Starting time of the administration of museums in Strakonice, Písek and Vodňany

My graduation theses devotes to a demonstration of the museum revolution in three South Bohemian cities. It concerns the beginnings of the museum in Strakonice, Písek and Vodňany. It surveys their foundation and progression from the 80s of the 19th century till the 30s of the 20th century. It monitors the foundations of the museum associations, trustees and commissions; organization of the collection of the museum material and the resulting installation of the museum collections and their opening to public. The identical elements discovering by their starts conform to characteristic traits, that are typically for bohemia administration of museums generally. In them belongs the majority interest of the intelligence and rich people at the foundation of the museum. Reciprocal influence and interworking are conspicuous among nominative museums and a gradually incursion of the women in the sphere of the public life is unnoticac, and all in the bohemian administration of museums. The differences then infer a progession of the nascent bohemian administration of museums and advert to its advances and new inspiration elements.

Application of Integrated Library System Aleph 500 in academic libraries in Czech Republic

The master thesis describes and evaluates application of Integrated Library System Aleph 500 (in following text ILS Aleph) in academic libraries in Czech Republic. First chapter describes theoretical requirements at automated library systems for academic libraries. Apart of general requirements are described new technical trends as tools of Web 2.0. Second chapter brings full description of ILS Aleph with specification of each system's module. Third chapter is dedicated to implementation of ILS Aleph in Czech academic libraries. Characteristic of each institutional implementation contains three parts: characteristic of institution, describing of implementation and description of institutional OPACs. Last chapter is dedicated to empiric study of application of ILS Aleph in academic libraries in Czech Republic. ILS Aleph users are examined at three levels (library users, librarians, system administrators). Empiric study was made at group of Prague academic libraries that implemented ILS Aleph.

Tangible and intangible culture of region of Horehronie

The topic of the Bachelor's Thesis "Tangible and intangible culture of region of Horehronie" is description of cultural habits, traditions, cultural or national monuments and cultural events which are situated in the region. Thesis focuses also on specific cities and villages, which are the most important because of their monuments, events or other participation in preservation of culture. The most important is Brezno because it is administrative and cultural center of the region. Horehronie is well known by its strong relationship to folk traditions so I also focused on smaller villages such as Telgárt. Traditions are the most maintained and developed in there, and a lot of folk festivals take place there too. The benefit of this Thesis is to acquaint readers with the region of Horehronie, with its tangible and intangible culture and to find out how is culture maintained and developed by the population.

Urban camera supervising system: personal safety protection or the loss of privacy?

The diploma thesis deals with one of the precautions of criminality - Urban camera supervising system, which is constantly more often used in cities and villages in the public. Together with the requirements of citizens to secure their safety it brings the risk of privacy loss. The main intention of this thesis is to place the Urban camera supervising system into the focus point of the dilemma between two basic human rights: the right of human privacy and personal safety right. Next to the description of the terms privacy and safety, the writer examines the harmony of legal regulations of Urban camera supervising system with the concept of human liberty and the status of the state in the point of securing human safety. This thesis thinks of the problem by empirical facts and different theoretical aspects of political philosophy and political thinking, especially liberalism and conservatism. The thesis also looks into the quality of the connection between the citizen and local public administration in the realization of the project of Urban camera supervising system.

The social status of members of the Unity of the Brethren in Mladá Boleslav in the early 17th century

The Unity of the Brethren has a rich history in Mladá Boleslav. This thesis focused on the social status of members of the Unity of the Brethren in Mladá Boleslav in the early 17th century. The basic source, from which the research is based, is a part of a unique finding of the Brethren Church correspondence, which had been found in 2006. This is the registra of Boleslav corps Church from the years 1610 and 1611. By the processing and evaluation of entries in these registers is determined by amount of members of the Corps unity and their percentage representation of Bohemian Brethren in the population of the city. The participation of members of the Unity in the administration of the city has been identified according to the data in the indexes and records preserved in the books of the early 17th century. The work also pays attention to the representation of Bohemian Brethren in the leading positions of individual guilds in Mladá Boleslav. The subject of research is also the property status of the members of the Unity corps in Mladá Boleslav. Research found that in 1610 and 1611 members of the Unity corps in Mladá Boleslav were 17 % to 18 % of the population of the city. The Pelhřimov High School Library (1871-1918)

This bachelor's thesis "The Pelhřimov High School Library (1871-1918)" makes it its goal to present a thematic analysis of the teacher and student library at Pelhřimov High School. The paper is divided into six chapters. The first chapter contains a critique of the parameters and literature used. The second chapter succinctly describes the history of the city of Pelhřimov. The third chapter discusses the history of high schools as well as the history of the high school in Pelhřimov. The fourth chapter presents information on the development of public school libraries. The core of the paper is the analysis of the teacher and student library at Pelhřimov High School from the perspectives of time, language and subjects, and also from the perspective of the preservation of books. The conclusion summarizes all of the findings.

The Modeling of selected processes in the Prague 4 City District Office

This work consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part provides an introduction to the problems of public administration and local government in particular. It deals with municipalities, their legislation (Act on Municipalities and the City of Prague), types, responsibilities, authorities and the difference between self-dependent and devolved matters. It puts municipality into the context of eGovernment, presents two types of classification of eGovernment and highlights the specifics of administrative duties to which belongs also an electronic identity card (eOP) issue. It deals with a history and a purpose of the identity cards and with requirements they are connected to. A large part discusses the eOP, its differences from previous types, functionality, advantages and disadvantages that it brings, and its safety. It describes the procedures and the requirements for its issuance, proposes some improvements and looks into its future. It doesn't forget to evaluate the project of the eOP. It briefly mentions the process modeling. In the practical part is created a new classification of the services of eGovernement and outlines probably the first complex methodology for such classification. In here there is developed an extensive detailed process model describing the issuance of the eOPs in the Prague 4 City District office, measured this service and evaluated its effectiveness. Then survey focused on citizens' views on electronic identity cards and on the procedure of their issuance is processed.

Implementation of ITIL into Small and Medium Business

This work is initially focused on the general description of ITIL V3 (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and its five elementary books to enable the reader to become familiar with the essential terms and to get at least an overall view of this approach to the administration of IT services. The section Service Strategy is deeply analyzed on a theoretical level as well as in the practical part of the work. For the needs of this work, the term SMB -- Small and Medium Business is defined, in accordance with the recommendations of the European Commission. For these businesses, the work describes the advantages and disadvantages related not only to their operation, but also to the implementation of ITIL. In the practical part of the work, an analysis of a current state of a sample small business is carried out in the field of service strategy, the result of which is the assessment of its state according to the ITIL principles, pointing out faulty processes or incorrectly defined services, and the decision whether the company would benefit from changing its service strategy.
