Bioflavonoids in human nutrition and their meaning in prevention of civilization diseases
SKOČNÁ, Zuzana
Bachelor thesis is considerd with bioflavonoids and their contribution to the human body. It is described the history, characteristics of bioflavonoids, chemical composition and their sources in food, here. The next part is focused on effects of bioflavonoids against some civilization diseases such as cardiovascular disease or cancer, and emphasizes their importance in human nutrition. The discovery of bioflavonoids is dated to the first half of the 19th century when the tanstuffs were detached. Bioflavonoids rank among the group of substances called polyphenols and it´s known more than 20 000 of them. There are ubiqity substances in the vegetal kingdom furnishing the characteristic colouring or taste of fruit and vegetable. Flavonoids are not even in fruit and vegetable but also in pulses, hops, buckwheat, tea, grapevine, chocolate and further spices. The contain of polyphenols in the plant diet can be affected by the variety, conditions of growing, picking maturity, processing, stocking or culinary treatment. The optimal is the flameproof finish in steam when the polyphenols fade away at least. The main place of polyphenol resorption in the human digestive system is the small intestine and colon. Bioflavonoids are thought of the protectors of the vitamin C and these two substances assist to each other in their effects. Bioflavonoids as so-called fytochemical substances make possible to plants to resist a infections and other demage resultings commited by microorganisms, insects or other enemy. The most considerable flavonoids, the part of this bachelory was devoted, fall into quercetin which is often situated in apples, onion, rutin in buckwheat, resveratrol in red wine and catechin in tea. The purpose of this working was to draw up the problems of bioflavonoids and find out which status these substances have, in a human nutrition. The positive effects to a human health agree from their antioxidative treatment at all. The epidemiological studies from the various parts of the world prove that some components of fruit and vegetable have considerable influence to certain types of cancer. In fruit are mentioned the positive effects against the oral cavity cancer, gullet and larynx cancer, in vegetable against stomach illness, colon, rektum and urocyst cancer. Many studies mention the influence of bioflavonoids in a prevention cardio-vascular illness and in a present day also in a ageing process prevention. At the end of the bachelory there are mentioned other positive effects of these substances in assorted illnesses prevention. These effects are due to their ability to inactivate free radicals and reduce risik hydroperoxides. Bioflavonoids assert theirself for example in a varicose veins treatment, piles, paradentos, variety tumours and inflammation. Many people use up ironically rather vitamins as food supplements in place of fresh fruit and vegetable. Because of it that´s necessary to learn that bioflavonoids in fruit, vegetable and other sources are irreplaceable for our health and many times more wholesome than the syntetic preparations.

The Overture to the First Version of the Opera King and Charcoal Burner
Myslivcová, Eva
The issue of different versions of works of music is one that is discussed in the case of Antonín Dvořák (1841-1904), and in a certain sense it is connected with the theme "old and new", when an older, earlier, or first version becomes the basis for a newer one. This text focuses on a specific example of different versions, that of the overture to the first setting of Dvořák's opera King and Charcoal Burner from the year 1871. An overture which, as an integral part of the opera, was based on the musical material contained in the work, which eventually was never performed. And at the same time an overture that was the only part of this opera to "survive", was later transformed by the composer himself to a concert overture and thus became an independent work, while the opera's libretto was set to new music. This is in a nutshell the rather complicated genesis of the opera King and Charcoal Burner, during which the Concert Overture in F Major took shape as a new composition, created from the musical material of an old one.

Kysela, Bohuš ; Konfršt, Jiří ; Chára, Zdeněk ; Jašíková, D. ; Němcová, L. ; Kopecký, V.
Two velocity measurement methods in discharged stream from Rushton turbine are compared. The tested methods are LDA (Laser Doppler Anemometry) and stereo TR PIV (Time Resolved Particle Image Velocimetry). The discrepancy of evaluated data from stereo PIV affected by transforming recalculation in discharged stream is presented.

Photocatalytic activity of titanium precursors treated in low temperature plasma
Brožek, Vlastimil ; Matějíček, Jiří ; Šrank, Z. ; Mastný, L. ; Janča, J.
In order to obtain compact photocatalytically active materials, the possibility of preparation of new titania forms by oxidation of titanium compounds, having different crystal structures and oxidation degree, was verified. Four model substances were chosen: titanium carbide, nitride, diboride and Ti2O3. These compounds were prepared in the form of high-specific-surface powder, as well as large-area compact free-standing parts by CVD, PVD and especially plasma spraying. After high temperature treatment in a water stabilized plasma, generated by the WSP torch, a measurable photoactivity was observed; this could be further improved by controlled oxidation below 450°C. Oxidation in an RF-generated oxygen plasma appeared more efficient, especially in shorter reaction times. However, the experiments have shown that even keeping the reactor walls at 450°C did not prevent the uncontrolled temperature rise inside, during the reaction of the oxygen plasma with titanium compounds.

Protection of information and personal data in employment relations
Pavelka, Ondřej ; Štefko, Martin (advisor) ; Kotous, Jan (referee)
Personal data protection in employment relations is an up-to-date subject in the Czech Republic. It is one of the fundamental human rights. Right for privacy and its protection are guaranteed by constitutional law and then elaborated in several statutes and executive regulations. The goal of the thesis is to analyze legal regulation of the matter in the Czech Republic and European Union. At the same time there is mentioned particular problems that arise in relation to personal data protection in employment relations and their possible solutions. The thesis is divided into 10 chapters that consists of subsections. The subsections deal with particular aspects of the topic and analyze them more closely. First two chapters describe legislation that is dealing with privacy protection and personal data protection in the Czech Republic and European Union. The third and fourth chapters focuse on interpretation and definition of basic terms that are "personal data" and "personal data processing". In the subsections there is briefly described the substance of the terms and there are given examples of their possible interpretations. The fifth chapter is dedicated to the subjects of personal data and those that participate in personal data processing. As to employment relations those are mostly employers and...

