Determination of the mechanical properties of materials used for 3D printing
Černý, Martin ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The thesis deals with the determination of mechanical properties of materials used for 3D printing (ABS, nylon and PLA). Standardized samples produced using a 3D printer using the Fused Deposition Modeling method were subsequently used for mechanical testing. The work is also extended to determine the mechanical properties of samples made by Soft Tooling. For the production of Soft Tooling samples, polyurethane resins SG 2000 and SG 145 were used. Individual materials were analyzed by mechanical tests (tensile test and hardness test). Surface integrity parameters have also been determined for 3D-printed materials. Parameters were selected from the individual tests (tensile strength, modulus of elasticity) ductility and hardness), which were subsequently statistically processed. The work is concluded by evaluating the results obtained, which were compared with the values given in material sheets.
Comparison of tensile properties of polymeric samples produced by extrusion based 3D printing
Krajcar, Ivo ; Vespalec, Arnošt (referee) ; Škaroupka, David (advisor)
The subject of this work is a summary of the contemporary knowledge about 3D printing and mechanical properties of a prototype manufactured this way. Main goal is to compare the frequently used FDM method with the innovative APF method of 3D printing from the Arburg company. ASA and CPE materials were chosen for researching this method. On these materials, tensile strength was measured. Aditionally, for comparison between the two methods, referential samples manufactured by injection moulding were made. A percentual difference in strength of each sample was compared against these. 60 samples in total were made for this comparison. After evaluation of the results, it was found that in the tensile strength the samples made by the APF method are approximately 30 % less strong than the referential sample. The samples made by the FDM method are approximately of the same strength as the referential sample.
Possibilities of the description of stress-strain curves for computational simulations
Influence of the MuCell technology parameters on the mechanical properties of polymers for injection moulding
Suchánek, Matěj ; Věchet, Stanislav (referee) ; Válka, Libor (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with influence of gas content in structure of polymer materials to mechanical properties. Test specimens were prepared by MuCell technology from polyphthalamide reinforced by 50 % of glass fiber content. The theorethical part of this thesis is focused on polymer materials with attention to polyamides and injection moulding technology. In the experimental part, the dependence between the characteristics obtained from the tensile test and the Charpy impact test on the amount of gas in the polymer is examined.
Mechanical properties of polymers produced by 3D printing technology
Král, Filip ; Moravčík, Igor (referee) ; Válka, Libor (advisor)
The thesis deals with the dependence of mechanical characteristics on the anisotropy of polymers Nylon 12 and Ultem 9085 made by a 3D printing technology Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM). The evaluation of the material characteristics was performed on the basis of tensile and non-instrumental impact tests. It was proven that the material characteristics are strongly dependent on anisotropy, i.e. on layer thickness and raster angle for both types of polymers.
Antikorozní ochrana svarů u konstrukčních materiálů
Černý, Oldřich
This master´s thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The first section of the theoretical part lists welding techniques and mentions the problematic of robot welding. The second section deals with corrosion and types of corrosion degradation. Third and final section discusses the current trends in anticorrosive protection, with special focus on several of them. The practical part applies the theory in from of experiment. Selected anticorrosive protection systems were applied to test samples, which contained a weld. The samples were exposed to accelerated corrosion in salt fog and several other experiments. The samples were then subjected to a tensile test so that the effect of corrosion damage to the weld strength could be measured.
Development of process parameters for the stereolithography
Vítek, Jan ; Škaroupka, David (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the search for optimal process parameters to reach a high strength of the Detax Solflex model material, with the DLP (digital light processing) 3D Solflex 650 printer. In the first part of this thesis the principle of printing using a laser and using a DLP projector and their comparison are presented. Further information about materials and impact of the process parameters on a printing are discussed. Based on a knowledge two assumptions were set: influence of exposure time and influence of layer thickness on strength. Firstly, samples were tested by the hardness Shore D test and the results from the test were compared. New samples for the stress test with the optimal set of parameters given by the previous test were printed and tested. Process parameters influence on strength was determined from the achieved results.
Laboratorní korozní zkoušky kovových materiálů
Gajdošík, Miroslav
Subject of my bachelor's thesis is "Laboratory corrosion tests of metallic materials" examines the impact of aggressive environment and heat processing on the change of losing the weight and mechanical properties structural steel of claas 12 050. The theoretical part simply describes forms, kinds of corrosion and possibly ways how to protect machines against the corrosion. Next point in the theoretical part is corrosion tests. In the practical part is described in detail effect of corrosion degradation to change of weight loss and mechanical properties of structural steel of claas 12 050. The first part of experiment compares results of weight loss after the corrosion degradation of heat-affected and untouched samples also. In the second part exposed samples were subjected to a tensile test followed by conducting the comparison of the measured values. Practical measurement is continuously supplemented by images gradual degradation of corrosion test samples.
