Modification of electroinsulating varnish with ground mica
Drápal, Aleš ; Frk, Martin (referee) ; Rozsívalová, Zdenka (advisor)
This master's thesis focuses on composite systems based on varnish combined with different filler ratios of micronized mica. The aim is to analyse impact of the filler on dielectric properties of the varnish, i.e. relative permittivity and loss factor as functions of frequency as well as charging and discharging currents as functions of time. Dielectric mixture formulas are applied on relative permittivity values. Calculated and measured values are compared.

This thesis deals with the dielectric relaxation spectroscopy applied to samples of an epoxy slip filled by grounded mica with granularity of 40 m. The changes of dielectric properties were investigated depending on the fulfillment of grounded mica, temperature, the relative air humidity, and the frequency between 100 Hz and 1MHz.
Study of the dielectric properties of perovskite crystals
Mlčkovová, Hana ; Pospíšil, Jan (referee) ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis deals with the preparation of perovskite single crystals by inverse thermal crystallization and subsequent study of the basic properties of these hybrid organic-inorganic materials that can be used in various optoelectronic (photodetectors, transistors, lasers, LEDs) or photovoltaic applications. Their behavior in the electric field was studied by impedance spectroscopy. Impedance and capacitance-voltage (C-V) characteristics (frequency dependences) were measured in the dark and in the light. From the impedance dependences for measurements at 0 V voltage in the dark, the equivalent circuit was modeled and its parameters and dielectric constant were determined. From the C-V dependence, Mott-Schottky analysis determined the parameters – "flat-band" potential U_"fb" and charge carrier density N_"C-V" , the parameter – the so-called Warburg coefficient was found, which together with the parameter N_"C-V" was used to calculate the diffusion coefficient D.
Dielectric Properties of Vegetable Oils for Electrical Engineering
Spohner, Milan ; Mejzlík,, Miroslav (referee) ; Mentlík, Václav (referee) ; Liedermann, Karel (advisor)
The dissertation thesis deals with the analysis of prospective environmentally compatible electrical insulating fluids for electrical engineering in relation to their chemical structure. The thesis starts with the overview of the current state of the art and of the latest trends in the use of synthetic and biodegradable natural oils. In the experimental part were studied these oils: mineral oils, rapeseed oil, sunflower oils, soybean oil, methyl oleate, peanut oil, MCT oil, castor oil and other. Dielectric properties were measured using LRC meter Agilent 4980A including dielectric liquid test fixture Agilent 16452A and also by the Novocontrol Alpha-A analyzer. Electrical properties are presented in the frequency range 10 mHz – 1 MHz range in the temperature interval 253 K to 363 K. The work goes on with the study of the suitability of individual oils for lower temperature, including the impact of the chemical structure and formulation on electrical properties.
Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy of doped PVDF fibers
Morfologie a distribuce nanostrukturované keramiky do polymerní matrice PVDF byla pozorována použitím skenovací elektronové mikroskopie (SEM) a energiově disperzní spektroskopie (EDX). Pro tvorbu fáze a podrobné fázové složení byly vzorky charakterizovány infračervenou spektroskopií s Fourierovou transformací (FTIR). Práce také obsahuje analýzu s použitím Ramanovy spektroskopie, metody používané k identifikaci a porovnání chemických sloučenin.
Dielectric properties of epoxy resins
Matoušová, Klára ; Novák, Vítězslav (referee) ; Kazelle, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the fundamental properties of epoxide mixtures, as determining of these fundamental properties of epoxide mixtures could in the case of favorable results lead to diminishing the amount of defects in epoxide-embedded instrument transformers. As the influence of effects in the manufacturing process of transformers causing poor quality is very extensit, the biggest emphasis is laid capitally on the influence of the epoxide casting mixture composition. The thesis describes the manufacture technology including used methodics and materials. The compositions of epoxide resins and the mechanisms of their curing. Also, the definitions of fundamental properties of dielectric materials and the description of diagnostic methods used to relative permitivity, dissipation factor and inner resistivity are included. suitable casts of acquired samples were set and dried out within the experimental part, followed by measurement of fundamental electrical properties in temperature and frequency relations. Hereafter a comparison of individual samples and the evaluation of their electrical properties will be carried out.
Network for high-frequency on-body communication
Halas, David ; Láčík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kokolia, Martin (advisor)
This work focuses on the design of a network for high-frequency communication on the human body. The thesis is focused on the design of two-band antennas, namely 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz. The antenna is integrated into the textile and works close to the human body. The introduction describes the problem of spreading electromagnetic waves along the human body. Further, the thesis deals with the applicability of different types of antennas for integration on the textile substrate. Based on the simulations performed, a suitable antenna is selected for the purpose. The simulation program used is the CST Microwave Studio. In the end, the antennas were optimized, subsequently manufactured and their parameters measured.
