Comprehensive Landscaping in Landscape Management
Humešová, Tereza ; Syrovátka, Oldřich (advisor) ; Květoň, Pavel (referee)
The aim of this work is to create cadastral municipality Lukavec proposals for measures to be focused on stabilizing the drainage conditions in this area. The means for implementation of the proposed measures are landscaping to help develop natural and cultural values of rural, environmental health, and environmental management. The theoretical part deals with the importance of drainage conditions in the country and summarizes the major and most severe impacts that disrupt water regime. The practical part is thoroughly analyzed the selected area and proposed several solutions for improving the basic functions of the landscape. These suggestions may serve as a basis for the development of comprehensive land to land the municipality. Furthermore, the detected status of the implementation plans of common facilities in the village, which has completed a comprehensive landscaping. The aim is also to find out what are the biggest obstacles in the implementation of comprehensive land. The work suggests that the importance of land consolidation as a tool to improve the environment, realizes the little people and the state is only marginal. Inadequate funding source makes the whole process of editing complex is very slow and basically lose the effect, which should yield especially in terms of landscape management. The lack of tools that would make the village-designed common facilities realize is fundamentally wrong. A major problem is too complex and confusing bureaucracy that overly complicates everything, the failure to state a limited local government. Another obstacle is ignorance, indifference and unwillingness of people to undergo this process. It is very important therefore awareness and informing people.

Holubová Šmejkalová, Adéla ; Zíková, Naděžda ; Ždímal, Vladimír ; Holoubek, Ivan
The direct effect of the atmospheric aerosols to radiation balance is the scattering or absorption of light on these particles. While solar radiation on aerosol particles or clouds negatively affects the radiation (resulting in cooling), absorbtion causes increasing of the ambient air temperature. Contribution to the study of the effect of aerosol particles on the climate, a measurement of the coefficient of light scattering is carry out at the Kosetice background station. The Integrating Nefelometer measures at 3-wavelength (RGB) forward and back light scattering. The values of the scattering coefficient at 550 nm (green) are typically high in the cold part of the year, reflecting both increased concentrations of pollutants and stable atmospheric conditions. Daily variability is the smallest in summer (varies between 25 and 18 Mm-1), the most noticeable daily variation is observed in the spring, when stable values 44 Mm-1 drop after noon to 26 Mm-1. The calculation of Ångström's exponent showed that in the summer, the fine fraction dominates in the sampled air.

The role of moral hazard in the financial crisis
Demčík, Matej ; Žamberský, Pavel (advisor) ; Hnát, Pavel (referee)
The financial crisis in the USA is due to its great consequences still considered to be current topic. Its causes were discussed and analyzed by many researchers, but mostly from the financial point of view. This thesis takes different approach and identifies the role of the moral hazard in the pre-crisis period. Moral hazard is very often underestimated and for many people uninteresting factor. Therefor, the thesis is divided into four parts, which present the theoretical background of moral hazard and bring up the importance and constant presence of it in today's world. The main part of this work is last chapter, which analyzes moral hazard in the causes of the financial crisis. Moral hazard played key role in the pre-crisis period when it was present at all possible levels deforming the behavior of market players and causing the market failure. The deformation had mostly form of excessive risk-taking, unfavourable financial products and abuse of the information asymmetry. Very specific and dangerous kind of moral hazard is associated with the government interventions such as Greenspan doctrine or Too big to fail policy. It is because of its systematic character, when opposed to the moral hazard in the private sector is not required the presence of information asymmetry.

Child abuse and neglect and possibilities of his legal protection (in context of family preservation)
Tesařová, Veronika ; Kodymová, Pavla (advisor) ; Holda, Dalibor (referee)
Problematika spadající pod syndrom CAN - zejména je-li pachatelem rodič dítěte - je velmi závažným společenským selháním.

On the basis of that, in the thesis also will be shown the own draft of the multicultural education project that targets to improve an integration in education system.

