Protection of Personal Data

This rigorous thesis deals with the protection of personal data. This is an issue relating to each of us, thereby personal data and its protection becomes very significant legal phenomenon. The thesis includes alongside the initial part, where a concept of personal data and a sense of its protection is described, also treatise on historical development of international law on protection of personal data and on constitutional ground too. The largest part is devoted to the Act on the Protection of Personal Data and its legal regulation of protection of personal data, which is also the main formal source of its legislation. It is followed by the part dedicated to the protection of personal data according to selected special laws. And the last part of the thesis is a treatise on the possibilities of judicial protection. The thesis strives for comprehensive and thoroughgoing analysis of protection of personal data in terms of generally binding legal regulations, and for the identification of weaknesses in the legislation on protection of personal data, as well as for its clear and logical submission eligible also for use of law laymen.

Protection of personal data

The primary aim of this dissertation thesis is to present a comprehensive analysis of the issue of personal data protection in the Czech Republic with regard to the regulation in the EU. The secondary goal of this work is to explore the historical genesis and material sources of the issue in question. The core information sources from which the thesis draws represent laws, judicial decisions, official documents and Czech/foreign expert literature. In order to achieve the objectives of the work, the methods that are generally applicable in the field of legal science were used. Therefore the method of description (including classification), analysis and synthesis is mostly applied. The dissertation consists of seven chapters. After a short introduction, it begins with a sociological treatise on the importance of the protection of personal data in the 21st century. Privacy is currently an important topic in the light of the rapid development of information and communication technologies which have been developing since the second half of the 20th century and burgeoned since the turn of the century. Nurses' duty of conifidentiality and the consequences of its breach

The aim of my thesis was to find out what is the legal awareness of nurses in the issue of confidentiality. Furthermore, it was examined whether nurses know what are the consequences for unauthorized access to the medical records. The theoretical part of this thesis describes the mandatory confidentiality issue and its consequences. And it defines the concepts of personal and sensitive personal data. In addition the conditions under which it is required to break confidentiality and the consequences of breach of legal obligation are mentioned. Describe the legal responsibility of nurses. In the practical part of the work I use qualitative methods of data collection, interview, for me to respond to major and minor research questions. I use interviews conducted with nurses, for doing analysis of the case and to describe the measures taken by the employer at the Municipal Hospital in Litoměřice.

In the area of personal data protection it is necessary to receive measures to prevent misuse of personal data and thereby to avoid resulting sanction. Problems of personal data protection is complicated, discussion and polemics are held even in media.

Legal protection of personal data

The thesis deals with the legal protection of personal data in general and it is divided into five chapters. The theoretical part provides the interpretation of the rules of this sector, the law for personal data protection in the Czech Republic and basic terms characteristic for this area. It explains the legal aspects of the processing of personal and sensitive data, moreover is dedicated to some of the major duties of the controller and processor and main functions, structure and activities of the Office for Personal Data Protection. The conclusion summarizes the possible reasons and consequences that occur in breach of statutory obligations in the process. The practical part then briefly sums up the possible risk when giving out personal information on the Internet and social networks and offers several options to avoid them or at least minimize them and keep your privacy safe.

IT Management in MBI Focused on Secondary Schools

The aim of my thesis is to elucitade MBI model to primary and secondary educational system, it means to schools and their elected IT processes from practical point of view. The reference model of Management Business Information is developed at the Department of Information at the Faculty of Information and Statistics at the School of Economics in Prague. The theoretical part of my thesis deals with elucitading of the reference MBI model to a reader. It briefly summarizes IT processes at educational system and refers to sources used while defining new MBI objects. This chapter also defines elected IT processes at educational system for which there are made MBI objects in a practical part of my thesis. In practical part of my thesis there are made proposals of defined objects including samples of documentation patterns. These objects are presented in charts that correspond with a format of MBI objects. In the last part of my thesis there is an example of applying the defined objects in practice while solving the process of installation the safety (camera) system with recording -- personal data processing. The proposals of defined objects are also published on MBI portal.

Ochrana soukromí a ochrana osobních údajů zaměstnanců v podnikatelském prostředí

The diploma thesis focuses on privacy and personal data protection in the em-ployment sphere. The literature research part defines terminology necessary for understanding this issue, including the basic Czech legislation on the protection of privacy and private data. It also examines the institute of The Office for Personal Data Protection. The original research part identifies processes of personal data and privacy pro-tection in a specific factory. We have examined personal data processing from the moment of advertising a tender for a job position to cessation of employment, inc-luding monitoring employees during their employment. Based on an application of insights gained during our research we recognized some missteps of the company in the light of the current legislation. In the original research part there is a sugges-tion of what specific alterations the company should make to manage their em-ployees data in accordance with the current Czech legislation.
