter provides the basis for the subsequent legal analyses elaborated within the following chapters, as it deals with the general meaning and purpose of securisitation, its definition under applicable law, a standard structure of securitisation transaction and most common products of securitisation including evaluation of their character under Czech law. The essential issue rests with the interpretation of the general definition of the term securitisation in a way it is accepted in financial sector, it means as a tool of structured finance that covers all possible variations of secturisation transactions, as well as the interpretation of the definition of the term securitisation with respect to special public law...

The concept and legal consequence of the excessive use of self-defence
Černovská, Irena ; Vokoun, Rudolf (advisor) ; Herczeg, Jiří (referee)
In my final dissertation, called "The Notion and Legal Consequences of the Transgression of the Limits of Legitimate Defence and Destitution", I am dealing with the problems of legitimate defence and destitution as circumstances excluding illegality. These institutes justify behaviour, which on the one hand formally indicates a crime, but because by means of them a person averts immediate danger or an attack on the interests protected by the criminal law, it is on the other hand acknowledged as socially beneficial, thus not illegal, socially dangerous and therefore not criminal. Institutes corresponding to legitimate self-defence or destitution have been known ever since and currently one can find the confirmation of them in law orders of practically each country all over the world. Legitimate self-defence and destitution may be considered as the so-called common institutes penetrating all rules of law, besides the criminal law they are to be found in the civil law, administrative law (misdemeanours) or the constitution law. The objective of the work is to give an integrated overview of the problem, of which common public has no good knowledge, although such situation, when it is necessary and useful to defend our or somebody else's interests, may happen to anyone of us. The beginning includes a chapter...

Testing and measuring of the performance levels of a particular population returned values for each part of the analysis. Points were accumulated according to the level of performance and considering the age of each individua! applicant. Results of all the tests were statistically processed and the results were then further analyzed. Results: It was found that applicants for positions with the police ofthe Czech Republic have higher levels of physical performance in comparison to the common population, whose results were published earlier....

The Czech National Bank, its position and activities
Vrba, Tomáš ; Kotáb, Petr (advisor) ; Dřevínek, Karel (referee)
The Czech National Bank, its Role and Activities In my Diploma Theses I would like to discuss the role and position of the Czech Central Bank. My theses is formally divided into five chapters, these chapters are divided into subchapters and sections. The purpose of this structure is for the theses to be complex and easy to work with. The first chapter, called "History and Origin/Formation of The Central Banking System", surveys the history of central banking system in this area since the beginning of the 19th century till 1993, when the Act No. 6/1993 Sb. about the Czech National Bank came into force in a word of later regulations. In the second chapter I am discussing various banking systems, focusing on the basic one-stage and two-stage classification. The third and fundamental chapter is called "The Role and Activity of The Czech National Bank." It consists of four subchapters, of which the first three -"The Central Banking System in the Czech Republic according to the actual legal regulations", "Constitution" and "Act on The Czech National Bank" should clear up the legal principles, basic determination and position of the Czech National Bank. A brief section about evolution of integration of the charge of the financial market till 1989 is also included in this chapter. The fourth and last subchapter...

Alternative methods of estimating potential output and the output Gap: An application to Czech
Krasnovský, Pavol ; Brůna, Karel (advisor) ; Kuncl, Martin (referee)
The text discusses some used methods for estimating potential product and output gaps based on aggregated data for the Czech Republic. Though these methods exhibit some common features, an empirical comparison demonstrates that the various techniques differ substantially. In particular, the correlation of output gaps calculated with different methods is generally low , the methods imply different turning points. To conclude, the methods for estimating potential product a used have only limited information content for macroeconomics.

The effect of daunorubicine on expresion of adhesive molecules in rabit model of anthracycline toxicity
Nosková, Zuzana ; Nachtigal, Petr (advisor) ; Štaud, František (referee)
The aim of this thesis was to evaluate possible changes of cell adhesion molecules expression in rabbit aorta after the administration of Daunorubicin. We focused on the expression of VCAM-1 and ICAM-1. Chronic anthracycline cardiotoxicity was induced by repeated administration of daunorubicinu (3 mg/kg=50 mg/m2 i.v., 1x week) for the period of 10 weeks. We focused on the monitoring VCAM-1 and ICAM-1 expression in rabbit aorta. Ten daunorubicin groups were compared with control rabbits. The animals were killed 24 hours and/or 7 days after the administration of daunorubicin. Immunohistochemical analysis showed no expression of VCAM-1 in any control or experimental groups. On the contrary the expression of ICAM-1 was detected in control and experimental groups. There was no significant difference between experimental and control rabbits with respect to the intensity and staining patterns. In conclusion the administration of daunorubicin did not affect either VCAM-1 or ICAM-1 expression in aorta suggesting that endothelial dysfunction in aorta is not triggered by daunorubicin in vivo.