Can Bayesian econometric methods outperform traditional econometrics in inflation forecasting?
Stráský, Josef ; Netuka, Martin (referee) ; Baxa, Jaromír (advisor)
Forecasting of inflation rates has become crucial for both policy makers and private agents who try to understand and react to Central Bank decisions since many Central Banks implemented inflation targeting rules instead of control of monetary aggregates. Inflation forecasting is considered to be very complicated issue because univariate regression models and structural macroeconomic models are usually outperformed by naive random walk model. This work is intended for forecasting inflation in the Czech Republic by employing Bayesian econometric method (namely Bayesian Vector autoregression - BVAR). Bayesian methods proved to be useful in inflation forecasting in developed countries (Fabio Canova: G-7 Inflation Forecasts: Random Walk, Phillips Curve or What Else?, 2007). Bayesian econometrics is one of the most developing fields of econometrics for past two decades. In the centre of the approach is Bayesian probabilistic theory based on conditional probabilities. This probabilistic approach is, however, computationally demanding. Fast computer evolution enables wide applications of Bayesian models. Model estimations are based on combining information from some prior beliefs and from the data. Many different sorts of models have their Bayesian variants (e.g. OLS) but the emphasis in this work is on Bayesian...

Production rules for the project Pogamut 2
Štolba, Michal ; Sýkora, Ondřej (referee) ; Brom, Cyril (advisor)
The project Pogamut 2 provides a possibility of fast prototyping of agent behaviours in a complex envirorment of the Unreal Tournament 2004 computer game. A fuzzy rule based system was introduced to be used beside the POSH rule based system, which was already a part of the project. Aiming to find out how exactly is it possible to add such system and what possibilities or complications it brings, this thesis presents the theoretical presumptions, their application, a design of an architecture, it's partial implementation and an example of agent controlled by the implemented fuzzy system. The agent's functionality was proved by several experiments. This thesis should also be a basement for furher work, such as full implementation of presented architecture, adding an user interface integrated within Pogamut IDE, and for wider possibilities of experimenting with the fuzzy agents.

Computational Investigations of Biomolecular Systems and Comparison with Experiments in Various Environmental Conditions
KHABIRI, Morteza
Computational methods were used to study two different types of biological systems. The first study is related to the effect of three different organic solvents (formamide, acetone and isopropanol) on the structure and behavior of three globular proteins. These enzymes belong to the haloalkane dehalogenase family: DhaA, LinB, and DbjA. Moreover, the effect of mutation in the presence of DMSO was also investigated in two variants of DhaA; DhaA57 (L95V+A172V) and DhaA80 (Thr148Leu+Gly171Gln+Ala172Val+Cys176Phe). The simulation results showed that except for DhaA80, organic solvents entered the active site and influence its hydration. Not only the active site but also the enzyme?s hydration shell is influenced by organic molecules. The results showed that the water molecules are stripped out from the enzyme surfaces. It seems that the dual nature of organic molecules makes them favorable to solvate the enzymes. Radial Distribution Function (RDF) of the different parts of each organic molecule reveals that the behavior of each organic solvent in the vicinity of hydrophobic surfaces is similar to their behavior at the air-water interface. Structural analysis of root-mean-square-deviations (RMSD) and B-factors reveals that the flexibility of the enzymes decreased in the presence of most organic solvents, mainly in the CAP domain. Changes of other structural properties like radius of gyration and total solvent accessible surface areas are minimal. DbjA exists as a dimer and is more influenced by organic molecules. They penetrate to the amino acid network between monomers and influence their motion. The second study is the interaction of voltage-gated potassium channel Kv1.3 wild type and its mutants (Kv1.3_V388C, Kv1.3_V388C_H399T) with scorpion toxin (ChTX). Since there is no structure for Kv1.3, 94% sequence identity with Kv1.2 structure was used to make a homology model based on the Kv1.2 structure. MD structural analyses reveal that mutation of V388C changes the stability of selectivity filter by interrupting the amino acid network interactions behind the selectivity filter. The interaction of ChTX is also affected by the single mutant. ChTX is able to block wild type and double mutant channels but cannot occlude the pore entirely. Introducing the second point mutation H399T in the pore region reverts the structural changes back to the wild type. These results are entirely consistent with experimental results. Additionally, the binding energy of ChTX with the wild type mKv1.3 was investigated by the potential of mean force method, in the presence and absence of KCl solution. The results both in experiment and simulation show that, even though the unbinding process and dissociation rate is changing in the present of K+ ions, the binding energy is independent of K+ concentration. All together, the combination of computer simulations together with experiments provides new knowledge about channel-toxin interactions which could be helpful for drug design.
