Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis
BÁRTOVÁ, Adéla
The thema of this bachelor thesis is "Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis". The severity of multiple sclerosis incrementaly increases as the incidency of this disease - globaly and in the Czech Republic as well - rapidly grows year by year. Multiple sclerosis -as an autoaggressive chronic disease - is still incurable, however, plenty of changes in the diagnosis and the therapy have emerged during last years. This illness afflicts mostly persons during the productive period of their lifes. The patient is often without clinical symptoms during the first few years, which, until recently, misled to an idea that there is no urgent need to apply a long-term medical treatment. Today it is evident that only early executed diagnosis and early started therapy afterwards can prevent from the permanent neurologic impairment of the patient. Besides the pharmacological treatment, there is also physiotherapy which helps patients to live an active and valuable life. The point of this paper is to illustrate a complex view of this problem. The first, theoretical part deals with multiple sclerosis as a whole, with the goal to summarize the latest knowledge and findings about this disease. It describes the potential causes of the origin of the disease, its occurrence, particular symptoms, development of the disease, different types of the disease and the possible diagnosis together with the differential diagnosis. The ending of the theoretical part informs about the therapy comprising the pharmacological treatment and the complications it may bear, and the rehabilitation treatment summarizing therapy of all symptoms, which can appear. Nowadays, it is possible to find different approaches in the rehabilitation of multiple sclerosis. But according to many physiotherapy studies those methodologies, which are based on the neurophysiological fundamentals, were already very positively aplied on the patients. It is an objective of the practical part of my thesis to introduce one of these methodologies. The impact of an aplication of the individual physiotherapy, which utilizes the neurophysiological findings, can be evaluated by comparing the results from the entering and exit. This work is conceived as a case study in the form of casuistry. Qualitative research based on the data collection was chosen to verify the efficiency of the aplied physiotherapy. Data was obtained by interviews, observation, analyses of medical records and kinesiology testing. An entering and exit examination, comprised from the set of tests, were performed after the six months therapy to assess changes in the clinical conditions of the patient. These tests allows the therapist to comprehensively evaluate the effect of the rehabilitation on the patients with the central disabilities, particularly on the patients with multiple sclerosis. Tests were selected regarding the clinical signs of the disease. There were examinations done to test the balance, dysmetria, dysdiadochokinesia, scales of postural reactions, walking, muscle strength and spasticity. The test of grabbing ability was done to examinate the light motor skills and goniometry was aplied to determine the joint's range of mobility. The results of the research proven, that the individual physiotherapy employing findings in neurophysiology together with aerobic therapy and other techniques appropriately selected with the respect to the actual complications of the patient has a positive effect on the overall condition of the patient. This bachelor thesis can serve as a theoretical basis for the teaching needs or as an informational source for all, who are interested in the multiple sclerosis disease issue. It can also be an inspiration for physiotherapists on how to proceed in the rehabilitation of patients with multiple sclerosis.

Development of Land Cover Structure and Proposal for Using Indicators of Landscape Structure for Landscape Planning in the Cadaster of Olešnice near Trhové Sviny (S.Bohemia, Czech Republic)
LECHNER, Jan
Aims: (1.) to evaluate the historical development of a selected area, using certain indicators computed by Patch Analyst and Fragstas, (2.) to critically evaluate the possibility of using these indicators for landscape planning, (3.) to define the main factors driving the historical changes of landscape structure and to characterize changes in landscape function, and (4.) to propose an improvement of the current state of the area. Map layers including current and past landscape structures were produced using ArcGIS 9.2. Proposed have also been extreme variants of land use, its variants with an increased occurrence of shrubs, and layers showing crops cultivated in the area in the years 2003 - 2009. Some metrics were computed simultaneously by Patch Analyst and Fragstats and the outputs of both programs were compared. The data obtained were treated using STATISTICA 8.

