Predatory journals in Scopus
Macháček, Vít ; Srholec, Martin
The study maps the penetration of so-called “predatory” scholarly journals into the citation database Scopus. Predatory journals exploit the author pays open access model, and conduct only cursory or no peer review, despite claims to the contrary. Some such journals will publish almost anything for money. In the Czech context whether a journal is indexed in Scopus is crucial for determining the points that publications in that journal are awarded in the national performance-based evaluation of research organizations, which in turn is the basis for the allocation of institutional funding. Hence, in this evaluation framework, publishing in predatory journals that are indexed in Scopus has a clear “fiscal” advantage.

Maděrová, Petra ; Francírek, František (advisor) ; Václavková, Jarmila (referee)
The diploma paper was focused on analysis of the tools -- it means documentation of transfer pricing and advance pricing arrangement leading to the higher tax bond of tax subject, for example: in the case of tax control. The main benefit of this diploma paper consists of analysis of primary data. These data were obtained from the questionnaire as well as from the interviews oriented mainly on tax control which I had led with 2 multinational companies. The questionnaire, which I had done by myself, was sent to 46 multinational companies which their business platforms are located also in the Czech Rep. The most valuable written sources from which some data for my diploma paper were taken is the real documentation of transfer pricing done for the request of advance pricing arrangement as well as the decision of tax administrator in the same case according to the § 38nc Law N. 586/1992 Sb., about income tax. Just the character of the data guarantees the practical application of this diploma paper. I hope according to my diploma paper to be successful in notice of absence in the basic instruments of transfer pricing from point of the multinational companies view which could lead to the adjustment by competent authorities. This adjustment could consequently improve the cooperation between tax subjects and tax authorities.

Papšík, Lukáš ; Růčka, Lukáš (referee) ; Molnár, Karol (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to practically use theoretical knowledge of the semestral work. The scope of work was to analyze long term operation of an emphasis on obtaining the necessary parameters for selected models. Network analyzer was used for two programs that have received the required parameters. How do I edit the captured data that can be used in programs described in the work. In this work I focus on two models, the Stochastic model and Markov-modulated Poisson’s. Each of these models requires different parameters. These were obtained from the captured traffic. Furthermore, the modeled traffic compared with the real. It was found that none of the models is not sufficiently capable of accurately modeling the behavior of the network, if it comes to cluster of packets. However, if traffic shown linear character models were able to model this traffic.
