Analysis of foreign language interactions in the context of early immersion. Qualitative research of communication strategies based on videorecording.

This diploma thesis focuses on teaching German language to preschool children in Czech nursery schools. The theoretical section defines the conditions of early foreign language learning and opinions on it, and presents arguments for early German as a second language learning. Suitable methods for education of preschool children are discussed as well. The aim of this thesis is to determine and compare how early foreign language learning is realized in particular preschool institutions, based on the information from videos made within the project "Intercultural education of children, students and teachers". E.g. whether the children understand instructions given in foreign language and the teacher's speech, the extent to which the communication takes place in German within the group, which activities are most often used, the ways or forms of implementation of these activities and whether they meet the conditions of early foreign language learning. The diploma thesis summarizes the education methods of individual preschool institutions and identifies potential mistakes made, and it suggests more effective ways of teaching.

Architectural education and its role in teaching of art education in the second level of elementary schools

The goal of the work was effort to find reasons why to include the education in the field of architecture and environmental culture in teaching systems, mainly in the second level of elementary schools. I tried to apply these reasons into the topics of architecture training in the lessons of art education. The research among nearly 250 pupils of the 8.and 9.class of the elementary schools in big and small towns and last but not least also the discussion with the teachers of art education at elementary schools helped to the better understanding in this area. The role of architecture in fine arts, its purpose, the role of architecture in society and summary of the role of architecture at elementary schools, mainly in the lessons of art education, form parts of the overall consideration. The reason of involving architecture into teaching is the endeavour for strengthening of sensitivity towards architecture, urbanism, values of the environment. Architecture is a part of our cultural heritage and the art that touches our senses, forms our attitudes and esthetic perception of reality. Architecture is a part of everyday life and tells about the standard of society. Responsible approach towards creation of the environment and also education in this field only allow the quality that can be passed on to next generations. Currently, all developed countries have been aware of this fact and mainly in the EU countries the pressure on education of all inhabitants in the field of architecture and formation of the environment has been growing. One of the main targets is to involve the curriculum in education at elementary schools (secondary schools and also nursery schools). There should not be more curriculum, this should only be rearranged, current possibilities can be utilized and architecture topics can be included where they are now omitted and replaced by other ones. The fundament of education should be formed through familiarization and cognition of the place where we live - a village, town and environment from perspective of an inhabitant and especially of a user.

Multicultural Environment and Organizational Culture in Selected Company

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare influence of local cultural environment on corporate culture in Turkey and Czech Republic in REHAU AG. The research was held in branches of REHAU AG in Moravska Trebova, Czech Republic, and Osmaneli/Bilecik, Turkey. The research is based on VSM08 method by Geert Hofstede. The output should be summary of differences of corporate culture and recommendations about the possibility of offshore outsourcing to Turkey by Czech companies with consideration to differences in management.

The Role of Institutions in Long-term Preservation of Digital Content

The thesis focuses on the long-term preservation of digital content or digital information, in particular with respect to memory institutions. Emphasize is given on the "frailty" of digital information on the one hand, and on the importance of its preservation for the future as part of the cultural heritage on the other hand. One of the thesis's aims is to show the high technical and organizational complexity of the preservation of digital documents and new demands for operation of memory institutions that result from such complexity. The thesis proceeds from the preliminary general notes on the issue of digitization via the description of specific problems and methods of digital archiving and the overview of planning and certification tools of trustworthy digital repositories to the summary of legislative conditions for digitization in the Czech Republic and European Union. The follow-up case study deals with the project of establishing the National Digital Library within the National Library of the Czech Republic.

The Jewish Community of Vienna, from 1945 to the present

This thesis deal with the life of Jewish Community in Vienna after Second World War to the present days. This work describes most important aspects of daily and cultural Jewish life in Vienna these days. As an introduction to the topic is described the relevant political history of Austria for example Borodajkewycz affair or Causa Waldheim. Included is also the theme of overcoming the past in Austria and the theme of anti - Semitism in this country. In the first part of this work is given a historical overview of the development of the Jewish community in Vienna after the Second World War to present days. The second part of the work deal with the main Jewish institutions, organizations and associations in present Vienna. The theme of Jewish cultural life and leisure time activities are also included. A part of this thesis is also a brief summary about the possibilities of using this theme in education at Czechs schools.

Sustainability of digital heritage

Cílem práce je analýza a konceptualizace trvalé udržitelnosti digitálního dědictví. Tato nová forma kulturního dědictví je velmi zranitelná a čelí řadě problémů, jako jsou například zastarávání informačních technologií, komplexita digitálních formátů nebo trvalá integrita a autenticita digitálních dokumentů. Pro konceptualizaci těchto problémů a hledání jejich praktických řešení vznikl nový obor, digitální archivace (digital preservation), též dlouhodobá ochrana digitálních dokumentů. Tato rigorózní práce se zabývá jak analýzou všech rizik spjatých s trvalou udržitelností digitálního dědictví, tak oborem digitální archivace a jeho praktickými výstupy (ochranná opatření). Součástí práce je přehledné shrnutí základních východisek a cílů digitální archivace, uvedení speciální terminologie oboru do českého prostředí, jakožto i konceptualizace digitálního dokumentu a dalších klíčových entit. Analyzována je norma OAIS a koncept digitálního repozitáře. Nejrozsáhlejší část práce je věnována praktickým výstupům výzkumu oboru digitální archivace - ochranným opatřením vyvinutým pro zajištění trvalé udržitelnosti digitálního dědictví. Comparsion of Denmark, Norway and Sweden from the economic and cultural point of view and cooperation with the Czech Republic

