Gender in media practice. Male and Female in advertisements
Říhová, Aneta ; Remr, Jiří (advisor) ; Horák, Vít (referee)
Bachelor thesis discusses the issue of men and women portrayal in advertisement; with the main focus set on contemporary television advertisement in Czech Republic. Topic is firstly described from the theoretical point of view, which sets the foundations for the research itself and introduces the reader to the current knowledge in this field. The following study is carried out on two different levels. Content analysis, which is used for breaking down of the essential parts of advertisement, clearly exposes the fact of gender stereotype remnants, even though the shift in certain equalizing aspects is noticeable; analysis is done upon a selected set of advertisements from regular broadcasts during the spring of 2011. Different angle towards the issue is approach using in-depth interviews with selected respondents. This method allows describing the overall understanding of women and men in advertisement by receivers of television advertisements; age of members of the set ranges from 25 to 45 years, women and men with different education were equally represented, providing for absolutely unique views from all individuals. The perception of said matter is strongly influenced by sex and interest in media issues of those respondents.

The role of IL-17 in kidney transplantation
Menšíková, Markéta ; Krulová, Magdaléna (referee) ; Stříž, Ilja (advisor)
The role of IL-17 in kidney transplantation - abstract Naive CD4+ T-lymphocytes (Thp) can develop into Th17 line in the presence of TGF- and IL-6. Th17 cells are characterized by expression of Ror- t and by production of interleukin-17 (IL-17). It is secreted as a glycoprotein homodimer. Binding to IL-17 receptor (IL-17R), which is present in all cell types, stimulates the production of proinflammatory cytokines and chemokines. The ratio of Th17: Treg in the graft showing signs of rejection is higher than in the graft without rejection. The presence of IL-17 in a culture of proximal tubular epithelial cells (PTEC) stimulates the production of IL-6, IL-8, MCP-1 and C3 complement component. Simultaneous action of IL-17 and CD40L synergistically increases the production of IL-6, IL-8 and RANTES. Signaling from the receptor on the surface of PTEC associated with its increased expression is effected via the src kinase and MAP kinase, and probably leads to the transcription factor NF- B. In rat models of transplantation, the IL-17 appears in allografts on the second day after surgery, the level rises until the fifth day, then decreases and disappears before the death of the animal. IL-17 is not detectable in isografts and negative controls. It appears before the IFN- , which had been considered a trigger of...

TOWNHOUSE ON THE WATERFRONT IN PŘEROV
Dvořáková, Kateřina ; Hoffmann, David (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Jan (advisor)
Our development area comprises the corner part of building block delimited by streets Brabansko – Malá Dlážka on parcels No. 4382, 4379, 4378, 4380. The place is divided by the river Bečva and by the waterfront road from the historic town centre. Multifunctional building includes public service and housing. The front entry is from the riverside street Brabansko, parking and supply place on the courtyard open to the street Malá Dlážka. First 3 floors serves as a commercial lease place, which can be free divided due to used space structure. 3th – 5th floor are destined for flats 2+kitchen and 3kitchen, 6th – 9th floor flats 4+kitchen. Urbanistic situation: fractionalism of sporadic building, breach of the street lines, absence of the regulative plan, specificity of waterfront. Space solution: Main feature: calm space with pedestrian, the river – impression – change of mood all day, water reflex, the south sun There are two differential points of view: over the river: sensation context of 2 adjoining building – linearity, pacific mass; close view – expression variety of surrounding allows more creative concept. The mass is connected to adjoining building and grows up. The form is inspired by ship, the corner symbolizes keel. The corner tower was cut in 2 directions, cuts are not so expressive over the river, it is apparent from side and close view. The cut features fallacy - disturbance of the vertical lines turns beholder´s head, it seems to be thinner than the prism. Open corner gives view angle from the rear street and there is a entry place with entry to the grand floor, to stairs to 1st and 2nd floor and through the passage way to car lifts and central stairs leading from basement garage through all the residential tower. There is used attractive views – terrace in 2nd floor for offices and large glass surfaces in flats. The facade raster against river matches scale of adjoining building, raster of cut surfaces is denser. It is the second fallacy – softer scale, so the surface seems to be deeper from the front view. Color solution result from water reflex, there are 3 materials of the diverse reflection intensity: glass, safety enamel dark grey glass and aluminum siding of blue metallic reflex. So there are various surface features all day. There is replaced dark glass surfaces by photovoltaic panels in the various solution. The construction combines concrete frame and wall system, both monolithic steel concrete, the basement is from rigid water-proof concrete construction, which results water and earth pressure. Yard facade is plaster and lightweight facade systems on front face – steel jambs clipped on steel concrete flooring plate. Parking for non-residential spaces is provided by vertical independent car lift for 2 cars and 2 standing for disabled, 36 places in sum. 14 parking standing is in the basement for residential, enterable from yard lift.