Statistical investigation of CT pulmonary angiography in terms of development and depending on age and sex in District Kroměříž 2006-2010
OPLUŠTIL, Vladimír
CT pulmonary angiography is, together with ventilation-perfusion scintigraphy, the main diagnostic methods for recognition as pulmonary embolism. This is a very dangerous disease, which may end up even in death. Its share of deaths in hospitals, including subsequent ? complications, is around 4%. Therefore, emphasis is placed on early diagnosis. Clinical and laboratory symptoms are unspecific (including D Dimer).(10) Pulmonary embolism after ischaemic heart disease and arterial hypertension the frequency of its occurrence, the third most serious cardiovascular diseases. Cause of death in pulmonary embolism is usually the exhaustion of the right heart, seeking to overcome suddenly increased the resistance of the pulmonary circulation. This is the pulmonary artery or its branches is embolism blood clot-trombus, resulting in the venous system or in the heart, a saddle embolus, patched up a significant part of the lung. The most common place of trombs, which embolizated to the lungs, are deep veins of lower limbs if they are affected by the flebotrombolitis.(16) In addition to the acute embolism are frequent and chronic embolism. They are equally dangerous. By gradually and subtly clog small blood vessels, reduces the total cross-sectional area of open pulmonary artery, which have blood flow, and since the volume of blood must be maintained even in the smaller section of the vascular bed, should permanently increase the blood pressure in a small circulation, which is also dangerous.(16) In my work is the methods of mathematical statistics processed file 1966 CT pulmonary angiogramy (CTPA), carried out on the CT work in Kroměříž in the years 2006-2010. The work is focused on the statistical survey of the influence of age, sex, and the time evolution of the CTPA during that period.

Modern Czech-Italian and Italian-Czech dictionaries
PFLEGEROVÁ, Lucie
Presented work is to introduce a comprehensive set of available Italian-Czech and Czech-Italian dictionaries, describes their chronological development and also the most important authors in this field. In addition to introductory chapters containing a treatise on lexicology and lexicography as a theoretical basis for the practical production of dictionaries, is to the work also included a treatise on Italian textbooks and manuals, of which issuing essentially follows the development and formation of Italian studies in the Czech lands. The very core of the work is the chapter about printed and electronic dictionaries published during years 1890 - 2012. Upon approaching a sample of 57 publications, created on the basis of catalogs of libraries of the Czech Republic, the attention was focused on particular dictionaries, which, because of their character, can be substitute also for the others. In these handbooks the major emphasis was put on themicro- and macrostructure, which due to stood out their potential weaknesses or vice versa positive aspects. By comparing obtained informations could be evaluated the overall concept of the Czech-Italian lexicography and users' ability to study Italian language.

Image analysis of fluorescently labeled nuclear structures: DNA replication in focus
Mašata, Martin ; Raška, Ivan (advisor) ; Kostrouch, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kozubek, Michal (referee)
In this thesis, we expanded the knowledge about some aspects of DNA replication in human cell nucleus with the help of microscopic techniques and advanced mathematical approaches. DNA replication was studied from several perspectives: Fluorescence detection of newborn DNA on the stretched DNA fibers, ultrastructural mappings of individual replication domains, fluorescence analysis of replication foci re-distribution in early S-phase and cold-dependent immunodetection of replication-coupled chromatin modulation. We started with measurements of average speed of a replication fork movement during S- phase. In agreement with previous studies on DNA spreads with radioactive labeling, the replication speed was two to three times slower in early S-phase than in late S-phase. Moreover, the exogenous dNTP supply accelerated the replication in the early S-phase while additional dNTPs had no effect on the speed of replication forks in late S-phase. Therefore the availability of dNTPs seems to be a rate-limiting factor for replication speed at the beginning of DNA synthesis. We then focused on in situ replication pattern at the EM level. Using an improved method for detection, replication domains, identified by clusters of many silver particles, were observed throughout the S-phase. While replication foci in early...

Because drought and its impacts are among the worst hydrometeorological extremes (including also Central European conditions), the aim of this paper is to describe the core and use of the Integrated drought monitoring system for the Czech Republic. Land-use, information about soil, vegetation characteristics and meteorological data are used as inputs to validated water balance SoilClim model, which is applied for estimates of actual and reference evapotranspiration and water saturation of the soil profile in % or soil moisture content in mm. Moreover the prognosis of expected soil moisture (based on probabilistic analysis) is calculated for next 1, 2, 4 and 8 weeks. Main results are weekly updated in form of drought occurrence maps, which are published in spatial resolution 500 m for whole territory of the Czech Republic and for all its 76 districts separately. Final maps with detail comments are available at drought topic dedicated web page (ANONYM 3 2014).
