Cooperation of a Canistherapeutic Team with a Multidisciplinary Team in the Center Arpida in České Budějovice
FRAŇKOVÁ, Zuzana
This thesis deals with the cooperation between the canistherapeutic and multidisciplinary team at Arpida, the registered center for the rehabilitation of disabled people.Animal assisted therapy and preferably canistherapy becomes an integral part of the therapy in a variety of social services, we can see it as a part in educational institutions and even medical devices. It is proved among the many studies that canistherapy is based on the interaction between man and dog and also affects the overall quality of life.Since the beginning of the targeted use of animals in therapy specialists have gained a lot of experience, but in the field of canistherapy they still see the lack of link between services, as well as other shortages among the cooperation with other experts. The author in the theoretical part of the thesis deals with description of parts of animal assisted therapy. She outlines the historical origins of therapy using animals, describes a division, methods and the forms used. The next chapter is devoted to the therapy using a dog. It describes the beginnings of canistherapy in the Czech Republic, conditions for practicing the professional kind of therapy and targets of canistherapy.Because the author sees the importance of linking treatment with the help of a dog within other therapies, the following chapters is devoted to a coordinated rehabilitation, its resources and members of the multidisciplinary team. The thesis also mentions the concept of circular care.As an extension of the circular care, the social worker stands on top. One chapter is also devoted to the quality of life. The last chapter is devoted to a brief description of the Arpida center, a multidisciplinary team and canistherapeutical teams which attend the Arpida center. This thesis continues with practical part where the author describes the aim, research questions and research methodology. The aim of the thesis was to determine the extent of cooperation between canistherapeutical and multidisciplinary team in the center of Arpida. For research in the thesis a qualitative strategy was used, meaning an interviewing method and a technique of semistructured interview. The multidisciplinary team experts in the Arpida centre, and the clients´ parents regularly visited by the canistherapist became the research group. It was an occupational therapist, physiotherapists and special needs teacher among the experts. Two main research questions were established: HVO1: In what multidisciplinary team expert´s care is the client using canistherapy? HVO2: Does their professional activity go before or does it follow the canistherapy? The interviews were recorded on a Dictaphone and then transcribed into written form. The results are published in the form of open coding, where the author has defined categories. The research results are divided into chapters according to the categories that have emerged from open coding. The results show that collaboration between multidisciplinary and canistherapeutical team does not exist. Thanks to the openness of informants and their answers, the author has found out that cooperation among these experts is possible. The interviews identified areas where cooperation could begin and with such experts would be the best. Results are supplemented by a table which categorizes streamline and SWOT analysis. The author, in the discussion conclusion has applied her knowledge of practicing professional canistherapy and has proposed recommendations for practice and cooperation in the fields of physiotherapy and occupational therapy. It is very easy to see from the research conclusion that cooperation is possible, and therefore the author would like to recommend the work to a multidisciplinary team from and parents of clients, who see canistherapist regularly. This thesis could serve as an inspiration for canistherapists who cooperate with other professionals and want to elevate their volunteer activities on valid therapeutic or rhb method

Just one step to the man: The Relationship to the "non-human" life on the base of the works of A.Schweitzer and H. Jonas
Bernardová, Marie ; Halama, Jindřich (advisor) ; Ovečka, Libor (referee)
The central theme of this thesis is the action towards "non-human life", i.e. towards the life of "people", who aren't called people in certain circumstances. The author asks, if our responsibility is limited to human beings. The definition of human being is deliberatery avoided, as it always depends on the context of its creation. The problem is looked upon from the opposite standpoint of approach to life as such. Some possible answers to the question why we should be responsible for "non-human" life as well are presented. The author analyses ethical concepts of A. Schweitzer and H. Jonas who consider life in itself, demand on our conscious and responsible actions towards life, and the existence of debt adherent to all our actions as central. The two concepts are applied to a particular field - the problem of unborn life - and they are compared to positions resulting from the definition of human being. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

A Concept of Man in Economics
Műller, Jan ; Chalupníček, Pavel (advisor) ; Doležalová, Antonie (referee)
This diploma thesis researches model of economic man, its historical background, and also modern critics of this concept and alternative approach to economic man, especially in behavioral economics. Human (im)perfection leads to the discussion about a range of liberty man should get eventually to which extent should a man be led by paternalism. Therefore this thesis introduces and tests concept of libertarian paternalism which is applied to drug issues. The thesis demonstrates that model of economic man is in many ways too simplified and insufficient. Thus, extention of this model with findings of psychology, biology and other sciences seems beneficial. Libertarian paternalism, despite few shortcomings, shows potential to be realisable and viable in certain situations.

