Optimization of advantages on business current account
Hach, David ; Švecová, Lenka (advisor) ; Theodor, Michal (referee)
The basic aim of this thesis was to evaluate the profitability of current accounts offered by the five largest Czech banks. In this context it was proposing to create such an evaluation device, which is sufficiently versatile and reusable. After a thorough examination of the general principles of decision-making theory and the basic characteristics and instruments of current accounts has been developed appropriate analytical base for follow-up of the work. In the analytical part proved very useful hierarchy of objectives and criteria, as well as the use of exact methods for determining weights of criteria and selecting the appropriate option. For determining the weights of the criteria were used point scale method, preferential ranking method, the method of paired comparisons, Saaty's method and compensation method. For the selection of variants were used multicriteria utility functions, Saaty's method and compensation method.
Management vs. Leadership
Bouška, Pavel ; Kešner, Martin (advisor) ; Ondrušková, Hana (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to realize a qualitative research concerning different human's approaches, while meeting the tasks and reaching goals and on its results recommend optimal approach to leading and managing employees. For realization of quantitative research has been used an observation method, which provided wide possibilities of evaluation for investigation of existing phenomenon. Through analyze of observations has been succeeded to draw the difference between management and leadership approaches depending on the level of required communication between boss and employee. The elements of the communication are predetermined by held paradigms by each participant of a discussion. They then include considerable unstated information in their opinions. First step how to change of those paradigms is to realize of existence of present paradigms.

The using of multi-criteria decision making methods for evaluating the spending activities in the target budgeting methodology
Maslák, Stanislav ; Ochrana, František (advisor) ; Vítek, Leoš (referee)
The topic of these Thesis is the use of the multi-criteria methods at budgeting the expenditure side of the state budget. The first chapter of the thesis describes in detail the ex ante analysis as a support tool for decisions on public expenditure and also the economy, efficiency and effectiveness as the criteria for the ex ante and ex post analysis of the public expenditure of the state budget. Furthermore, I describe here analysis of decision making, specifically the individual elements and the structure of decision-making process. The second chapter focuses on various methods of quantification of the weight of the criteria and the methods of multi-criterial decision. In the third, final chapter, I apply the methods described in second chapter to a specific example.
Návrh retail business DSS
Mašek, Daniel ; Mildeová, Stanislava (advisor) ; Šikuda, Martin (referee)
The reason why I chose this topic is not nor the complexity of global world neither the growing pressure on quick and effective managerial resolutions as it is mentioned in similar scripts. Surprisingly, the main impulse was the synergy of three principal aspects of my master study. First millstone was a study of main specialization by its self: Information management, on cathedra of System analysis, faculty of Informatics and Statistics, Economic University in Prague. The second angle is the minor specialization of the study: Retail business, on cathedra of Commercial business, faculty of International relations, Economic University in Prague. Last but no least aspect is simultaneously exercised practice in field of managing the project ICT/ IS and logistic operations. Prime aim of this work is a concept of presentation of DSS, which is intended to support the decision-making process of development of a retail chain of fictitious firm JK, a.s. Partial goals heading to fulfilment of a prime aim are: determination of a theoretical expectations, methods and methodic needed to proposal of DSS, description, and analysis of company and retail chain, procedural analyze of decision making-process of retail chain development, concept of system dynamic model, which forms the root of DSS and the concept of DSS by its self. Secondary aim is to gather satisfactory amount of theoretical and practical details for presentation of project DSS to management of the company. The biggest benefits of this work are fulfilment of a prime and secondary aim, together with the project DSS it self, which could be partly applied for the support of the decision-making process in the company. Further assets for the firm JK, a.s. are conclusions of some captures, which could be used for planning of marketing campaigns, generating Business Knowledge Base, evaluation of affectivity of sales and human resources, etc. The final bonus for the author of this work is the personal progression, profession growth, caused by gain of new
Model Solutions to Energy Supply Local Transportation and Alternative Sources of Transportation
Krtička, Miroslav ; Pirožek, Petr (advisor) ; Mareš, Milan (referee) ; Žufan, Pavel (referee)
The Thesis are focused on the area of strategic management using the strategies selection and decision making processes, based on the Game Theory apparatus. The analyses of local energy sources potential and possible use in local transportation are the basis of the Thesis. The problems of energy maintenance and efficient utilisation have not decreasing its importance even in the situation of technology & technical improvements; there are no universally-suitable processes found in this area. One of the approaches should be in the philosophy of maximising the utilisation of local resources to minimise the expenses of the transportation of the energies itself. The Thesis are focused on the increased efficiency of local energy-resources utilisation combined with continuously increasing energy demands in the area of transportation area. The Target is to construct model, having proportionally characterised the suitable strategies to the decision -- making in the areas of local energies production and/or their utilisation in the area of the local transportation demand saturation. The Game Theory approaches creating the basis for the different interested groups; it allows to compare the advantages of different options / strategies of the progress, having respected counter-strategies of the other parties of the conflict situation. The recommendation of the most advantageous strategies for the individual interested groups of the conflict (transport companies, potential producers of energies from local resources, society) is the result of the process. The construction of the model, having the ability to compare the merits of different options -- related to the energies-utilisation (strategies) is the contribution of the thesis. There is specific approach given to allow finding the results suitable for both interested parties of the conflict situation (producers of the organic matter for the energy production, potential energy producers, local transporting companies). All the results are based mainly on the verified statistic data sources. Resulting model allow good and transparent comparison of different strategies of the different interested groups related to the energy resources. The results could work not only in the area of theoretical calculations, but also companies and interested parties strategies recommendations to their own decision-making processes.
Evidence-based Management in Healthcare
Vydrová, Rosa ; Střítecký, Rudolf (advisor) ; Lešetický, Ondřej (referee)
Evidence-based management involves decision making based on the best available scientific knowledge about effective organization practice. This evidence can be obtained from internal or systematic external research. Analysis of measures to prevent infections in hemato-oncologic patients a Prague teaching hospital revealed, that current organization practices do not allow a high quality internal research assessing provided health care quality. Causes of barriers to practice evidence-based approach in the organization processes and potential solutions are debated. In healthcare, Evidence-based management has a significant impact on improving the quality of provided care via identification of the best processes of integrating the outcomes of evidence-based medicine into the routine clinical practice. The aim of this work was to fill in absent information about evidence-based management in Czech academic literature and to introduce the ideas, principles and tools of evidence-based practice, as well as information on available sources of scientific evidence and activities that help adopting the evidene-based approach to management.
Choice of the suitable software from the viewpoint of multi-criteria decision making
Mašátová, Jana ; Kalčevová, Jana (advisor) ; Skočdopolová, Veronika (referee)
In today's world there are many different substitutes for most products and services, increasing the demands on decision-making among substitutes. In order to make a decision, it may be very helpful to use multi-criterial methods for evaluating of the options, which are available to the general public through special programs. Thank to these programs, the general public does not have to be informed in detail about multi-criterial methods and can use the convenience of multi-criteria analysis. The aim of this thesis is to describe and compare the publicly available noncommercial czech software that allows the simplification of choice when choosing from several options according to specified criteria. The thesis work is focused on discrete models of evaluation that are simpler and more suitable for pre-defined alternatives. Non-commercial programs, many of which were created at universities, are evaluated in this thesis. Furthermore, some very well-known evaluation methods, which appear in some programs, are presented.
