Čínská ekonomika po vstupu do WTO - aktuální vývoj
Jurčová, Klára ; Konečný, Čestmír (vedoucí práce) ; Brůžek, Antonín (oponent) ; Dřínek, Vladislav (oponent) ; Varadzin, František (oponent)
China is without any doubt one of the hot topics of today`s world and it is going to stay so in the foreseeable future as well. The European Union is aware of that as all other major players in the world are. They look at China in both awe and fear. Whether the fear is justified or not, is another question. China`s WTO entry was a clear signal for its trading partners that the reforms will go on and that China is going to follow its principals. The year 2006 marked the fifth year of China`s accessions to the WTO. By that time, China became, the world`s fourth-largest economy, the world`s third-largest trading nation after the U.S. and Germany, one of the most popular destinations for foreign direct investment, a major global manufacturing center and, along with the U.S. economy, one of the world`s greatest, if not the greatest, engines of economic growth.

Jurečka, Peter ; Brůžek, Antonín (vedoucí práce) ; Zahradník, Petr (oponent)
This diploma thesis deals with the impact of real exchange rate volatility on real export of the Czech Republic. In the first part, theoretical aspects of this relationship are examined, explaining both - positive and negative ? effects on bilateral and aggregate trade flows. Further on, empirical data and econometric tools are employed to capture the relationship between real export and its main determinants for the case of Czech Republic in the past decade. After the brief theoretical introduction to time series econometrics, the particular export demand model is proposed and various cointegration techniques are explained and applied to examine the long-run equilibrium but also short-run dynamics.

Nominální měnová konvergence
Čech, Zdeněk ; Brůžek, Antonín (vedoucí práce) ; Jakš, Jaroslav (oponent) ; Dědek, Oldřich (oponent) ; Frait, Jan (oponent)
Dizertační práce identifikuje a klasifikuje možná rizika měnové konvergence v procesu přistoupení k eurozóně u nových členských zemí Evropské unie, tj. včetně České republiky. Propojením výsledků komplexního rozboru institucionálního rámce Hospodářské a měnové unie a analýzy vývoje inflace a měnového kurzu u stávajících členů eurozóny v konvergenčním období identifikuje možné alternativy měnového přiblížení k euru. Závěry přispívají do diskuse o dilematech hospodářské politiky, které čekají nové členské země EU v dalších fázích integrace do evropských měnových struktur.

Popisuje teorii optimálních měnových oblastí a měnovou politiku Evropské centrální banky. V další části detailně analyzuje vztah ČR a SR k měnové unii, plnění reálných a nominálních konvergenčních kritérií a praktické přípravy na přijetí společné měny.
Globalisation in Strategic Context
Javor, Miroslav ; Kohoutová, Helena (vedoucí práce) ; Brůžek, Antonín (oponent) ; Řezníčková, Bronislava (oponent)
Fundamental idea of presented doctoral dissertation is that investigating deeper implications of globalisation requires a specific contextual approach based on combination of interdisciplinarity and non-analytical methods, both in general and in terms of business strategy. Red line of the thesis is effort to narrow down the globalisation concept to empirically testable form on business level without loosing grip of the unique essence of this social phenomenon. The result of my research in given direction is introduction of an alternative way to expand objective understanding of globalisation on business level. This is accomplished by the means of explaining the relation between globalisation-related perceptions and expectations of business and by further utilization of this objective characteristic of contemporary globalisation for testing the relevance of other related relations within business strategy.
