Regional Differentiation of Foreign Direct Investment in the Czech Republic

The subject of this thesis is to review foreign direct investment (FDI) in context of its regional differentiation in the Czech republic in a few last years. The task of exact definition of FDI and its classification are presented in the first part. I contextualize theoretic background of FDI, from economic, but especially geographical specialization with influence on regional development. Moreover, this thesis deals with history of FDI not only in the Czech republic, but also in other transition countries and also in worldwide. The emphasis have been placed on industry. My intention is to focus on its positive and negative features, which FDI brings to host economy. The output of this thesis is analysis of regional differentiation of FDI's distribution in the Czech republic and in the study case of Pardubice region, according to factors, which have effect on its allocation. Globalization and growing economic integration within different geographic areas are the main factors having impact on increasing number of companies involved in international business. However, due to recent economic turbulences on the international markets during the last years, this trend is associated with higher level of risk. To ensure the stability on the international market, the knowledge of the risks is an obligation. This thesis consists of two parts. The first part is theoretical and focuses first on the principle risks associated with the international business operations. Afterwards it presents the scope of the risk management and explains the main techniques of the risk assessment. The second part is practical and its goal is to illustrate the application of the techniques explained in the theoretical part on the environment of Zodiac Aerospace group.

The Development of Mozambique After the Declaration of Independence

Bachelor thesis "The Development of Mozambique After the Declaration of Independence" studies events and links, that have happened in this country since the declaration of the independent state in 1975 up to the present and possible future evolution of the state. The fundamental topic is the civil war between the ruling and former marxist-leninist party FRELIMO and opposition rebel movement RENAMO, lasting 17 years and determining the development of Mozambique for the coming decades. The thesis covers not only the course of the internal conflict, but also its roots, its reflection on the international scene and also the role of international community, especially the one of the UN and the ONUMOZ peacekeeping mission in the process of democratisation and the transition to the multiparty system. In the last chapters, the thesis deals with the own consequences of the war on many levels and predicts a possible future evolution of the country. This text covers many topics and is dedicted to both the international relations experts and the public interested in the course of events in the region of southern Africa.

Aim of thesis: The Aim of thesis was to determine the consuption of the drugs in the Czech republic in the years 2004-2008 using available databases and questionnaires to avaluate how medicines are currently prescribed and used by patients. Method: 150 patiens were selected on random (98 women and 52 men, age 23 and over), who came to the pharmacy with prescription. Patients completed an anonymous questionnaire concerning personal data, prescription drugs, OTC drugs, regulatory fees and supplements. Results: The most of drugs are used in group C - cardiovascular system (43%), A - alimentary system and metabolism ( 11%), N - nervous system(11%) and M - musculosceletal system (10%). Influence of Transnational Corporations on the Economies of Latin American Countries

Initially, the work describes the political and economical situation in the Latin American region with emphasis on the recent economic development of the region and the socioeconomic phenomena common for most local economies. The second part focuses on the general effects that transnational corporations' activities have on host economies. These effects are then demonstrated on concrete examples of Latin American countries. The third chapter has the form of a case study that deals with the role of transnational corporations during the economic development of Argentina with a stress on its last financial crisis (1999-2002).

This thesis deals with the corporate philanthropy (giving). The first chapter acquiants with definition of this phenomen that is in the following chapters demarcated to imagine the specialty of corporate fhilanthropy. Mention about fact that there is what to take up again (in corporate philanthropy after 1989) follows. Next essential item of the thesis acquiants us with the basic obstacles that refuse development of corporate philanthropy. An important, following part of the thesis acquiants with the results and conclusions of the researches in the corporate philanthropy published during the last five years. These results are confronted with results issued from my own research of the corporate donors in the Ústí nad Labem district. At the end of this thesis you will find the conclusions based on the confrontation of the theory of corporate philanthropy (concerning conclusions of researches published within last 5 years) with the good practice of corporate philanthropy in Ústí nad Labem district.

Unemployment in the Jihlava Region

Cílem práce bylo zmapovat příčiny nižší průměrné nezaměstnanosti v regionu Jihlava vzhledem к celorepublikovému průměru. Předpokládala jsem, že nízkou nezaměstnanost způsobuje velký zahraniční zaměstnavatel, firma Bosch Diesel. Tento předpoklad se z větší části naplnil. Je ale nutné upozornit, že ačkoliv tento podnik zaměstnává téměř pětinu ekonomicky aktivního obyvatelstva, nízkou nezaměstnanost na Jihlavsku způsobují i jiné faktory. Především to, že Jihlavsko patřilo na počátku devadesátých let к strukturálně nepostiženým regionům s dlouholetou strojírenskou tradicí. Díky existenci těchto strojírenských podniků a umožnění vstupu zahraničního kapitálu již na počátku 90.let byl nastartován příznivý vývoj zaměstnanosti. Tato výhoda se projevila zejména v období ekonomické krize v roce 1997, jejíž dopad na zdejší region byl minimální, právě díky již zmíněnému zaměstnavateli a dalším strojírenským firmám. Tato práce se zabývá charakteristikou makroregionů cestovního ruchu tak, jak je vymezila Světová organizace cestovního ruchu. Bližší pozornost je věnována asijsko-pacifikcké oblasti, která v posledních 50 letech zažívá nebývalou návštěvnickou expanzi. Kromě popisu základních charakteristik regionu jsou v této práci rozebrány příčiny nebývalého nárůstu zájmu o Asii a Pacifik, vystiženy ekonomické přínosy tohoto jevu a zmíněny i očekávané trendy vývoje.

The concept is based on the low price offer of the spare parts. The object is to create an optimal marketing B2B communication for the Motrio brand in the R3 site (independent services) in the region of Middle Europe (Czech republic, Slovakia and Hungary).