Rozdíly mezi pohlavími jako reakce na prodejní pobídky
Solilyak, Maryna ; Král, Petr (advisor) ; Zlatić, Marija (referee)
Today, more and more similar products in one product line appear on store shelves, and buying decisions have become more complicated for the consumer. Despite this, producers have a clear vision that one of the most effective tools that can be used to distinguish their products is sales promotion. Nevertheless, every customer is unique, and the responses to sales promotion tools differ as well. The reason for sales promotion campaigns success depends on the depth of understanding of consumer behaviour. In order to create a successful communication campaign, marketers should be aware in the best ways of reaching the desired consumers. In this work we will take a look at the gender differences in consumer behaviour. In particular, we would like to see different responses toward men and women toward sales promotion campaigns.

The fluorescence assay of aminopeptidase activity as an alterantive indicator of water quality?
Vrba, Jaroslav ; Svoboda, J. ; Fuksa, J. K.
Recent water quality/pollution control uses standard chemical, biological or microbiological indicators that provide information on water status with a delay of several days. Though they characterise direct impact of released compounds on water quality in a recipient, they do not well reflect consequent reaction of the ecosystem on increased pollution. Following the Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC we focused on such alternative microbial indicators that would allow for instant evaluation of ecological status of running waters and ongoing in-stream processes. Recently, activities of different extracellular enzymes have been suggested as indicators of both trophic status of lakes and organic or faecal pollution of streams. This contribution evaluates an indication potential of the extracellular aminopeptidase assay.

Legal regulations in sickness insurance and their influence on abuse of sickness benefits
KUNCOVÁ, Věra
Abstract My Bachelor dissertation ``Legal Adjustment of Sickness Insurance and its Influence on the Abuse of Sickness Benefits{\crqq} deals with the interpretation of the legal adjustment of individual sickness insurance benefits after 1st January 2008 and with reasons which may cause the abuse of sickness insurance benefits. The main objective of my Bachelor dissertation is not only to find out these causes but also to refer to the facts which could become a basis for changes and alterations in the legal adjustment of the sickness insurance system since 1st January 2009. My work and conclusions are based on good quality research using the method of half-standardized interviews with six respondents from OSSZ (=District Social Security Administration {--} transl. remark) in Tábor and Pelhřimov, and I also involved the method of documents analysis. The research was carried out on the basis of source materials which were available in OSSZ Tábor in the periods of January and February 2007, August to December 2007 and January and February 2008 and also on the basis of statistical data for years 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. The gathered data and interviews results apparently show that there is a tendency to the abuse of sickness insurance benefits in the company. This fact is supported by the legal adjustment both in the area of social insurance and in the area of health insurance, and consequently in the area of the criminal law too. The research established that there might be the abuse of benefits, but on the other hand, if you compare the data showing the amount of finances invested into the sickness insurance benefits in the months of January and February of years 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, it is apparent that in February 2008 there is a decline in financial means invested into these benefits. We have succeeded in reduction of expenses on sickness benefits then. And the adoption of the waiting period can partly prevent from sickness benefits abusing too. In spite of that decline which has indisputably resulted from the legal adjustment valid since 1st January 2008 there are remedies that could prevent from further benefits abusing such as a consistent reform in the health service system, introduction of clear rules for checking those who are on sick leave and financial participation of employers during the sick leave of their employees. Concentration of sickness benefits payments for employees of small organizations, for self-employed individuals and for employees of organizations onto OSSZ companies (=District Social Security Administration) should make this paperwork easier and should cause the fall in expenses connected with sickness benefits payments.

Posouzení interní metodiky testování na konkrétním projektu a návrh vylepšení
Hofrichterová, Kateřina ; Bruckner, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kodym, Oldřich (referee)
The thesis is focused on testing the banking software. The first part is contained introduction to the topic, introduced the project, including its objectives, the nature of the application, my role in it. Further described is a method Case study used throughout the work. The company is a researcher of the project for the client. The first objective is to describe the company's testing methodology by which the project progressed during, compare it with other methodologies with regard to their robustness, the degree of organization of work and domestic allocation. The second objective is to determine the bottlenecks including the determination of improvement. Each project is unique, so is suitable, another degree of organization. A control method of the project is agile. It is therefore expected framework anticipating complications and subsequent resolution of other areas to occur. The work defines the cause bottlenecks as the internal factor (human labor), external factors (legislative changes). Mapped was not only the current situation but also outlined the cause of the problem. And the third in terms of value-added most important goal is to design verification solutions experts. At work I described ways of solving problems. I woke them both employees solver side, so people from client companies. Experts from the client know good practices in the company and are able to assess the suitability due to the nature of society. Collaborators supply side, meanwhile, have extensive experience from similar projects. Their opinion on the issue can bring effective application of the Recommendation. The biggest benefit is not only the approval but also the subsequent implementation in the course of the entire project.

Colonialism as a reason for the Dutch Disease in Africa and its implication to economic development and monetary policy
Bauerová, Eliška ; Šíma, Ondřej (advisor) ; Hába, Stanislav (referee)
The main aim of the Bachelor's Thesis is to focus on developing countries and their complicated way to longlasting economic growth and stability. With an example of Africa it is trying to explain that badly used official development assistance together with barely any export diversity of a country can lead to a problem called the Dutch Disease. The first two parts of the thesis describe the theoretical concept as well as historical and current development of the continent. The third part brings recommendations for future development and includes specific macroeconomic data which provide more information related to hypotheses.
