Portréty umělců a hudebníků v próze Willy Catherové

The aim of the diploma thesis is a presentation of the detailed portraits of fictional artists and musicians in selected short stories and novels by Willa Cather. The diploma thesis contains three main chapters. The first chapter is focused on the delineation of the context of Willa Cather's writing. The chapter presents the author's biography focused on the musical impulses and crucial turns of Cather's authorship development as well as brief biographical facts about the real artistic personalities who inspired Cather's fictional characters. The second chapter concerns with the analysis of the fictional artistic characters in selected short stories by Willa Cather. The third chapter deals with the analysis of the fictional artistic characters in selected novels by Willa Cather.

Tato diplomová práce se bude zabývat čtyřmi vydanými sbírkami Karla Hlaváčka. Pokusí se postihnout jejich společné rysy ať už se jedná o prvky básnické metody nebo významové souvislosti. Práce sleduje významovou provázanost celého básnického díla od samotného začátku, ve kterém je básníkova tvorba zaměřená diametrálně jinak než na sklonku jeho života. S pomocí vodítek zanechaných ve tvorbě a s pomocí určitých biografických údajů budeme sledovat postupný vývoj básnické metody a myšlenkový posun. Z tohoto důvodu je každé sbírce věnovaná jedna kapitola, kde se budeme podrobně věnovat těm rysům, které pro danou sbírku považujeme za klíčové. Také se okrajově zmíníme o výtvarně kritické činnosti spisovatele a poukážeme na vzájemné souvislosti s básnickou tvorbou. U všech čtyř sbírek vyložíme rozdílné momenty s vysvětlením jejich možných příčin. Pokusíme se interpretovat básnickou tvorbu Karla Hlaváčka v širších souvislostech s vědomím úskalí, která každá subjektivní interpretace s sebou nese. Máme za cíl vysvětlit zdánlivou rozporuplnost jeho díla.

Optimizing schedules for International film festival’s staff

The International film festival in Karlovy Vary takes place annually. The hostess team is jointly responsible for the screenings and other VIP events to run smoothly. This paper will discuss the issues of time management and organisation associated with the hostess team. The first part of this document, which is purely theoretical, will describe basic principles and solution procedures for the real problem. The second part defines and addresses the real problem of scheduling and subsequently suggests for efficient method to solve it. The method is based on generating acceptable combinations of film screenings and other events that are further evaluated according to working hours, redeployment and downtime. After this evaluation, these combinations are selected which minimize the downtime, redeployment and number of employees, who are necessary to ensure all actions.

The influence of structural and technical condition on the cost of construction

The beginning of the master thesis includes basic terms, which explain issues of properties, structures, building plot, ownership and co-ownership, prices and its creation, operation life and use, and probability of occurrence of risks. I estimate the price of property through general price – comparative method, in the practical part of thesis. In the next part, I bring how structural and technical condition of construction influences the price of property. The conclusion of the master thesis focuses on summary of structural and technical effects, which influence the price of building and when is the best time to sell the property, according to my opinion.

Technical analysis based on trade volumes and their effectivity from the point of view of future price movements

This Bachelor Thesis studies methods of technical analysis based on trade volume. The first two chapters are theoretical. They describe financial markets, their functions, properties and methods used in analysis of financial instrument. In the next section is described efficient market hypothesis, forms of efficiency and tests of this hypothesis. The third chapter is analytical. The idea that extreme trading activity predict future increase, or decrease of stock prices is investigated. Here is described methodology, data aquisition, analysis results and comparison with other similar research.

The methodics of creating e-lerning courses

The aim of this thesis is to introduce the reader to creating e-learning courses. Theoretical part explains the basic terms of e-learning, presents its technological forms and tools used. Thus creates the foundations for understanding its functionality and meaning. Also mentioned are the advantages and disadvantages of the courses. The main part of the thesis proposes a new way how to create e-learning courses, based on specifics of e-learning education. This new methodics is primarily addressed to an academical environment, where majority of the e-learing courses is created. Application of this methodics is consequently demonstrated on a section of the university course.

Discussion on exchange-rate regimes: Hayek versus Friedman

This bachelor thesis follows up approaches of F. A. von Hayek and Milton Friedman on international monetary arrangements. Analytical part contains research of work of both authors. In Hayek's work, the theory of income chain flows is highlighted first and second, synchronization of growth of export sectors and fall of import sectors across the whole national economy during depreciation is stressed in the flexible exchange rate regime. From Friedman's work those parts are chosen which are consistent with Hayek's theory. Primarily, differences between effects of speculation demand for foreign currency are mentioned. In the synthesis of both approaches, three international monetary systems are defined (international real gold standard, pseudo-gold standard and clear floating). The aim is to choose a system, which is the best for creation of wealth, therefore the one, where prices do not lose their information value. The thesis shows that the system with international real gold standard is the most suitable. Furthermore, the hypothesis that says, that approaches of both authors are compatible, is refused. The last chapter deals with the international monetary perspective of the Czech Republic.

Assortment of payment cards in the Czech Republic

A target of this work is to explore offer of payment card and their additional services on the czech market. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts which are important to understanding of this topic. All kinds of cards, payment methods and ways to protect cards are defined in teoretical part. The important principles to protect the payment made by the card are also defined. The practical part describes the products offered by the three largest banks in the Czech republic. Prices for services are summarized in the table. Products of the three largest Czech banks are compared thanks to model klients, which are defined. The result is a recommendation of the best credit card for this client. Debit cards are compared too.

Methods of the long-term assets valuation in a company

This dissertation work deals with theme of appraisement long term tangible assets in company in terms of intradepartmental bookkeeping, which company give upon voluntary base. Work is situated into five independent parts, when is the first devoted delimitation financial and intradepartmental bookkeeping and differences between them. Furthermore is mention about legislative delimitation single access to appraisement in terms of both bookkeeping. Second part is focused on substantial of meaning subject of dissertation work. Third part discusses about theoretic bases this work; define difference in appraisement that is based on prices found out on basis of court expert record against appraisement real value. Next part is devoted research, from whose coming - out designed model of appraisement real value. Follows by work evaluation, her scientific contribution to theory, practice and pedagogy.

A Study of the Feasibility of Business Plan of Pre-paid Model Tasting of Moravian Wine

The thesis aims to assess the feasibility of the business plan of pre-paid model of tasting of Moravian wine and judge whether it pays off to invest into this business plan. The feasibility study serves to confirm the execution of the business plan. The study describes the establishment of limited liability company and activities that are related to its establishment. It analyzes the environment through PEST analysis and Porter's five forces model. Market research is conducted via a survey, which serves as a basis for determination of an estimate of potential customers. Marketing mix allows to describe the product, pricing, distribution, promotion plan and marketing communications. The final price is determined using the calculation formula. The opening balance sheet of the company is prepared within this thesis. The amount of capital, the costs and sources of funding are determined. The financial plan includes estimated revenue, profit, return on equity and cash flow plan for the first two years of the life of the company.
