The Problems of People of Small Stature, Affected by Achondroplasia and Pseudo Achondroplasia in Normal Life Situations

The work deals with the problems of people of small stature, affected by achondroplasia and pseudoachondroplasia, current life situations. The theoretical part is characterized by achondroplasia, pseudoachnodroplasia, health problems of people of small stature, their education, employment, the barriers, difficulties and limitations in their lives. Furthermore describes the socio-legal sphere in the Czech Republic and the civic association Palecek. The practical part contains the research. Objective research is focused on the problems of people of small stature in everyday life. People of small stature are confronted with various problems on the street, at school, at work, in finding a partner, in shops etc.. Various obstacles, restrictions or problems must be tailored, to address or overcome.

Slovakia: macroeconomic development in the context of accession to the euroarea

The aim of the work is to evaluate the process of nominal and real convergence in Slovakia. Furthermore, the introduction is addressed the macroeconomic development since the beginning of the separate state and evaluates it in the context of the accession to the euroarea. After posttransformating stabilization Slovakia was unable to start the successful economic development. Thanks to the adoption of restrictive measures and several reform steps since 1998 Slovakia managed to achieve a gradual healthy economic growth and improvement of macroeconomic indicators, which culminated in 2008. However in the end of the year hit Slovakia the first sign of cooling due to global economic crisis and because of this fact the work offers a short view of the fortcomming uncertain future. Nominal convergence represents within the European union the Maastricht criteria, Slovakia fullfilled them in March 2008 with caution. The real convergence is evaluated in the light of the indicator of GDP per capita in purchasing power parity, which development has seen in recent years a remarkable increase in Slovakia. Adoption of the common european currency does not mean to meat the formal Maastricht criteria but also requires the adoption of the various substantive aspects, such as Slovakia National Plan for euro.

The issue of microfinance in developing countries

My work will be focus on analyzing the development of microfinance. Firstly, I will describe the main features of the developing countries. In the next chapter I will near what microfinance is, how does it works, who serves. The main part of the work will be focus on the description of the development and shift in paradigm of microfinance and approaches to microfinance. Then I will describe the initial development of some major microfinance institutions. Furthermore, I will address the demand and the supply of microfinance. At the end of the work Iwill mention the impact of the crisis on microfinance.

Central Bank of Armenia

The thesis of the Armenian Central Bank deals with a summary of how the central banks operate in general and especially focuses on system functioning in Armenian Central Bank. The thesis starts with a theoretical interpretation of the characteristics of central banking functions and central banks. A substantial part of my work is about Armenian Central Bank. It focuses on the history of the Armenian Central Bank since the beginning of the 1920s to the present. There is monitoring of the development of the bank within one century, when the economy changed from centrally planned to market oriented and thus changed the central banking system and functions of the Armenian banking system. Following the history of the Armenian financial system, in this thesis I go into depth of the system of the Central Bank of Armenia with its all positives and negatives. Furthermore I engage in monetary policy, which is concentrated mainly on cooperation between the central bank and commercial banks, and the activities between these institutions. Last but not least part is about coordination of monetary and fiscal policies. As far as foreign relations in the banking areas are concerned, in the next chapters I explain the foreign exchange policy conducted by central banks, and management of international reserves. In conclusion, the main part of my work deals with the national currency of Armenia and its historical evolution to the current period. The conclusuion of my work summarizes all the knowledge that I gained in the course of my study, from literary resources and personal experience. I refer to all these aspects in this thesis of mine. In this part the thesis stresses the importance of central banks in the national and multinational area and its integration into the international trust. It depicts the achivements and areas that need to be improved over the period of the Armenian Central Bank existence.

This diploma thesis deals with the design and implementation of a highly efficient universal index of textual documents. Universal stands for an opportunity to configure structures of index records and methods of the index data processing (without recompiling an application). Furthermore, it means that the index library can be used even for other purposes, for example to implement a thesaurus, to represent bibliographic relationships or even for generic representation of a specific class of functions in other areas than documentographic systems. The index is implemented using the dynamic inverted file which can be efficiently updated without need of the data structure rebuilding. Specific issue is on-line index compression and failure recovery via the transactional log. It is shown that the amortized complexity of the data structure is linear. This fact is afterwards experimentally verified. Other experiments address the compression methods and the impact of the data structure parameters on its efficiency. The diploma thesis contains the implementation of the universal index in C/C++. It has been tested in the Linux and Windows XP environments.

