Determinants of coping
Balaštíková, Veronika ; Blatný, Marek ; Kohoutek, Tomáš
The study tasted one group of factors of coping - self-concept factors: self-concept clarity, self efficacy and Self-esteem. Behavior in load, stressfull situations was measured by CSI - Coping Strategy Inventory. We found that the most influencing factor of self-concept is self-concept clarity, it is related to coping strategies expressing emotions, social withdrawal, wishful thinking and self-criticism.
Reaction of adolescents to the problems in family: connection with self-esteem and with self-efficacy
Osecká, Lída ; Macek, Petr ; Řehulková, Oliva
The presented study is oriented to the description of relationships between adolescent coping strategies in family context and self-self variables. A sample of 316 respondents (132 girls, 184 boys, aged from 16-19) completed a survey including invetories regarding an using of different coping strategies in their own family environment. Also, both self variables, self-efficacy and self-esteem, were derived from relevant items of scales. Results did not confirm all our presumptions: Self-efficacy is mainly related to the non-expression of negative emotions (as a coping staretgy), less important predictor (but also significant) is an active rational coping. Social support is positively related to self-efficacy in girls only. In regard to boys, this relationship is negative. Self-esteem is positively related to the non-expression of negative emotions in boys, the active rational coping is significant predictor of self-esteem in girls.
Comments to research in content of self and identity
Macek, Petr ; Osecká, Lída
Self and identity research is connected with many specific problems. They are related not only to different theoretical frameworks and to terminological difficulties. A main specifity is based on the fact, that information about self-system and identitty can be obtained only from subjective presentations and statements of respondents. There are no criteria of external validity. All other human characteristics (temperament, cognitive dimensions, perceptions and evaluations from others, communication) caan be considered as determinants of self-system and identity. However, they do not offer direct information about a content of identity and self. On the other hand, not all subjective statements regarding self are relevant for self-system and identity. Ouur contribution discusses some possibilities and difficulties of quantitative and qualitative research in this matter.
Regional Self-Government in the Eyes of the Public
Horáková, Naděžda ; Stachová, Jana
In October 2004 CVVM focused on the regions and regional self-government. Among other things the research looked at how respondents evaluated the introduction of the new system of regional administrative divisions and what objectives they considered a priority for their region.
Zkvalitňování kultury vyučování matematice cestou kolektivní reflexe
Hošpesová, A. ; Tichá, Marie
Cultivation of teachersďself-reflection and systematic conduction of collective reflection can change character and promote quality of personaly oriented education. Therefore we aim at creation of supporting conditions for realizing these activies. In this contribution we show how a choosen group of primary shool teachers perceived and evaluated their competencies in the course.
Teacherďs competences and action research in mathematics teaching
Tichá, Marie ; Hošpesová, A. ; Macháčková, J.
In the contribution meaningful role of systematic carrying out of self-reflection and common reflection in the professional development of teachers. Reflection and action research are shown as key items in the development of subject-didactic and pedagogical competences of teachers and in improvement of quality of mathematics education and teaching. The base of contribution is a video recording of realisation of teaching experiments designed by teachers themselves.
Dynamic properties of some physical models of artificial vocal folds
Šidlof, Petr ; Veselý, Jan ; Horáček, Jaromír
The paper presents results of measurements of acoustic and vibratory characteristics of several artificial vocal fold prototypes based on various principles. During measurements the dynamic subglottal pressure and output acoustic pressure were recorded. Spectral analysis of the signals was performed, and where the construction permitted, the vibrations were also observed by means of videostroboscopy. In some cases, a computer-modelling-based shape and material optimizations is possible with the aid of the mathematical models developed in IT AS CR.
Fyziologické údaje získané z aeroelastického modelu kmitání lidských hlasivek
Horáček, Jaromír ; Laukkanen, A. M. ; Šidlof, Petr
The results of the numerical simulations show that the aeroelastic model for vocal fold self-oscillations corresponds well with the existing clinical data and it thus gives the possibility to study independently various phonation related variables that may in living subjects be obscured by the co-existence of many variables. Furthermore, the model of course naturally gives the possibility to study also such variables that are impossible to study in living subjects.
