Charakter proudění v náplňovém superkritickém extraktoru
Rochová, Kristina ; Sovová, Helena
This contribution provides a brief review on the effect of flow direction on SFE and reports our first experiments on axial dispersion measured in the course of extraction; this topic has not been sufficiently discussed in the literature yet. The flow pattern was examined by means of response to tracer injection and the results were expressed in the form of dimensionless variance S2 T,0. Tetracosane deposited on glass beads was extracted and presence of natural convection was observed when the flow was switched from downflow to upflow mode.

Analýza možností sanace vybrané staré ekologické zátěže
Balušková, Zuzana
This Master's thesis is devoted to the issue of old ecological burdens. Literal review summarizes general information about old ecological burdens, selection process of remediation, remeditaion technologies, in both saturated and unsaturated zones, further divided into biological, physical and chemical methods. Within the content cross-cutting legislation regarding to old ecological burdens is summarized. Second part of this thesis is dedicated to specific old ecological burden namely Laguny Ostramo in Ostrava. Selected burden was evaluated by the risk analysis and proposals for the completion of remediation were suggested.

Výzkum možností předcházení ukládání biologicky rozložitelných odpadů na skládky
Hlisnikovský, Lukáš
The purpose of this thesis is an elaboration of the methodology of composting accelerators exploitation with a vision to prevent a deposition of biologically waste on a landfill. The thesis consists of three main chapters. The description of the physical and chemical aspects of a composting process and the historical development of a composting technology is a content of the first chapter. Second chapter focuses on the up to date knowledge of compost accelerators. Third chapter describes and contain the methodology, results of experiments and discussion of advisability and suitability of the compost accelerators as a tool which could prevent a biological waste landfilling.

Chemistry - Geology relatives in the Science education
Kálalová, Anna ; Teplý, Pavel (referee) ; Čtrnáctová, Hana (advisor)
In my bachelor thesis I fixed myself on inter-subject relations between chemistry and geology in natural sciences in grammar schools. I looked up this theme in curricula for grammar schools and I made chemistry and geology school-books research. I selected several usual minerals and rocks with useful chemical composition and I wrote chemical and geological information about them. I found chemical experiments with this chemical substances, modified them and did them.

Oxidative stress as the possible outcome of opioid treatment
Böhmová, Barbora ; Novotný, Jiří (advisor) ; Žurmanová, Jitka (referee)
Free radicals and reactive oxygen species are continuously formed in all aerobic organisms. They may be implicated in ethiology of some diseases such as cancer, atherosclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, liver, renal, cardiovascular, and neurodegenerative diseases and premature aging. Free radicals and reactive oxygen species can also cause oxidative damage to important cellular components - proteins, lipids, and DNA. Cells are equipped with antioxidant systems to neutralize these radicals. The antioxidant system includes some vitamins (ascorbic acid, α-tocopherol, β-carotene) and enzymes, e.g., superoxide dismutase converting superoxide radical to hydrogen peroxide and molecular oxygen or catalase destroying H2O2. Another important H2O2-removing enzyme in human cells is glutathione peroxidase. Reduced activity of antioxidants leads to excessive production of free radicals resulting in oxidative stress. Opioids belong among pro-oxidants (chemicals inducting oxidative stress). Opioids can decrease activity of antioxidant enzymes and generate reactive oxygen species. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to gather information regarding the opioid ability to elicit oxidative stress. It briefly summarizes our current knowledge about opioids, oxidative stress, free radicals and antioxidants. Key words Opioids,...

Reliability analysis of substance measurements using biosensors - limit of detection robust method design
Láznička, Jan ; Brno, Karel Lacina, MU (referee) ; Grosmanová, Zuzana (advisor)
Detection limit of any method is affected by device (electronics, noise), evaluation, software (timing inaccuracy, rounding mistakes, errors determination of parameters using measured values by numerical methods) and by a chemical reaction (diluting errors, the reaction mixture design, chemical interferents, temperature, the accuracy of pipetting). In this work was proposed a metod for determination of detection limit for measuring of inhibitors of acetylcholine esterase by biosensor analysator of toxicity (BTA). The analysator was developed by BVT Technologies a.s. in 2004. To determine the exact detection limit a calibration of output signal was done. Presently the analysator is able to detect only presence of toxins, not their concentration. Not least are mentioned all founded errors of software, which are continuously eliminated.

Chemical Reactions and Light Energy
Sečková, Jana ; Liška, František (referee) ; Holada, Karel (advisor)
The thesis "Chemical reactions and light energy" deals with specific approach of teachers to students. Physical and chemical principles of chemical reactions and light energy are explained followed by suggestions of implementing these topics to lessons at basic schools, grammar schools and specialized chemistry high schools. In practical pedagogical part educational implementation of subject matter, image subject dictionary and school project of luminiscence are drawn. Practical chemical part includes 20 effective experiments for teachers, students and students with teacher. Demo experiments are organized in well-arranged file index with illustrations added. Selected experiments were tried out. There is suggestion of programme about luminiscence. Picture part includes photographs taken during laboratory works.

Možnosti podnikání v maloobchodě v Nedvědici
Vejrostová, Radka
This bachelor thesis portrays business opportunities in retail trade in assortment of foods, chemical goods, household items, gardening supplies and building materials in the town of Nedvědice. The theoretical part provides insight related to retail and retail networking, the classification and the location of retail units, and also about consumer goods and retail communication with customers. The thesis characterizes business in the defined range of goods and the retail business under the Trade Licensing Act. The analysis of the present state of selected retail stores in the town of Nedvědice is further described in the practical part of this thesis. Based on the results of the questionnaire survey, business plan for setting up a retail unit with an assortment of building materials is processed, and also measures for its implementation are suggested. The findings are summarized in the closing part of this bachelor thesis.

Carbon Dioxide in Science Education (Study Aids for Grammar School)
Kristlová, Lucie ; Šulcová, Renata (advisor) ; Urbanová, Klára (referee)
Charles University in Prague - Faculty of Science Department of Teaching and Didactics of Chemistry Albertov 3, 128 40 Praha 2, Czech Republic CARBON DIOXIDE IN SCIENCE EDUCATION (STUDY AIDS FOR GRAMMAR SCHOOL) Bc. Lucie Kristlová lucie.kristlova@gmail.com In this thesis the principles of Framework Educational Programme and method IBSE alias Inquiry Based Science Education were summarized. The results of international research PISA 2006 were evaluated. In 2006 the focus was on scientific literacy. In the theoretical part the study supporting documents on the theme Carbon Dioxide were worked up. The documents would serve teachers of Chemistry and Biology mainly at the grammar schools. Methodically processed materials were created such as presentation, worksheet and subject matter of chemical experiments with the inclusion of the author solutions. The worksheet was verified by pupils at grammar school.
