Load bearing structure of a multi storey building
Janči, Michal ; Šmak, Milan (referee) ; Straka, Bohumil (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with the design and assessment of the load bearing structure of a multi-storey building, proposed by the combination of two materials, steel and glued laminated timber. The building has a V-shape, the angle between legs is 120 °. Floor plan dimensions of one arm of the building are approximately 40x20m, building height is 24.3 meters. The building is designed with a flat green roof. The load bearing structure is solved as a heavy frame, lower three floors are made of steel and serves as the business premises, top four floors are residential, and their structure is designed of the glued laminated timber. Bracing of the whole structure is solved by a system of crossed steel rods.
Theatre House in Přerov
Tichák, Tomáš ; Sýkora, Karel (referee) ; Barnat, Jan (advisor)
The main purpose of this work is a structural design of the building of theatre in Prerov city. The building has irregular shape. The structure is 72 m long, 54 m wide and 14,5 m high. Footprint equals to 2000 m2. Timber part of the building consists of glued laminated timber elements, as well as solid-sawn timber and steel ones. Steel part of the building includes tnasversal joint frames, composite steel and concrete ceilings, truss girders and bracings. This document includes design, internal force enumertion and structural assessment, including joints. Dlubal RFEM 5 structural analysis and design software has been utilized in the process. Drawings of the structure are enclosed.
Trade House in Brno
Serbousková, Kateřina ; Sýkora, Karel (referee) ; Barnat, Jan (advisor)
The final thesis deals with the design of the steel loadbearing structure of the shopping center situated in Brno. The built-up floor area is 1973 m2 (L-shaped ground plan with dimensions 48 m x 50 m). The construction consists of three parts. Building A has four above-ground floors and reaches a height of 25.5 m. The steel structure of mono-pitched roof is designed in two options. Both options consist of full-length purlins and truss girders. Building B is a single-storey building with a mono-pitched roof top reaching 8.1 m high. Building C is three-storey with a flat roof. The first floor has a construction height of 4.5 m and the remaining two floors reach height of 3.6 m, which coincide with building A. The steel structure is made of steel-concrete composite ceilings and pin-supported columns. In the case of bracings, pressure was eliminated by means of non-linearities.The work includes proposal, assessment of the supporting structure and calculation of the directional details. Internal forces were determined based on a static analysis in the SCIA Engineer calculation program.
The design of multi-storey building
Hardubej, Martin ; Girgle, František (referee) ; Švaříčková, Ivana (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is the design and assessment of selected elements of a new build multi-storey office building. The supporting structure of monolithic reinforced concrete skeleton is modeled SCIA Engineer and burdened set load cases and combinations. The outputs of the internal forces of the calculation program are dimensioned selected elements. Selected elements include locally supported slab, columns, column shoes, basement wall and footing still. The thesis is selected reinforced concrete elements assessed on the ultimate limit state. The output of this work is static calculation of individual elements. Another part of the output consists of drawings solved elements.
Multi-storey car park
Balhar, Martin ; Balázs, Ivan (referee) ; Sýkora, Karel (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of steel structure multi-storey garage. It is the five-storey steel structure of rectangular plan. The construction is designed for the city of Olomouc. Static calculation is solved by a combination of manual calculation and calculation using software Scia engineer 18. There are the following main load bearing structural elements designed and examined in the structural analysis: truss, purlin, bracing, column, composite beam, joints, foot and anchoring. Thesis includes drawing documentation
The load bearing structure of multi-storey reinforced concrete builidng
Burda, Patrik ; Švaříčková, Ivana (referee) ; Šimůnek, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on design on loadbearing reinforced concrete structure of multi-storey apartment building with shops and offices on the ground floor and underground garage. The thesis consists of the analysis and design of ceiling slabs above underground floor, supporting columns and the beam under the underground floor ceiling slab. Calculation 3D model was created to determine internal forces. All structures are designed according to EC2, ČSN EN 1992-1-1. The thesis includes elaboration of static calculation, shape drawings, drawings of reinforcement of solved structures. The rest of the project part are not analysed.
Steel structure of a business centre
Kočí, Petr ; Pilgr, Milan (referee) ; Štrba, Michal (advisor)
The diploma thesis elaborates on the proposal of a loadbearing steel structure of a shopping centre. Four-storey building has total lenght of 88 m, width 48 m and its base structural grid is 8 x 8 m. The total height of building is 25,4 m. First three floors above ground are designed with structural height of 5,6 m whilst the 4TH floor uses height of 4,0 m. Frame structure is formed by primary beams and castellated secondary beams. Above 4TH floor, the roof structure is designed in two alternative versions, both using solid purlins and truss girder. The 3D computer animation of the building is also part of thesis. The shopping centre that is subject of the final thesis is located in Brno area.
Multi-storey building
Surovec, Daniel ; Bajer, Miroslav (referee) ; Štrba, Michal (advisor)
The object of this thesis is to design and assess steel structure of multi-storey office center in Vsetín. Floor plan dimensions of building are 48x40m. The building has ten floors. Overall height is 35,5m. The building ceilings made of composite steel and concrete structure. The part of build are roofer atrium and one bigger room aula with dimensions 24x16m. Two construction variants were designed and assessed. Longitudinal and transverse rigity of variant A is ensured by truss bracing. Transverse rigity of variant B is ensured by truss bracing and longitudinal rigity is braced by bracing frames. The variant A is better.
Mixed-use building
Franc, Filip ; Sedlák, Radek (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to design new mixed-used building in Drásov. This building is situated on the outskirts of the town. The mixed-used building is design as detached building with four-storey and with partial basement. In the basement there are technical utilities, small storages and meeting room. On the firt floor there are commercial space as shoe store, sports equipment, household goods and hourer´s shop. On the second floor there are two separeted office premises. On the third and four floor there are eight flats. On the each foor there are four flats type 3+kk. Structural system of the building is design from ceramic masonry type Therm and from permanent formwork. There are ceilings from prestressed concerete floor slabs. The roof of the building is design as single-layer flat roof.
Seismic Design of Structural Steel Connections
Sotulář, Jiří ; Šabatka,, Lubomír (referee) ; Pilgr, Milan (referee) ; Hron, Lukáš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the analysis and standard check of structural steel connections subjected to seismic loads. Analysis is based on a software solution and standard check is performed according to standard requirements and formulas. The first part deals with the theory of seismic load. There are described the general knowledges about the earthquake and the method of determining the effects of seismic loading on buildings according to the EN 1998-1. In the second part of the thesis is made design and check seismically loaded multi-storey steel building. Design is based on recommendations of the EN 1998-1 and some recommendations of research. In the third part is the analysis, verification and check of steel joints, which are contained in the structure designed in the second part of the thesis. On the basis results of analyses of indivudual connections are defined recommendations and requirements for the use and design structural steel connections subjected to seismic loads.
