Impacts of mortgage crisis in the banking sector USA and EU

My work focuses on impacts of mortgage crisis in the banking sector, in particular, the USA and the EU after the collapse of the bank Lehman Brothers. The first chapter focuses on the general causes of the crisis. The second chapter focuses on the risks that are associated with the banking business. The second part of my work deals with individual the falls of the banks and financial assistance of the individual governments to the banking industry. The last chapter of my work evaluates impact on the Czech banking sector.

Impact of the financial crisis on the corporate governance of international corporations

Since the year 2007 we have been surrounded by financial crisis. This phenomen is thoroughly discussed not only in media, as it attracts attention of both political and economical experts, but it also emerges as a major topic in the debates of the general public. The crisis which started on the American mortage market became a part of the various economies all over the world and as such became a factor vastly affecting separate economies and individual corporations. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the impacts of the financial crisis on international companies and the sectors, which was affected by financial crisis the most. The main contribution of this study is the acuteness of the topic, as no work on the subject, the impact of financial crisis on management of international companies, have not yet been published.

Czech households saving rate and its use on the capital market.

The main question this master thesis wants to answer is how much from their disposable income the Czech households save and how do they use their savings on the capital market. The thesis analyse situation and trend of the Czech households saving rate, changings of the marginal saving rate and checks in which financial instruments the Czech households alocate their savings. The thesis also focus on comparison of the Czech households data with the foreign households especially with the German, the Belgium and the Britain households as well as with Visegrád group households. Middle part of the thesis contains a forecast of future progress, which is compared with the similar forecast from year 2006, as well as the relationship of the government and the household's savings rate and possibilities and impacts of its regulation.The thesis is finished with the conclusion which summarize the most important results.

Moral Hazard in Corporate Governance

The thesis analyzes moral hazard in corporate governance and brings in actual theoretical knowledge on the topic. It examines four examples of the companies which went bankrupt due to moral hazard of their top management: Enron, WorldCom, Parmalat and IPB. All case studies are assessed in accordance with OECD Principles of Corporate Governance. At the end of the thesis, there are mentioned impacts on legislature and suggestions of possible solutions.

Josef Macek's point of view on the solution to economic crises in Czechoslovakia in 1930's

This thesis is focused on the solution to economic crises in Czechoslovakia in 1930's projected by Josef Macek. The first part describes process and consequences of the crisis and its influence on Czechoslovakian economy. Concrete arrangements made by government and main attitudes to this problem will be mentioned also in this section.The second part will be devoted to the personality of Josef Macek and his economic theories. The last and largest part deals with proposals of Josef Macek which should help the Czechoslovakian economy in the period of recession and bring the economy back to expansion. Opinions of Josef Macek are taken and analyzed from prime sources of information -- his works, public performances and articles -- written during 1930's. The aim of this thesis is to introduce the opinions of Josef Macek as a opposite to arrangements made by the government.

The impact of the Catholic Church in the Šumperk area during the Communist Regime

Impact of Catholic Church in Šumperk area during communist regime The final thesis describes the life of the Catholic church between 1948-1968 firstly on a nationwide scale and then it focuses on the Šumperk mountain region, especially on the village of Bludov. In the first part the reader should understand how the political regime effected the Church, what the religious submission looked like and what bestialities were committed. The second part was conceived in order to show the impacts of the communist regime on ordinary life of the local people. The most important chapter of this part is dedicated to a law suit with parishioners in the village of Bludov. The law suit was used by the communist regime as a threatening example for the very brave locals. The whole text then refers to the thorough work and the bestiality of the communist government as well as poor existence of the Church over the period of 40 years. The moral of this is to honour all the heroes who rose from this state authority clash with clear conscience. Key words: beasttrial, Church clerk, persecution, totality regime, religious repression

The impact of quantitative easing on public sector bond yields of selected countries since 2007

This thesis deals with the impact of quantitative easing on public sector bond yields of selected countries in the world. It mentions channels of standard monetary policy tools and channels of quantitative easing, which can be included among unconventional monetary policy tools. This thesis analyses the impacts of quantitative easing, which was done by the Federal Reserve System, the Bank of England and the European Central Bank. Firstly, all these institutions fought against the financial crisis with standard monetary policy tools. However, those tools were not very effective, therefore the institutions moved to non-standard tools. After the analysis based on event-study method was carried out, it was found out that mainly the first announcements about the policy of quantitative easing were always the most effective in decreasing government bond yield. The subsequent expansion of the policy of quantitative easing did not have such impact. The main benefit of this thesis is in the examination of the impact of later statements regarding quantitative easing on government bond yield, which were not effective in decreasing government bond yield.

Economic impacts of the public debt of the Czech Republic

This thesis dedicates the introductory section to definitions of basic terms of the chosen topic. Here is clarified the issue of public finance and budgets, functions of the state budget and the revenue and expenditure sides. This thesis is focused on drafting of the causes of the public debt, together with the effects of debt and the possibilities to reduce it. Public sector structure is presented within its categorization, including the national debt, government debt and public debt.
The second part of this thesis examines the development of public debt in the Czech Republic along with the development of the national debt and government debt. The conclusion is dedicated to the evaluation analysis of mutual conditionality of public debt and selected variables along with recommendation to reduce the debt of the Czech Republic.

Analysis of Potential Consenquences of Toll Implication for Vehicles under 3,5 Tonnes in the Czech Republic

The Master Thesis is focused on potential consequences of toll implication for vehicles under 3,5 tonnes. The main goal of this paper is to evaluate these consequences and propose a recommendation to the government whether to imply the toll or not. Quantitative research methods in a form of questionnaire were used in order to estimate the potential consequences of 0,4 CZK per km toll for vehicles under 3,5 tonnes. Moreover, was analysed the publicly accessible data of transportation, car accidents and deaths on roads in case of the Czech Republic. Theoretical part is focused on the currently used system on highways, the history of highways, system used in European countries and aspects of cost-benefit analysis. Three frequently used highways were examined in the practical part of this paper. A numerous of calculations were used in order to quantify all possible costs of toll implication. Toll implication costs and additional costs that arise due to avoiding expensive highways by some drivers represented the main aim of these calculations. Conclusion of this paper sums up key points of this paper and points out possible negative consequences of toll implication.
