Political Aspects of Local Government - Party System of Nýrsko

The present dissertation is focused on the development of the party systems on the local level of political decision making with the aim to verify applicability of the party systems theory. The dissertation is divided into two parts - the theoretical bases and the thesis itself. The theoretical part deals with the definitions of the fundamental concepts, such as a political party, a municipality, municipal administration, the municipal election system, and last but not at least it is focused on the party systems and their applicability in practice. The practical part of the dissertation is approached as a case study dealing with the town of Nýrsko. It contains a short characterization of the basic demographic and socio-economic indicator of the municipality. The thesis searches for the main factors having an influence on the party system in the municipality of Nýrsko, it inquires about the political area for the consequent study of the political system, the extent of political participation, the political plurality and the inception of political parties. Then the applicability of the party system theory and the role of political parties in the local political area are researched.

Hydrogen production

The thesis deals with water electrolysis focusing in particular on pulse electrolysis. The theoretical part characterizes hydrogen and its properties as well as the ways of its use and storage. It also analysis various methods of hydrogen generation. It examines in details water electrolysis and its energetic and chemical balance. There is also an evaluation of water electrolysis efficiency and its improvement followed by pulse electrolysis description. Laboratory equipment for direct current and pulsed direct current hydrogen production are suggested. Theoretical expectations are tested experimentally. Finally the thesis presents the results of measurements, compares and summarizes the data. It points out the contribution of this type of electrolysis with its effectiveness. It proposes uses of electrolysis and the subsequent research.

The role and influence of non-verbal communication in personal selling

This bachelor's thesis examines the impact of the oldest part of our communication in the field of personal selling. In the beginning of the theoretical section we aim to define the concept and importance of non-verbal communication, and its parts, according to the channel of communication with the conclusion relating to the specific recommendations for salesmen. The personal selling process will be described in the second part of the theoretical section. Additionally, a theoretical clarification of the impact of nonverbal communication in the process of personal sales will be provided. The purpose of the theoretical sections is to serve as a basis for the practical section, which will help explain the final conclusion. The practical section examines, on the basis of questionnaire survey, respondent's reactions to non-verbal signals of sales men from audio-visual recording and provides the answer to the fundamental question of our work: "does non-verbal communication have an impact in the area of personal selling?"

Commercial and cultural particularities of Panama

Hlavnou témou bakalárskej práce sú obchodné a kultúrne zvláštnosti Panamy. Práca je rozdelená do štyroch kapitol. V prvej kapitole autorka uvádza základné informácie o Paname, podáva stručný historický vývoj a ekonomickú situáciu krajiny. V druhej kapitole rozoberá vývoj panamskej kultúry. Z teoretického hľadiska popisuje jednotlivé Hosftedeho kultúrne dimenzie. Na základe nameraných hodnôt pre Panamu sa snaží charakterizovať jej spoločnosť. Vysvetľuje vzťah medzi katolíckou vierou a Hofstedeho dimenziami. V tretej kapitole sa autorka venuje obchodným zvláštnostiam, ktoré sa týkajú obchodného jednania a činností s ním spojených. Ďalej sa zameriava na dôležité informácie o panamskom trhu ako sú colný systém, ochrana domáceho trhu, spôsoby riešenia obchodných sporov, platobné podmienky, možný spôsob propagácie a byrokratické podmienky, ktoré musí zahraničný podnikateľ splniť. Hodnotí tiež pozitíva a negatíva panamského trhu. V štvrtej kapitole rozoberá ekonomickú a obchodnú spoluprácu Českej Republiky a Panamy. Navrhuje potencionálne oblasti, na ktoré by sa český podnikatelia mohli v budúcnosti zamerať.

The Borges - Eco Labyrinth

The task of the thesis is to define notion of the labyrinth according to Umberto Eco (mostly in his Notes on the Name of the rose) and J. L. Borges in his short stories. The idea of the labyrinth as the metaphore for the textual universum will be brought up within the wider context in the following chapters. Concept of "the labyrinth" and "the Library" is mainly connected with deconstructive philosophical line and the second part is about their philosophical basis clarification. This section explains the possibilities of reader's moves in the maze: his strategy (Lyotard), way of the movement (Derrida) and potential restrictions (Eco). Another important part of the thesis is the topic reflexion in media - specifically in the film. Interpretation of the selected motion pictures will be aimed at those elements, which are important for the subject of the writing (labyrinth, book, intertextuality…).
