Formality and informality in pupil´s written speeches

The Bachelor thesis is called "Formal and informal language in pupil´s writing," it mainly deals with non-standard elements in written form (errors in phonetics, in grammar, (il)logicality in speech..). The thesis is divided into two main parts, the first part is theoretical, it summarizes the most important findings about children's writing skills with its features and the most common mistakes. The second part is practical, written on the basis of research and subsequent analysis of written expressions of sixth grade students. The main goal of the thesis is to provide information about the issue and subsequently confirm or disprove the assumptions stated in the theoretical part, or possibly help the students who wish to avoid these inaccuracies in writing.

Kotvení předpjaté frp výztuže pro betonové konstrukce

Non-metallic reinforcement has many advantages, but there are some areas of application that need to be resolved to improve the usage of FRP reinforcement in real conditions. One of the disadvantages of FRP reinforcement is its lower modulus of elasticity, which leads to greater deflections of structures and can also cause early propagation of cracks. The paper deals with the possibility of eliminating this problem by prestressing the reinforcement. It covers several problems related to anchoring and current anchoring methods used world-wide. The paper also mentions some drawbacks of these methods. In an effort to bypass these drawbacks a new anchoring method has been developed. It differs in the way longitudinal forces are transferred from the bar to the surrounding concrete. Basically, it is based on the addition of an additional anchoring member (cylinder) on the surface. This member is made of polymers so the whole system remains completely steel-free and very simple to produce. Before using the system in real structures a series of tests were performed and the results are presented. Also, some prestressed test panels were prepared and compared with standard panels.

Adalbert Stifter and his relation to the Czech Bohemian forest

Adalbert Stifter´s works are connected with his home and origin. The nature of South Bohemia and the Bohemian Forest are not only local but historical elements of his works. His realism does not only describe but also critically portrays life of the people living in this surrounding. An analysis will be done on the basis of three tales: Der Hochwald, Der beschriebene Tännling and Der Waldgänger. The analysis literary processes the plot and life in the Bohemian Forest. The first part focuses on selected works and their connection to the life of the author. It summarizes his life from his youth to his early adulthood. The second part deals with the belief in God which is an important element of Stifter´s works. The third part focuses on author´s criticism of people´s treatment of nature. This bachelor thesis will be written in Czech.

The Socioeconomic Status of Parents of Children Hospitalised Due to Injury in the Paediatric Ward

Accidents pose a significant problem of public health care systems. According to statistical data more than five million people die of accident injuries worldwide. Currently, the accident issue has enjoyed a special attention. Injuries of children are considered the most severe enemy and at the same time the most frequent death cause in children and young adults and the third most frequent cause of death in the population as a whole. In the Czech Republic, accident injuries result in 300 child deaths and 3000 permanently handicapped in a year. In my diploma work I have focussed on accidents at an early age, which currently occur more a more frequently. My research has dealt with children who tend to be prone to accident risks. The objective of my paper has been to monitor the circumstances of child accidents in the course of the calendar year 2010 in children staying in the paediatric ward and to find out whether the socio-economic status of a particular family has an impact on the accident circumstances. The theoretical section of my work contains a description of the individual accidents which are typical for the population of children and the practical section consists of an evaluation of statistical data, which I have collected using secondary data analysis and case studies of children staying at hospital as well as a questionnaire interview of parents. The quantitative research shows that the most frequent cause of a hospital stay of patients in the Paediatric Ward of the Český Krumlov Hospital in the course of 2010, as a result of an accident, were falls, fractures, contusions without head injury, the second most frequent cause of a hospital stay were head and brain injuries, the third place was occupied by injuries of the body surface (wounds, skin abrasions, bruises). It has been found that the most frequent accident occurrence circumstances are connected with children´s play without the supervision of their parents, then accidents occurring in relationship with sports activities and finally traffic accidents (bikers and in-line skaters). Based on testing the hypotheses, the research has further shown that the socio-economic factors or the family status tend to have an impact on the circumstance under which the accident happened.