We may say that corruption replaced repression as the main threat to the rule of law. This work attempts to articulate the role of corruption in relation to system legitimacy, assuming Czech Republic and the CEE countries as a model. This work approaches corruption as a narrative, which is being mobilized by the public as a critique of the way the system works. Conventionally, corruption is thought of as a pathology, which damages democracy, quality of governance and economic growth. It will be argued that it also makes sense to think about corruption the other way around - as an interpretive structure which allows introducing sense into the complex organization of society and particularly its negative outcomes. Corruption is a narrative, which allows the public to relate to problems stemming from the workings of the system. This work identifies several dimensions of the problem. Usability of municipalities association for the construction investment

This thesis aims to analyze and then update publicly accessible register of clusters of municipalities in South - Moravian region. Work is based on specific research for the Science Center of Faculty of Civil Engineering AdMaS. Name of the research is "Leveraging the register of clusters of municipalities for the needs of marketing research and development at FAST." Within this research were added to the register certain information, such as E-mail address, website, revenues for the last three years, etc. and the entire register was processed in the form of a relational database. From this relational databases were created outputs in the form of tables and charts to scholarly articles. Furthermore, this work updated maps of technical equipment with municipal water conduit and sewerage. To these maps are drawn in municipal unions with corresponding activities. Thereafter are designed some expansion options and are used clusters of municipalities for investment purposes.

Profitability analysis of vehicles powered by CNG

The purpose of this thesis was first to make a survey of compressed natural gas and its characteristic properties, matters relating to safety, environmental impact, and other issues associated with the use of this fuel. Furthermore, this work also addresses economic analysis of vehicle performance of operating vehicles on compressed natural gas of selected company. A new car fleet was created from the data provided from the selected company. The operational efficiency of compressed natural gas was detected and compared to results with conventional liquid fuels such as automotive gasoline and diesel fuel. Furthermore, the calculation of operating costs was made and the calculated return of investment associated with the use of compressed natural gas to power motor vehicles.

Diabetes mellitus negatively affects male reproductive parameters in vivo

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 15% of couples in reproductive age suffer from infertility problems, and up to 60% of cases are caused by male factor. This could be caused by genetic background, environmental factors and various diseases, including diabetes mellitus (DM). However, the impact of DM on male fertility is not fully understood. . The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of DM on reproductive parameters and sperm quality, using mouse model. DM (type 1) was induced by Streptozotocin in FVB inbred mouse strain. Mice with blood sugar levels higher than 13.9 mmol/L were considered diabetic. After 4 weeks of diabetes exposure, diabetic males were bred with wild type females and transgenerational effect of DM was assessed. Selected morphological, cellular, and molecular parameters of diabetic males and their male offspring were compared to appropriate controls. There was an increased in sperm fragmentation and abnormalities of sperm morphology in diabetic mice in both generations. An increased staining with apoptotic marker annexin V was also detected in the diabetic groups. Furthermore, a presence of protamines as major sperm nuclear proteins was analysed. Protamine 1 to protamine 2 ratio (P1/P2), a marker of male fertility, was altered in sperms of experimental diabetic animals in both generations. Our findings indicate that DM type 1 negatively affects sperm quality and P1/P2 ratio and this negative effect is transmitted to the progeny

Analysis of the position of persons with disability in the labor market in the years 2000 - 2014

This thesis deals with a position of persons with disability (PWD) in the labor market from the perspective of these individuals. Based on the data obtained by questionnaire survey was conducted SWOT analysis which shows that PWD do not perceive negatively their own position on labor market. However, there is always something to improve, whether by themselves or in the surroundings in which they move. Furthermore, this thesis analyzes the impact of legislative measures to promote the employment of people with disabilities in 2000 - 2014. Based on the data obtained by the Czech Statistical Office was conducted regression analysis of three models. Estimates of econometric models support the hypothesis that higher unemployment in the case of persons without a disability employment is declining persons with disabilities. Further, it failed to confirm the hypothesis that the impact of legislative changes to promote employment for persons with disabilities has a positive effect on the employment of these persons. The last hypothesis that says that these legislative changes have no impact on the unemployment rate of persons without a disability was confirmed.
