Management of projects funded by the EU
Buliková, Kristína ; Chocholatý, Drahomír (advisor) ; Fortinová, Jana (referee)
The topic of the thesis focuses on the management of projects funded by the EU. In the first part I provide basic information about possibility of withdrawing funds from the EU. I describe operational programmes, funding opportunities and the process of withdrawing finances. I focus on the classification of different types of projects to be financed. The second part focuses on project management itself. I will analyze the project management methodology approved by European Commission for projects funded by the EU -- the logical framework approach. I will analyze whether the logical framework approach covers all phases of the project life cycle defined by the EU. I propose some methods that can be used in practice for different types of project with usage of well-known standard for project management -- PMBOK. The last part includes a case study -- analysis of project "Revitalization of village center in Drnava". Applying the logical framework methodology I will design a logical framework matrix for the village, which is one of the obligatory documents needed for the subsidiary applicants.

TITLE: Ancient trails in the area of the Otava River AUTHOR: Michal Pitín DEPARTMENT: History and History Didactics Department SUPERVISOR: prof. PhDr. Petr Charvát, DrSc. ABSTRACT: The diploma thesis focuses on one of the modern science called stibology which concentrates on the human past and human's relation to the landscape and its settlement and mainly passing trails through the landscape. The aim of this work is to study settlement and possible passing of the communications through the landscape in the area of the Otava River since the Celtic settlement, but mainly at the Early and the High Middle Ages. The work focuses on realisation of the stibologic knowledge in the area of the town Strakonice at the period of the Early Middle Ages. It also shows that the theme of the old trails is missed out of education and its possible usage in the subject called The Heritage Education in School Education Programmes. The work also includes analysis of the cartographic materials and their information about trails passing the landscape. The work is completed by the picture supplement from the area of the Otava River and cartographic materials. KEYWORDS: trail, way, settlement, area of the Otava River

The use of simulation and computational environments in physics education
Dekar, Martin ; Babka, Vlastimil (referee) ; Holub, Viliam (advisor)
In the presented work we study usage of interactive simulations (a modern approach to e-learning) in science education from the programmer's point of view. A concept of interactive simulation is presented in the beginning of the presented work, followed by guidelines for choosing suitable authoring environment for development of large number of such simulations. Next we introduce four existing development tools and we verify their practical usability by implementing suitable physics test problem - damped harmonic oscilator. This implementation is also described. In the end of the work we introduce a new kind of educational simulation allowing experimental data to be obtained from the simulation which gets simulation closer to real experiment. This approach shows a new course of e-learning. This simulation together with a library consisting of more than 100 reusable graphical objects is created in the Adobe Flash CS3 environment.
