Effects of MNC on the Czech market

My thesis concentrates on a specific Czech company, owned by a foreign multinational corporation and its effects on the Czech market. The name of the company is Eurest, Ltd., its owner is a british company Compass Group PLC. The thesis is dividend into two main parts. First, theoretical, deals with globalization, FDI and multinational corporations in general. The second, practical part is focused on the description of the company's activities, offered products and services and the internal affairs. This thesis also describes relationships with customers, suppliers and other important subjects involved in business with Eurest. It also describes and analyzes particular effects and indicators it has had on the Chech market over the period from 2002 to 2007. The future plans of the company are also described.

Diploma thesis analyses connection of sponsorship and sales support in transnational corporations. It defines how these corporations direct their sponsorship strategies, if globally or locally. In the first chapter, it describes connection of sponsorship and commercial communications from the law, tax and mostly marketing point of view. In the second chapter, it describes possible forms of sales support in sponsorship projects. The third chapter analyses the impact of the globalization on sponsorship and sales support and describes integrated marketing communication. Telefónica S.A. and McDonald's Corporation are described as practical examples of the connection of sponsorship and sales support in transnational corporations.
Managment in the global economy: opportunities and risks

The thesis start from general introduction to globalization but its focus is on the following areas: global buying of company inputs (sourcing), expanding on the foreign/global markets (output) and managing the risks associated with globalization (increased competition, foreign currency and raw material/inputs hedge). Overall the thesis is practical in its approach and thus it provides the real applicable approaches in terms of the management in the global economy. Despite these practicalities the thesis also aims at analyzing the more general business environment for global activities of a firm. This is realized in section on economic assessment of the market and evaluation of foreign currency fundamentals.
