Study of layout of corridor Danube – Oder – Elbe
Velek, Petr ; Zelený, Lubomír (advisor) ; Korbel, Viktor Emanuel (referee)
Bachelor's thesis attempts to design an optimal route of intended canal interconnection of the rivers Danube, Oder and Elbe. In the first part, the work describes the evolution of project D -- O -- E and introduces limitary parameters, that this corridor has to comply in accord with the European waterways classification. In the second part, this paper analyzes routes of variant sections of water interconnection D -- O -- E, all of which are measured with predefined comparative criteria. Special focus is given to the capacity of this water corridor to compete with existing water corridors and its capability to meet needs of maximal transporting flow.

Evaluation and accuracy of the local velocity data measurements in an agitated vessel
Kysela, Bohuš ; Konfršt, Jiří ; Chára, Zdeněk ; Kotek, M.
Velocity measurements of the flow field in an agitated vessel are necessary for the improvement and better understanding of the mixing processes. The obtained results are used for the calculations of the impeller pumping capacity, comparison of the power consumption etc. We performed various measurements of the local velocities in an agitated vessel final results of which should be processed for several purposes so it was necessary to make an analysis of the obtained data suitability and their quality. Analysed velocity data were obtained from the LDA (Laser Doppler Anemometry) and PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) measurements performed on a standard equipment where the flat bottomed vessel with four baffles was agitated by the six-blade Rushton turbine. The results from both used methods were compared. The frequency analyses were examined as well as the dependency of the data rates, time series lengths etc. The demands for the data processed in the form of the ensemble-averaged results were also established.

Capacitive sensor in low temperature co-fired Ceramic
Symerský, Tomáš ; Řezníček, Michal (referee) ; Kosina, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with theoretical knowledge of basic materials especially of a low-temperature ceramics, which enables creating multi-layer structures. Different defects occur by forming these structures, especially in the area of cavernas and micro-tubules. This thesis uses different methods which lead to an elimination of these defects. The thesis also deals with techniques which can be used to a realization of these sensors. Achieved knowledge helped to draft and realize the capacity sensor of flow and pressure in a low-temperature ceramics. The pressure sensor was tested by the load in the frequency spectrum, while the flow sensor was tested for different substances.

Production management in the selected company
MIKULÁŠKOVÁ, Petra
This Bachelor thesis analyses manufacturing process of one of the main products of chosen company that produces hand tools. The introductory part sums up basic theoretical terms of this topic. The main part analyses the manufacturing process itself, the flow of material and capacity of individual workplaces, with the aim to find drawbacks of the current situation. Solutions to more effective production are proposed from the facts found, as well increase of the production capacity for the specific product.

Assessment effects substandard tributaries flowing a proportion on Q/h characteristics thin-plate weir with a rectangular cutout
Šmidrkalová, Nina ; Šafář, Robert (referee) ; Žoužela, Michal (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with the problem of measuring flow, especially using the method of Q/H characteristics. It describes the thin-plate weir and mentions specific channels. The master´s thesis suggests options of monitoring flow capacity in fixed proffiles with free surface. The master´s thesis also includes an experiment, which is focused on simulation of substandard tributary flowing proportions before weirs for determining their effect on Q/H characteristcs. The experiment is carried out on a thin-plate weir with a rectangular notch at the Department of Water Structures at the Faculty of Civil Engeneering in Brno. Another part of the master´s thesis is data processing to get an idea about the impact of the phenomenon in real applications. Finally, options are recommended for follow-up research.

Effect of a comprehensive rehabilitation program of children with asthma bronchiale
Vránová, Eva ; Hošková, Blanka (advisor) ; Majorová, Simona (referee)
Title: Effect of a comprehensive rehabilitation program of children with asthma bronchiale Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to show the usefulness and necessity of physical therapy in children with bronchial asthma and how does it affect them. Another objective was to summarize the possible available methods with demonstrations of examples of individual exercises that can be used for this disease. The aim was also monitoring and evaluation of the patient's subjective feelings. Methods: In the thesis we carried out a single arm experiment, where we used comprehensive kinesiology analysis of individual subjects and the methods of lung function tests. From the lung function test, we chose the spirometry test by method of curve flow / capacity and also we used the peak expiratory flow monitoring using peak-flow-meter. We compared the subjective feelings of clients at the beginning and the end of the treatment program. In the period we watched the changes of value in individual measuring techniques. Results: We found that a comprehensive treatment of children asthma has a significant impact on their posture and also on the respiratory functions and subjective perception of individual symptoms investigated clients. All clients received the same treatment and each of them occurred in...

Development and validation of method for determination of clotrimazole in cream using HPLC
Poláčková, Jitka ; Matysová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Chocholoušová Havlíková, Lucie (referee)
The topic of my work was to optimalize and to validate the method for determination of capacity of the Clotrimazol, degradeted product (2-chlorophenyl) diphenylmethanol and conservations (methylparaben and propylparaben) in the preparation Clotrimazol ointment. My effort for this work was to develop the method that could half for total separation the particular defined substance in this sample, in the acceptable time, to find inside standard, to optimalize the conditions of separation and the method verify. The optimum chromatographic conditions were found on column Zorbax SB - Phenyl, 3,5 μm, 4,6 x 75 mm in the flow of mobile phase 0,5 ml per minute and wave - length 210 nm. Composition of the mobile phase was acetonitrile - water (55:45), pH water component was modified by acid phosphoric 5 % on 3,2. If these conditions are used, this method is validating. The testing parameters were accuracy, correctness, linearity, selectivity, robustness, detection and quantitative limit and test if the chromatographic system is acceptable.

Rainfall - runoff relationship in small mountainous catchments
Tesař, Miroslav ; Šír, Miloslav ; Pražák, J.
The singular phenomenon of flow instabilities was observed in a small catchment: in some situations, the water supplied by rain caused a pronounced decrease in the soil water content. This soil water movement can be explained by assuming an irregularly oscillating outflow of soil water into lower horizons. In these situations a large volume of water flows through the soil; on the hydrological scale, this phenomenon forms a great part of the outflow from a watershed. The phenomenon can be described in the frame of the instability driven flow theory and explained as consequence of the porous soil bodyŽs capacity to become conductive in results of a very little change of its moisture. In this way, the soil profile can attenuate or amplify the rainfall pulses during their transformation to the outflow.

The determination of minimal countercurrent distance of the water surface sensor from the thin-plate V-notch weir.
Kopečná, Monika ; Zubík, Pavel (referee) ; Žoužela, Michal (advisor)
This thesis clarifies the issue of the measuring flows with the help of capacity measurement systems using Q/h characteristics and also describes measuring techniques for determining the water surface level. The various types of measuring weirs and their Q/h characteristics are described in detail. It also mentions the position of the installation of the sensor. The main task is to find a practical minimal countercurrent distance of the water surface sensors used in practice for use with a V-notch weir in the form of experimental measurements in the water management research laboratory at the Department of Water Structures Faculty of Civil Engineering in Brno. The weirs used for this experiment had top angle cutouts of 90°, 53°8´ and 28°4´. The obtained data is evaluated and subsequently the minimal countercurrent distance of the water surface sensor is determined. The thesis also includes recommendations for further research.