Media and media communication extremely affects our lives nowadays, affects our behavior, actions, attitudes, opinions and values. We should always recognize and learn about the right accession to media. The aim of this thesis is to define the basic types of media, with special emphasis on the so-called "new media" and to focus also on their functions, effects and influence. A substantial part of this thesis consists of essay on the Internet as the most advanced medium of our times and the analysis of media messages that affect us significantly in all areas of our lives. Contribution that this work should have, is specification of the meanings of media messages and determination, how much important is continuous education for media literacy and the role of media education as such. It is not just to show the negative influence of media, but in particular, if we will understand the media, it will be the great benefit to us, a source of information, knowledge and entertainment.

Analyses of remote sensing techniques for detecting quartz and calcite in rock
Šourková, Lucie ; Štefanová, Eva (advisor) ; Pavelka, Karel (referee)
Remote sensing technique in geology is relatively fast and low cost procedure for initial research method preceding a more detailed field campaign. Remote sensing offer an excellent method of mapping surface geology mainly in arid regions. The analysis of remote sensing methods for silicon and calcium detection is the aims this thesis. The method were tested on satellite sensors Aster and Landsat ETM+ in Sechura desert region in northwest of Peru. For solution to mineral detection was the Aster data the most suitable. The data was preprocessed. From the atmospheric correction method was chosen the Empirical Line Calibration. The best methods for good identification of silicate and calcite were: mineralogic combination 5/7-5/4- 3/1 ETM+ bands, color composite ratio bands Aster 13/10-13/14-12/13, Principal Component Analyses and classification Spectral Angle Mapper. On the strength of results was suggested metodical procedure including steps from preprocessing to classification. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

In the theoretical part are defined the main terms from the theory of motivation and described general motivation theories and theories of work motivation. There are also mentioned basic forms of organization structures used in project management and shortly described some areas of project management, the biggest part is focused on the advanteges and disadventages of teamwork and it's problems in praxis. In the practical part there are compared described theories from two points of view, the difficulties in their practical use, and the concrete possibilities of their application in different areas of project management. Based on this comparison three theories are chosen as most suitable for regulation of motivational management of employees working in the projects. At the end of this part, there is interview with a project manager.

Interaction of adsorbates with passivated Si surfaces studied by STM
Matvija, Peter ; Kocán, Pavel (advisor)
The scanning tunneling microscopy is used to study the morphology of Tl adlayer in various stages of Tl desorption from the Si(111) surface and to study behaviour of various adsorbates on the Si(111)/Tl-(1 × 1). The utilization of thallium layer for passivation of the Si(111) was examined closely for various adsorbates. Manganese, aluminium, indium and tin layers which were directly deposited onto the Si(111)-(7 × 7) were compared with the layers prepared by deposition of adsorbate onto the passivating layer after the subsequent thermal desorption of Tl (after annealing at ≈ 400◦ C). Examined adsorbates exhibited signs of extremely high diffusivity and weak bond with the surface Si(111)/Tl- (1 × 1). The passivating layer was stable against the adsorbates. The application of thallium in the role of surfactant caused lowering of temperature and coverage needed for the preparation of reconstructions which were observed on the surfaces prepared by the direct deposition of adsorbate. 1

In the course of the process of globalization changes more and more attention will be paid to the human capital since it significantly contributes to fulfilment of the strategical goals of the company and eventually to achievement of entrepreneurial success and competitiveness on the market. Thus, endeavour of the company should not be only to provide and maintain qualified manpower, but also to attempt to provide their satisfaction and motivation, which will undoubtedly lead to higher working efficiency. Management of the company should proceed this way, too. The objective of the Bachelor Thesis was to research and describe motivational system in the chosen company and its impact on the company management with intention to attain the synthesis of the generalized knowledge and individual proposals for practice in the conclusion. The first part of the Bachelor Thesis is theoretical and deals with interpretation of the terms concerning motivation in relation to the area of company management at the present and future (knowledge) society. Next part, which is practical, contains detailed characteristics of the chosen company and the research of its motivational system by means of the adequately worked out questionnaire. The research of the motivational system of the company was performed in the company CVP Galvanika s.r.o. in two groups of employees: ordinary workers and the management. The company specializes in the surface treatment of the metallic products and operates in the Czech market as an important supplier for the automotive industry. On the basis of analysis and evaluation of the results of the performed research improvement of motivational system in the areas of education and development, financial assessment, non-monetary awards in the form of praises and acknowledgement, working conditions, decision-making and knowledgeability of the employees. In this situation it depends only on the company whether it will take these proposals as its own and will start to implement them in its motivational system.
