Agent optimization by means of genetic programming

This thesis deals with a problem of choosing the most suitable agent for a new data mining task not yet seen by the agents. The metric is proposed on the data mining tasks space, and based on this metric similar tasks are identified. This set is advanced as an input to a program evolved by means of genetic programming. The program estimates agents performance on the new task from both the time and error point of view. A JADE agent is implemented which provides an interface allowing other agents to obtain estimation results in real time.
Multi-Agent systems and organizations

Multi-agent systems (MAS) are emerging as a promising paradigm for conceptualizing, designing and implementing large-scale heterogeneous software systems. The key advantage of looking at components in such systems as autonomous agents is that as agents they are capable of flexible self-organization, instead of being rigidly organized by the system's architect. However, self-organization is like evolution-it takes a lot of time and the results are not guaranteed. More often than not, the system's architect has an idea about how the agents should organize themselves-what types of organizations they should form. In our work, we tried to solve the problem of modelling organizations and their roles in a MAS, independent of the particular agent platform on which the MAS will eventually run. First and foremost, we have proposed a metamodel for expressing platform-independent organization models. Furthermore, we have implemented the proposed metamodel for the Jade agent platform as a module extending this framework. Finally, we have demonstrated the use of our module by modelling three specific organizations: remote function invocation, arithmetic expression evaluation and sealed-bid auction. Strategic Game in Multi-Agent System Jason

This thesis describes artificial inteligence used in developement of computer games, particularly discusses with theory behing artificial inteligence used in real-time strategy games. It deals with implementation of extensions for one such a game. It analyzes posibylities of use multi-agent systems architecture for purposess of artificial inteligence in games. It describes concept of swarm inteligence as suitable but not used tool for developing not only videogame artificial inteligence. Moreover it attempts to find suitable representation of sensation for software agents and shows the difficulties of this task.
Flight Simulator Based on Jason Multi-Agent System

The aim of this work is to create a 2D flight simulator using Jason multi-agent system and AgentSpeak language. In this simulator, the aircrafts will be represented by agents and their behavior will be described by plans implemented in AgentSpeak language. Agents will use these plans to demonstrate different types of behavior such as detection and collision avoidance, the taking of a position or persecution. The final application consists of two parts - the simulation module and the user interface. Simulation module is the core of simulator and it is created in the Jason system. The user interface provides the possibility to control simulations and creating user simulation models.
Strategic Game in Multi-Agent System Jason

Tato práce se zaobírá problematikou koncepce a vývoje multi-agentní tahové strategické hry. Práce analyzuje teorii těchto her a agentních systémů a výsledky této analýzy následně zohledňuje v návrhu samotné hry. Ta implementuje kromě herních konceptů a ovládání, obecně užívaných, dvě úrovně kooperace umělé inteligence, mírnou a komplexní spolupráci. Agent je v této hře hráčem, ovládajícím různé jednotky. Hra je koncipovaná tak, že je jí možné rozšířit o nové druhy inteligence, případně o nové herní jednotky. Závěrečná část práce se soustředí na srovnání jednotlivých úrovní kooperace, na efektivitu jednotlivých umělých inteligencí a také na zhodnocení efektivity implementace hry. S tímto účelem byla vykonána série automatizovaných testů.
Social Network Analysis and Simulations

This diploma thesis is focusing on description of processing social network analysis, design and implementation of a model that simulates a particular social network and its analysis. Social networks are modern and very used in this time. They are very good point for exploring. This project deal with static analysis social network, where social network is constructed by graph. We nd out di erent properties of single component and than we establish signi cance of them. Relationships between components are important too for us, because they have a big influence on propagation information in network. Structural properties figure out existence of di fferent communities. We simulate social network with multi-agent systems, they are desirable for represent changes in network. Multi-agent systems have implemented a simulation model that represents a particular social network. His behaviour was analyzed and examinated by chosen methods.
Multiagent system for traffic flow simulation and analysis

This diploma thesis deals with an oriented graph processing applying a multi-agent system designated for traffic simulation. The thesis was written as a research study. Based on the study, a simulation environment was created able to respond to various stimuli. Meant as the agents, there are vehicles and their drivers that have various features, based on which they respond to the given stimuli. Communication is conducted via a so-called super-agent that monitors all action on the map and passes this information on particular agents. The agents are able to respond in advance to traffic jams (closures, accidents). In such situations, an algorithm designated for a new route finding is conducted. Besides the controlled ones, there can operate on the map also agents simulating common traffic.
Meaning of cognitive processes for creating artificial intelligence

This work is aimed at creating a single view in the field of cognitive processes. Namely it is analysis of providing importance of cognitive processes for the entire field of artificial intelligence. The whole area of cognitive processes is described through the analysis of biological cognitive processes and their subsequent comparison with the processes of artificial intelligence and also the overall analysis of their limitations and their use. The work also contains a brief overview of the architecture of artificial intelligence and philosophical essay focused on the relationship of mind and body. In the end we present a project from IBM workshop, which is very important for their ability to work with natural language and understanding the content of questions asked.
Agent-based Simulation of Processes in Medicine

Process modelling has proven itself as a useful technique for capturing the work practice in companies. In this paper, we focus on its usage in the domain of medical care.We analyze the problem of the simulation of processes and present an approach based on agent-based simulations. We formally define an enhanced process language, the algorithm transforming these enhanced processes into the definition of agents’ behavior, and the architecture of the target multi-agent system simulating the modeled processes in some environment. The example of usage is given in the form of a critiquing expert system proposal that uses formalized medical guidelines as the knowledge base.

Medical Processes Agent-Based Critiquing System

Processes and process modelling have proven themselves as a useful technique for capturing the work practice in business. We focus on their usage in the domain of healthcare and define two main types of processes in medicine – medical guidelines and organizational processes. Based on these types we present the architecture of a multi-agent system that is able to work with them and describe application of this multi-agent system as a critiquing decision support system for healthcare specialists.
