This thesis covers the issues of design, production, and property testing in regards to waterlight concrete structures. The testing conducted on the properties fit in accordance to the Czech Republic and international regulations. The experimental part focused on the design of the concrete mix, which stems from previous knowledge of individual, and speific regulations. Various types of cement were particularly examined along with studying the effects of admixtures that were partially replaced by cement with propoerties of watertight concrete

Chronic disorders that occur at elementary schools

Reces on chronic disorders that occur at elementary schools. It mainly talks about formulation, structure, procedure, analysis of effects, and preventiv of the chronic disorders. Detailed focus is on identifying school children suffering from some chronic diseases such as asthma, diabetes, eczema, or flu. Reports and cooperation on an "Asthma, eczema, diabetes, flu" project were used to detect the suffering children. Both, healthy and sick children cooperate to achieve set goals within the project. Lastly, the matter of this thesis also includes prevention - recommendation to parents, whose children suffer from the diseases mentioned above. Theoretical observations having reference to chronic diseases, structure of reports, methods of evaluating the effects, preparation of the project and recommendation to parents whose children suffer from chronic disease are applied to completed report examination, project implementation, and discussion with parents.

Quota Sampling Design of “Region” and “Settlement Size” Variables

The paper addresses the problem of quota sampling design and specifically that of “region” and “settlement size” variables. For practical purposes the Public Opinion Research Centre (CVVM) needs to improve its quota sampling process and reconstruct its interviewer network, and this has led to the development of a new structure for both.

Evaluation of accuracy of steel plate girder initial imperfections measurement carried out by means of fringe projection method

The method of fringe projection and its application to investigation of steel plate girders subjected to repeated loading is described in this contribution. The well known fact of decisive role of production-based girders imperfections on the girders period of service emphasizes the need of a reliable measurement method of the imperfections. The optical method described in this paper is based on determination of out-of-plane deviations by means of analysis of geometrical relations in the image of projected fringe pattern on the girder surface. The advantage of the method is its simplicity, scalable sensitivity and absence of any constrains regarding the size of the studied object. The results obtained using the method are compared to that attained by the existing method and their accuracy and time consumption is considered. Finally, applicability of the proposed method in other fields is discussed.

Russian and Czech phraseological units containing words with the theme of space and celestial bodies

This thesis entitled "Czech and Russian phrasemes containing components of the universe and celestial bodies" has for its object to gather and explore as large as possible number of phraseologisms containing the components on the theme of space and celestial bodies. It consists of several parts. In the theoretical part we engaged in phraseology as science, in some attitudes to it, in definition of phrasemes and different classifications that were created by Czech and Russian philologists. In the second part we analyzed the grammatical structure of Czech and Russian phrasemes and classified them according to their structures. In the third one we dealt with stylistic characteristics of Czech and Russian phrasemes, divided them according to stylistic characteristics of the whole phrasemes having regard for stylistic characteristics of particular component. The last part of our work is dedicated to the comparison of Czech and Russian equal phrasemes that we divided on the basis of relationship of these equivalents and their components. We explained particular phrasemes and their origin. In case the origin was not evident we had tried to explain it too. Most of those Russian phrasemes we explored has its equivalent in Czech vice versa. However, some of them have to be translated periphrasticly. 80

The Short Stories of Božena Benešová

Základní údaje: Markéta Čeřovská Povídky Boženy Benešové, Příbram, 71 stran Obsah: Centrem naší práce je povídková tvorba Boženy Benešové (1873- 1936). Tato autorka je v dnešní době již téměř neznámá a je neprávem opomíjená. Nikdy nezískala velkou čtenářskou pozornost, jelikož její díla jsou náročná a nelze je číst povrchně. Navázala na realismus a naturalismus, ale její texty jsou velmi moderní. Je autorkou psychologických próz, ve kterých se zabývá velkými etickými otázkami lidství a soustřeďuje se na existenciální problémy lidí. Její povídky nejvýrazněji reprezentují novoklasicismus v české literatuře. Tehdejší kritika považovala její dílo za příliš intelektuální a pro čtenáře nadměrně problematické. Naší prací se snažíme ukázat specifika povídek Benešové, jejich originálnost a přínos české próze počátku 20. století. Zabýváme se tématem, konstrukcí postav a výstavbou fikčního světa a zaměřujeme se především na naraci a vypravěčské postupy (vnitřní monolog, osobní vypravěč).
