CERIF - Common European Research Information Format: An Introduction
Dvořák, Jan
CERIF (Common European Research Information Format) is the model of the research domain. It includes the base entities of Publication, Project, Funding, Person, Organization Unit, and many others. Every entity instance can have any number of type or subject classifications. The facts are kept in temporally bound, role-based M:N relationships between entities in the model. Both roles and types are kept in the Semantic Layer that allows for formal syntax and declared semantics. Text attributes can have values in multiple languages. CERIF has been recommended by the European Commission as the standard for building CRISs (Current Research Information Systems). The stewardship of the data model has been entrusted to euroCRIS, the not-for-profit non-government association of research information management professionals.

The aim of this work was to summarize the care for patients with spinal cord injury (SCI) in selected countries in Europe and the comparison among them including the Czech Republic. METHODOLOGY: Included information search in the bibliographic database www.pubmed.org and in a search engine www. google.com, information gained from questionnaires and web sites of spinal centers as well as a personal visit to a spinal centre in Glasgow. CONCLUSION: In 9 of the 10 selected countries, there exists comprehensive multidisciplinary care for patients with SCI. We can find four types of spinal centers in the selected countries. First a large centre, fully equipped and independent on other hospital care, with a comprehensive care including multidisciplinary care with a vocational therapy, a driving course, a surgical treatment of secondary complications and a special unit for sexual disorders and obstetrics (UK, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Ireland). The second type is the spinal unit as a hospital department also with a multidisciplinary team (Italy, UK, Spain, Germany, France, Ireland). In both types of spinal centers the patients stay from initial time after the injury until discharge and then they visit outpatient department for follow up rehabilitation. The third type is a rehabilitation center cooperating with a...

Popisuje současný stav dané oblasti a uvádí některé vyhlídky do budoucnosti. Třetí celek, dekompozice PIS, se zabývá dvěmi složkami PIS, kterými jsou lidé a ERP systémy. V případě lidí uvádí jejich vlastnosti, u ERP pak vlastnosti, skladbu a popis funkcí jednotlivých modulů. Čtvrtá, poslední a nejrozsáhlejší část, přibližuje problematiku měření IS/IT. Konkrétně jsou uvedeny problematiky měření nákladů, přínosů. V závěru je popsána problematika úzce provázaná s měřením a řízením IS/IT. Práci je vypracována metodou rešerše informačních zdrojů a doplněna o závěry ze studia příslušné literatury.

Dufek, Jaroslav ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Šaršon, Jindřich (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with Telco specialized software and its specific software focusing on OSS (Operational Support Systems) and ordering. The introductory chapter describes IT background of an average telecommunications provider and offers complex view to the relations with BSS (Business Support System). The thesis also mentions integration of individual parts from provider's IT background to a whole and describes the usual methods to achieve this goal. The second part deals with the issue of standardization of Telco software and its history. It describes the establishment of Telemanagement Forum and its program NGOSS (New Generation Operations Systems and Software). Then, OSS functionalities are described by way of an example case study for an important Czech telecommunications corporation. The last part deals with telecommunications market in European Union and basic characteristics of telecommunications providers and their supplier companies. In conclusion, the analyzed problems are summarized and the importance of telecommunications software and telecommunications in general is explained.

Feasibility study for the upgrade of LMS Moodle
Havlíček, Jiří ; Husa, Jiří (advisor) ; Karel, Karel (referee)
Bachelor thesis "Feasibility study for the upgrade of LMS Moodle" deals with the analysis of data and database structures of Moodle versions 1.4 and 3.0, their mutual compatibility and the possibility of transferring from an older version to the new one. The theoretical part introduces the basic software components required for proper function of LMS Moodle environment, their characteristics with the possible justification for their selection and use. The practical part compares the specific differences in data and database structure of both versions, which ultimately appears to be completely different, i.e. non-transferrable from the old version to the new LMS Moodle. The practical part also step by step describes official upgrading procedure which is recommended by LMS Moodle developers. Thesis is concluded by summarizing the test results and subsequent recommendation of the general procedure for upgrading the website. This upgraded web environment could offer more modern look and use of the new features to all students, teachers and visitors.

Systems of Retail Regulation in European Countries
Tkadlečková, Tereza ; Bednář, Pavel (referee) ; Spilková, Jana (advisor)
8 Abstract This thesis contributes to debate on retail development regulation in European territory. The aim of the text is firstly to evaluate differences between instruments that are used to standardize retail development in Europe. Secondly, point out relevance of rules existence to control retail spread. And thirdly elaborate a scheme of typology according to present valid limits in selected countries. The field survey is divided into two parts. It is primarily focused on modern developing period, interprets basic changes and trends of current situation and atractivity of particular regions for next development. Attention is also paid to describe general impact of assessing influence on environment by retail development. As an output of this work is division countries into groups by analysing their system of legislative restriction's structure and mechanisms of commercial planning. Five categories were described by chosen characteristics. One of the characteristics is the relation between competences in hierarchical levels of state authorities. Another example is differences in allocation of decision making in developing process. Keywords: retail impact assessment - commercial planning - regulating indicators

The impact of the nuclear accident at Chernobyl on the environment
Dvořáková, Markéta ; Braniš, Martin (referee) ; Přibil, Rudolf (advisor)
Modern civilization is dependent on the production of energy. But there are only two energy sources that can cover our energy needs: the energy produced by burning fossil fuels and the energy produced by nuclear fission. People are afraid of nuclear accidents and storage of radioactive waste in relation with the use of nuclear energy. My work focuses on the risk of a nuclear accident, which is demonstrated on the Chernobyl nuclear accident. There were obsolete types of nuclear reactors at Chernobyl. The staff, which serviced the power plant, was inadequately prepared for the experiment. A lot of radionuclides released into atmosphere after the explosion at Chernobyl. They affected mainly the near area from the power plant. There was announced the thirty kilometers large Zone of Alienation. My work deals with the consequences of the accident at Chernobyl for environment - health effects for people and the exposure to animals and plants in the near but also in farther area from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

Design, parameterization and verification of a coarse-grained model of DNA
Dršata, Tomáš ; Lankaš, Filip (advisor) ; Jurečka, Petr (referee)
Structure and mechanical properties of DNA play a key role in its biological functioning. A lot of well-established conclusions about the DNA structure and its sequence-dependent variabil- ity came from various experimental and computational studies of the Dickerson-Drew dodecamer (DD), a prototypic B-DNA molecule of the sequence (5')CGCGAATTCGCG(3'). In this study we present a detailed analysis of structural and mechan- ical properties of DD based on extensive atomistic molecular dynamics (MD) simulations with explicit representation of wa- ter and ionic environment. We analyze three simulated systems covering different ionic conditions and water models. Two MD trajectories are reported for the first time, one of them being 2.4 µs long. An extensive comparsion with one recent NMR struc- ture and four recent X-ray structures is made. It is found that the end basepairs can adopt two different pairing motifs dur- ing the simulation: the canonical Watson-Crick pair or a non- canonical trans Watson-Crick/Sugar Edge pair. These states can significantly influence the structure of DD even at the third step from the end. A clear relationship is found between the BI/BII backbone substates and the basepair step conformation. A model of rigid bases is used to study mechanical properties of the DNA. The non-local...