The current state of affairs and future of museum's libraries in Prague

(in English): The thesis describes the current situation and possible development of museum libraries in Prague. Its aim is to assess the current state of museum libraries in Prague, using a questionnaire survey accomplished in early 2011. In the descriptive part of the thesis is first briefly mentioned the history and basic legislation of museum libraries in Prague. Then follows a detailed description of the current state according to the specifics (founders, focus and scope of the collections, acquisition and processing of library collections, services and access to the collections, digitization, library presentation on the Internet, the current methods of financing options for museum libraries, library position within the museum etc.), activities and cooperation of the museum libraries in Prague and the illustrated examples of four museum libraries in Prague (National Museum Library, Library of the Jewish Museum in Prague, Library of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague and Library of National Technical Museum). In further part of the thesis is described in detail survey questionnaire method based on established facts and summary by the current state of museum libraries in Prague and their respective strengths and weaknesses. Conquering the fortress of body: translation and interpretation of selected Gorakhnath's old Hindi pads

Cílem této práce je prostřednictvím překladu a výkladu osmi vybraných padů představit některé aspekty Górakhnáthova učení tak, jak se odrážejí v jemu připisované vernakulární textové tradici. Při překládání těchto padů jsem se snažila o uvedení všech možných variant překladu, stejně tak při jejich komentování jsem si kladla za cíl poukázat na vícero možností výkladu daných veršů. Ovšem vzhledem k povaze těchto textů jsem si vědoma toho, že zde uvedené interpretace nemusejí být jediné možné. Nepokouším se zde o překlad literární, ale co nejdoslovnější, který se snaží zachytit specifika gramatického textu. Tato práce není studií primárně lingvistickou ani se nesnaží systematicky vyložit Górakhnáthovo učení. Kapitoly, které se těmto záležitostem věnují, jsou zamýšleny jako doplnění ústřední části této práce a jsou tedy jakýmsi uvedením do celkového kontextu. Co se týče transliterace, v přepisech moderní hindštiny, tedy v citacích slovníkových hesel apod., pokud se tzv. inherentní a nevyslovuje, tak ho nahrazuji uprostřed slova tečkou a na konci slova ho neuvádím. Je-li jeho výslovnost oslabená, naznačuji ji horním indexovým a. v přepisech starohindských výrazů píši a důsledně jak uprostřed tak na konci slova. Relational database systems with a view to library applications

Cílem této práce je překlenout propast mezi akademickou teorií o databázích a skutečným vytvářením databází v reálném knihovnickém světě. Práce je zaměřena na výklad informací, které je třeba vzít v úvahu, pokud se rozhodneme navrhovat databáze pro knihovní aplikace. V textu diplomové práci není vynecháno ani důležité vypracování analytické dokumentace k databázovým projektům. Stejně tak jsou popsány i možné návrhy grafických uživatelských rozhraní. Práce vychází z případů, které se vyskytují v reálném provozu knihovny, resp. v knihovnickém systému, jenž je v dnešní moderní době stěžněm každého provozu knihovny. Tyto případy se zakládají na běžných implementacích jazyka SQL.

Supreme Court at the bar of politics

Diplomová práce s názvem "Nejvyšší soud USA coby kormidlo moci a vývoje" si klade otázku, jakou roli hraje v politickém systému americký Nejvyšší soud. Akcentována je jeho pravomoc ústavního přezkumu a ochránce individuálních práv, dále je analyzována jeho povaha v rámci systému oddělení mocí a pozice mocenského a společenského hráče. Úvodní část práce se věnuje náčrtu ústavního zakotvení Nejvyššího soudu, následuje rozbor pozice Nejvyššího soudu v systému brzd a rovnováh, převážnou část textu nicméně tvoří analýza vybraných soudních precedentů, které změnily tvář moderní americké společnosti.

Zheng Chouyu - the life and works of the classic author of Taiwanese

Mým úmyslem bylo v této práci postihnout charakteristické rysy básnické tvorby, kterou se Zheng Chouyu natrvalo zapsal do dějin moderní taiwanské poezie. Snažila jsem se poskytnout co nejširší úhel pohledu na Zheng Chouyuho rané dílo a všímala si jak témat a motivů, tak i formálních a jazykových prostředků. Součástí charakteristiky stylu bylo také zamyšlení nad vztahem Zheng Chouyuho díla k tradiční čínské poezii. Soustředila jsem se na estetickou hodnotu básní a posuzovala je jako samostatné entity, i když nebylo vždy možné zcela přehlédnout společenské vlivy, které měly podíl na jejich vzniku. Centrem mého zájmu bylo čtení básní a následná analýza jazyka, techniky zpracování, témat, stylu a obraznosti. V textu jsem uvedla příklady vybraných básní typických pro dané téma nebo pro námět zpracovaný v jisté kapitole. Soustředila jsem se na interpretaci jednotlivých básní a na jejich rozbor.