The thesis provides a basic information about the economic, political and cultural situation in Scandinavia. Part of the thesis is the analasis of Denmark, Norway and Sweden including additional investment environment and cooperation with the Czech Republic. A special chapter is devoted to the comparsion of northern countries from the economic and cultural point of view which enables to compare all three countries and to point out both common and different cultural features. The thesis provides an information about specifics on the particular markets and highlights the cultural specialities during the delings in all three countries. Part of the thesis is devoted to a summary of a self-made questionnaire which was answered by Scandinavians.

"The cousine" of Sisi. Her Royal Highness, countess Elvira of Wrbna-Kounic, born princess of Bayern

Annotation ?The Cousine? of Sisi. Her Royal Highness, countess Elvira of Wrbna-Kounic, born princesse of Bayern is an attempt to set a biography of high Austrain-Czech aristocracy member and last but not least the full member of an European royal dynasty in ?long? nineteen century. Chosen biographic method surveys the counttess´life from her birth till her death thus in time limited by the yaears 1868 untill 1943. In the interspace then it proceeds the tribute to the life-style of and growing up princess of the autonomous royal dynasty of Bavarian Wittelsbachers, lastly married imperial countess of Wrbna-Kounic with the princely dignity in Bavarian cultural milieu and the relative of the Austrian-Hungarian emperor. Social history of noble tops in the second half of the nineteen and the first half of the twentieth century in the thesis has not continued being untouched particularly regarding to the princess´strategically maintained and built ties to one of the most influential women of Austrian-Hungarian and Bavarian court in the observed period 1880 till 1914 ? aunt Adelgunde, the duchess of Modena, Massa and Carrara. With an exceptional permitting of the permanent head of the house of Wittelsbacher, His Royal Highness prince Francis of Wittelsbacher, the sources from the Secret House archive of Wittelsbacher were utilized together with the fragmental korrespondence discovered at the State chatteau in Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou and integrated with relevant bibliography into the thesis divided into the following content structure. On the basis of the biographic method the introducting chapter, of which the goal was to provide the space for the review and the outline of the actual phase of some concerning historiography aspects, affronts not only the sources and bibliography. However the role of a historian´s work in relation to the creation of a biography contains the most important part. From that point it is passed fluently to he second chapter approachich the princess´ birth into the cultural surroundig of the Bavarian royal family characterized by the cultura nunaces of it´s dynastically equal-breeded milieu in order to be changed by the capter focused on the princess´dynastically unequal-breeded marriage. There Elvira, just as the countess of Wrbna-Kounic, was presented in the contrast with the courtly society of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. Thereat the lifestyle and everyday life of aristocracy before and after 1918 turned in. Tendencies to keep the accustomed life-style were the object of interest in the next chapter, which was defined by the departure from the main ancestral residence in Holešov to Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou, whereas after the father´s death and the ancestral male continuator, the reason of the eldest son´s unequal alinace can be reckonned. The summary of observation took place traditionally at the end of the thesis and the content of illustrations in enclosure with the citation of the sources and bibliography were followed.

Half a century existence of Kladno Miners'Choir

Kladno miners' choir is a mixed choir, which operates in Kladno since 1958. Budding singing group initially featured only occasionally, but with the advent of conductor Roman Makarius given new impetus to the expansion of the repertoire and the tenth season of performing a concert with a separate program. HPS Kladno repertoire is divided into blocks and presented concerts of traditional and occasional performances. The College cooperates with solo artists and symphony orchestra, presents annually abroad. Active musical work is rich and HPS Kladno belongs to the cultural life of the city whose name it bears in its name. The membership of the choir is made up almost a third of teachers. The questionnaire survey demonstrated reflection of the choir membership in their teaching practice. Use of the choral repertoire for singing, listening and educational activities. Educators also use suggestions from the style of management staff. A significant contribution to the development of the musicality of each member of the targeted work with voice, music skills and expanding awareness of the musical heritage of other nations.

The dissertation of the following title, "The Influence of Socio-cultural Traditions on the Institution of Marriage "analyzes the impact of culture, social norms and religious faith on the lives of families, on the bond of marriage, and cohabiting partners. It emerges primarily from the findings in cultural studies, sociology, anthropology, and psychology. At the center are new trends, the influence of, and continuously more intense interactions between people from various world regions. The dissertation focuses on the Czech Republic, also in the context of other states in the European Union. The author is very much interested in the phenomena of cultural and social traditions and their resistance or even fragility against outside, foreign impulses. The dissertation also analyzes the socio-psychological aspects and history of the institution of marriage and its development. This includes the religious perspective.
