Imaginary Landscapes
Hudcová, Veronika ; Bárta, Tomáš (referee) ; Kvíčala, Petr (advisor)
In the paintings of my bachelor work I'm inspired by the visuality of my dreams and the atmosphere of them. I was painting my imaginations of the imaginary worlds and landscapes. That naturaly pushed me in the sci fi theme. I used some cosmic objects and machinery I created by myself just for this case. This machinery or organisms are occupy the landscapes. I was not painting just my ideas but I was trying my paintings to give rise to imagination of the viewer. I should refer to inspiration by surrealism, especialy by the work of Josef Šíma and Toyes. Some connection is also with the Miroslaf Štolfa´s work.

VENCELIDESOVÁ, Petra: Master's thesis: Visual concept for the feature film "Puppet Syndrome", screenplay by Alena Alova, based on the novel "Petrushka syndrome" by Dina Rubina. Theatre and puppets in world cinematography. Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Theatre Faculty, Departement of Stage Design. Advisor: Doc. Ing. Arch. MgA. Ondřej Nekvasil. Prague, 2013. The aim of the thesis is to get familiar with what brings the interconnection of theatre and film, and which art mediums can be used for this purpose. By analyzing several films from various cultural backgrounds and epochs, we can gain a more complete picture of how to work with this theme. Also, the thesis examines production design and its effect in the overall atmosphere and concept of the given film. The main part of the thesis is a visual concept of the film "Puppet Syndrome", in which occurs a significantly theatrical performance as one of the main factors in the development of the story.

Study of protein changes in patients with nephrotic syndrome and Anderson-Fabry disease
Vojtová, Lucie ; Zima, Tomáš (advisor) ; Teplan, Vladimír (referee) ; Průša, Richard (referee)
Background: Heavy proteinuria may be caused by either increased glomerulal basement membrane permeability or membrane or podocyte structural damage, and also by impairment of secretion-reabsorption tubular processes. In this study, 60 patients with nephrotic proteinuria and other diagnoses (lupus nephritis, membranous nephropathy, IgA nephropathy, Wegener's granulomatosis) and 20 patients with Anderson-Fabry disease (AFD),which is an X-linked genetic disorder with deficient a-galactosidase A activity, were analysed by the 2D electrophoresis method. The main aim of this work was to investigate possible differences in urine proteins in nephropaties, between healthy controls and AFD patients and to identify abnormal proteins as potential biomarkers of disease. Methods: The urine proteins were devided by isoelectric focusing method using polyacrylamide strips (pH 3-10 linear). The second dimensional SDS electrophoresis was performed in 12 % polyacrylamide gel. The proteins were visualized by silver method and selected proteins were identified by MALDI-TOF MS. The gels were evaluated by Phoretix 2D expression software 2005. Results: We found out that without adding protease inhibitors we can detect proteolysis, with increased quantity of proteins manifested in the area about 10 kDa and decreased quantity...

Neuromodulation in treatment of selected dystonic syndromes
Havránková, Petra ; Jech, Robert (advisor) ; Štětkářová, Ivana (referee) ; Rokyta, Richard (referee)
Dystonia is a neurological syndrome characterized by the involuntary contraction of opposing muscles, causing twisting movements or abnormal postures (modified by Fahn, 1987). Writer's cramp is the most common form of task-specific focal dystonia. In the first study, patients with writer's cramp were evaluated for differences in cortical activation during movements likely to induce cramps (complex movements) and movements which rarely lead to dystonia (simple movements). Although complex patient movements during fMRI were never associated with dystonic cramps, they exhibited abnormally decreased cortical activity. This was not observed in simple movements and was unrelated to the character of handwriting or the presence/absence of visual feedback. Our results support the theory of dualistic sensorimotor system behavior in writer's cramp. As the somatosensory system is believed to be affected in focal dystonia, we focused on modulation of the primary somatosensory cortex (SI) induced by repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) in the second study, in order to improve writer's cramp. In conclusion, 1 Hz rTMS of the SI cortex can improve manifestations of writer's cramp while increasing cortical activity in both hemispheres. Handwriting as well as subjective assessment improved in most...

Rozvoj rekreačního potenciálu v k.ú. Výšovice

Sites and Sights. Displacement in the Era of Visual Turn
Bagdasarova, Jaroslava ; Petráň, Tomáš (advisor) ; Czumalo, Vladimír (referee)
The study deals with the experience of displacement. It treats the subject through the photographic codes of Chukchi migrants and tourists who have one way or another transcended rather notional boundaries of cultural configurations. Methodologically, the study combines visual anthropology, phenomenology of body and space, and surrealist approach to reality. Visuality is not seen as a mere tool of anthropological knowledge but a disposition for new epistemology. The study reveals the interrelation between the transformation of Chukchi from tourists to migrants while gradually integrating themselves in a culturally new milieu of Saint Petersburg, and their way of seeing. It is then also the character of their snapshots which changes: photography of remarkable is replaced by the photography of observed and later on by the photography of an observer.

Correlations between clinical and electromyographic findings in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome depending on rehabilitation therapy
Koutská, Helena ; Lepšíková, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Rychnovský, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of this study was to evaluate the therapeutic effect of rehabilitation in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome. The study focused on a comparison between electromyographic findings, the findings of physioterapist-led clinical examinations and the patient's subjective feelings, illustrated by a visual analogue scale of pain intensity. These three types of examinations were carried out prior to the commencement of rehabilitation and following 8 rehabilitation sessions (within a period of 2 months) in a cohort of 15 patients, and correlations between them were described. Given the high prevalence of the disease, an effort was made to find objective examination criteria without the need to resort to electromyography. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

The usage of Manual physiotherapeutical correction method in the therapy of the radicular syndrome of lower limbs
Rotová, Kristýna ; Muchová, Renáta (advisor) ; Pitrmanová, Věra (referee)
This Bachelor thesis will compare the examination process and kinesiological analysis of two patients diagnosed with root syndrome of the lower limbs using the MFK method. I will examine whether the results in the MFK system confirm the kinesiology analysis, and whether using the MFK physiotherapy method on symptoms associated with root syndrome of the lower extremities can have a positive effect. MFK method is relatively new in the field of physiotherapy. I would therefore like to examine the above mentioned neurological diagnosis to see whether the myokinetic activation examinations with visualization of the motor system as used by the MFK method provides benefits to examination methods used in physiotherapy. Root syndrome is a disease based on structural damage to the spine, spinal canal or intervertebral discs, accompanied by functional subjective and objective manifestations. I have narrowed the selection of subjects to include patients with root syndrome caused by prolapsed intervertebral discs. Pain is the primary symptom, but root syndrome is accompanied by other sensory and motor symptoms. The patient's subjective symptoms significantly quality of life, and so will be an important indicator of the effectiveness of the applied methods.
