Ecological problems energetics CR
Šilar, Martin ; Bok, Jaromír (referee) ; Matoušek, Antonín (advisor)
This project presents the current status of power resources and supply in the Czech Republic and examines its different connections with ecology. The existing situation in energetics is described in the first chapter of the thesis. This chapter contains general information as well as an analysis of the progress to date related to the structure of installed power and to the amount of electricity generation and their consumption. The description of the common influence of energetics on the environment is provided in the following chapter, which also introduces the next step, namely a short survey of the characteristics of the currently used energy resources and their direct relationship to the monitored ecological problems. The practical part of the project is based on the calculation of emission in the fifteen biggest thermal power station in the Czech Republic. The calculated amounts of emission are compared with the related features of nuclear waste. The last chapter contains information about the EU legislation concerning the reduction of carbon dioxide. In this respect, there are presented also the measures planned to facilitate the reduction of carbon dioxide in Czech Republic.
The utilization analysis of wind power plant in the area of Czech Republic
Vepřek, Tomáš ; Belatka, Martin (referee) ; Matoušek, Antonín (advisor)
The bachelor paper is focused on the utilization of wind power plants in the area of the Czech Republic, a selection of favourable locations and an examination of it´s impact on the enviroment. The paper involves a description of the technology of wind power plant, it´s categorization, a performance calculation and economics reviewed of Czech republic.
Possibility of using alternative decentralized energy sources
Pitron, Jiří ; Pěcha, Jiří (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
The thesis concerns of the possibility by using alternative decentralized sources of energy. The first chapter describes current energy situation in the Czech Republic and consideration of future electrical energy consumption and the coverage by the renewable sources. Another part of this chapter describes each types of renewable energy with their advantages and disadvantages related to the Czech Republic. In the second chapter are introduced inputs which are appropriate for the plan of energetic system. The following theoretical chapter deals with each types of alternative energy sources using renewable source including the possibility of the installation and plan for the building. These alternative sources are sorted out by the way of using renewable sources of energy. The theoretical-practical fourth chapter concerns of the heating by the heat pump. For the detailed description was chosen the heat pump which is currently denote as appropriate alternative source of heat in household. With appropriate plan, which the thesis deals with, is this alternative source considered as proper investment. In the last chapter was assembled programme for creating models of energetic flux and calculation for the plan of heating by the heating pump air/water. This model is taken for concrete buildings related to exact outdoor temperature from previous years in concrete locality. In the end was realized validation of the software with the real measurement in concrete building.
Simulation of power supply from wind power stations
Bartošík, Tomáš ; Mendl, Tomáš (referee) ; Haluzík, Evžen (advisor)
Theme Master’s thesis was studying of wind energy power supply. Comparison of character of wind power supply in Czech Republic to power supply abroad. Thesis begins with short introduction of historical wind applications. It continues by theory of wind engines, the wind engines construction and its facilities. Next part describes wind energy characteristics and physics. It describes wind speed influence to power supply of wind turbine, a physical limits of wind engines efficiency. Later, meteorological forecast possibilities are mentioned. Following chapter classifies wind power plants by geographical locations and characterizes them. It presents and explains individual cases of wind energy business growth in Czech Republic and other countries. There are also mentioned many suitable locations for wind parks in Czech Republic. There are described data analysis methods in chapter number 5. Analysis results of day period graph and year period graphs are shown. Unsophisticated forecast model is sketched out and created in following chapter. Here the regressive analysis methods are described, such as Autoregressive moving average model (ARMA), which can bring satisfactory results. Another example is Markov switching autoregressive model (MSAR). Next step from statistic forecast models is to sophisticated large forecasting systems. Those systems require meteorological forecast data and historical wind power data. Data are analyzed by statistical models. They have been developed recently and they are ordinary used nowadays.
Wind energy
Král, Ondřej ; Brázdil, Marian (referee) ; Kracík, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis discuss wind energy sector. The first chapter focuses on basic construction types of wind power plants, their classification and description of the main parts. Basic physical principles by which electrical energy is produced, presents the next section, which deals with the lifetime of wind turbines, too. The final chapter describes the development of wind power in history, wind energy is here compared with other energy sources, and finally it is dedicated to matter of wind turbines’ energy payback.
Offshore and inland type of wind power
Chromec, Tomáš ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis focuses on wind energy sector. The first part describes the modern history of this industry. The brief description of the main differences between onshore and offshore wind farms followed an extensive chapter, which describes the diversification of wind power solutions and diversification in the case of wind farms located on the sea. Fluctuating needs for backup power sources in this work is included in chapter, which briefly describes the most appropriate energy storage devices. This is followed by section dealing with the economics of wind turbines. Possible negative impacts of wind energy are discussed in the final chapter about environmental impacts associated with wind power applications.
Legislative and economic aspects of exploitation of renewable energy sources
Vondra, Marek ; Katolický, Jaroslav (referee) ; Jaroš, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is a brief outline of legislative and economic issues associated with energy production from renewable sources. After reading the work, potential investors should be connive with the pros and cons of the use of renewable resources. The thesis has a recherche character and tries to provide basic information for the possible preparation of an investment project. Renewable energy sources have become an integral part of the energy market, despite their lack of profitability in comparison with conventional sources. It is a consequence of European Union’s financial support. However, the support is changing over time, as well as avalaible technologies, local conditions and many other factors affecting the current investment attractiveness of renewable energy sources. All these factors must be considered by an investor. The current situation is positive for use of biomass energy, both at home and in large incineration plants and cogeneration units. Electricity can be advantageously produced in photovoltaic and small hydropower plants. There is a growing importance of heat pumps exploitation. We can expect slower development of photovoltaic farms and wind power plants contructions.
Different use of the wind energy.
Sukup, Jan ; Houdková, Lucie (referee) ; Jícha, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis describe main kinds of wind turbines, principle of their functions and their usage to electricity generation. The second part deals with ways to storing wind energy. There is description of compressed air energy storage technology and their combination with combustion of biomass. Second mentioned energy storage technology is electrolysis of water and possibility of usage hydrogen.
Utilizing of wind energy with accumulation
Mészáros, Gabriel ; Chroboczek, Libor (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The introduction of this paper deals with wind-powerplants, their components and distribution according to their construction and output. Technologies of accumulation of energy are described, because the conditions for energy production from wind are not constant (windlessness, storms, etc.). The technologies are compared in terms of economics and technology. A basic design for a system with accumulation is made at the end of the thesis.
Design of Savonius rotor as source of electric energy
Hruška, Martin ; Sikora, Michal (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is concerned with possibilities to produce electricity from wind. A power source with Savonius rotor was designed and constructed as an educational model using the accessible materials. The simply measurement was taken to determine model features.