Rights of patients in the Czech Republic
Švadlenová, Šárka ; Sovová, Olga (advisor) ; Císařová, Dagmar (referee)
Résumé in English The rights of patients in the Czech Republic People often discuss about human rihgts. Rights of patients also pertain to human rights. The rights of patients are included in the branch of medical law. They occupy a significant place in man's life, becauce sometimes each of us will find in the position of a patient. The term patient is a cardinal term of medical law. This term is used frequently in adjudications or legal regulations, but we do not find its legal definition anywhere. The patient is a person who is sick or hurt and needs a medical treatment. The word patient originates in Latin as "pati" and it means to suffer or to endure something. This term incorporates also healthy persons who take a preventive medical examination. The relationship of a physician and a patient is a basic relationship in the health service. At first this unequal relationship was grounded in paternalistic conception. It meant that the doctor was an authority who knew what was the best for a patient. The patient was just the object of care. After the 2nd World War this conception changed when conventions of human rights were created. Nowadays the relationship between the physician and the patient is equal and partnership. The patient is participating in decision-making his treatment and no medical...

The history of uranium mining with particular emphasis on the 21st century
FUKA, Stanislav
Uranium is a chemical element with the brand U discovered in 1789 by German chemist Martin Heinrich Klaproth. Initially it was not particularly interesting for mankind, it was used mainly for colouring the glass. A major turning point came after the Second World War, when uranus began to be used for nuclear weapons and later for nuclear industry. At that time Czechoslovakia was the great world power in the production of uranium. The aim of my bachelor´s work is a description of the uranium research characteristics and development of uranium mining in the 20st and the 21st century in the Czech Republic and in the world. An intergovernmental contract between Czechoslovakia and the Soviet Union about an uranium supply was signed in 1945. Jáchymov was the key place for the Soviet Union, there was only a research carried out in other places of Czechoslovakia. There were exported 98 500 tons of the separated uranium ore and the concentrate to the USSR. The uranium industry employed 40 000 people in the fifties of the last century and it should be mentioned that a considerable part consisted of inmates and prisoners. At the turn of the fifties and sixties, the supply for military purposes is filled up and the uranium begins to be used mainly for nuclear energy. The mining is reduced after 1989 mainly due to an overproduction of uranium. The uranium mines are gradually closed and the places of extraction and chemical finishing departments of the ore are recultivated. The only mine, which is still in operation, is in Dolní Rožínka in the Bohemian-moravian highlands. A significant problem nowadays after the extraction seems to be the location of Stráž pod Ralskem, where the uranium is mined by the method of chemical infusion (In Situ Leach), and the chemical finishing department of the ore, mainly a MAPE Mydlovary. The price of remedial work estimated at 40 billion Czech crowns in Stráž pod Ralskem and will last approximately for the next 20 years. Redevelopment in the 5 MAPE Mydlovary is estimated in the tens of billions of Czech crowns and it will take about another ten years. Bachelor´s thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part, there are described the sources and methods of uranium mining, the concepts of radioactivity, uranit. After that there is described the current state of environmental burdens in the MAPE Mydlovary in Českobudějovicko. In the practical part I deal with the issue of the impact of uranium mining on man and the environment, the development in uranium mining in developing countries and the perspective of the extraction and a comparison of the uranium reserves in the Czech Republic and in the world. A section of the practical part follows up the development of the price of uranium in world market.

Aktivization in old age
SÝKOROVÁ, Lenka
Activation in old age The old age is the period accompanied by a number of physiological, psychological and social changes. The human society gets older in the whole world and the Czech Republic is no exception. Also in the higher age it is necessary to maintain the physical as well as psychological and social activity which is based on the bio-psychological conception of the man and his needs. The activity in higher age is important not only for maintaining the physical as well as mental health, but it improves the quality of live in total. In connection to incorporation of activities in older age, the concept of activation is being applied. The activation is important for the seniors in the home environment as well as for seniors in senior homes where it contributes to the better adaptation of the new client having arrived into the facility. In the theoretical part, I write among others of individual activation programs being offered by senior homes. The first goal of the thesis is to survey the activation programs offered in the senior homes in the South Bohemia. The second goal is to find out if the clients take advantage of these programmes. The hypothesis was postulated {\clqq}The most seniors in the senior homes take advantage of the activation program for memory training``. The research complex consists of clients of senior homes, moreover of the employees performing the activation in the senior homes and the directors of senior homes. The research was performed in senior homes on the territory of the South Bohemian region in the time from 20th March to 15th April 2008. 34 clients of senior homes, 12 directors of senior homes and 9 employees performing activation in senior homes took part in the research. In the thesis the following methods of data collection were applied: half-controlled talk, standardised questionnaire and comparative analysis. In the talks with clients in the senior homes I was interested in the fact what offered activation programs are being utilized by the clients, how they are satisfied with programs, the contribution of these programs. The questionnaires were determined for the directors of senior homes on the territory of the South Bohemian Region and moreover for the employees performing the activation. By means of the questionnaires I surveyed the kinds of the offered activation programs, usage of programs by the clients, contribution of activation programs for the clients, staff assurance in the programs and professional education of the employees performing the activation, but also new possibilities in the field of activation. It follows from the research that the most seniors in the senior homes take advantage of the ergo-therapy. The postulated hypothesis was refuted. The thesis shall contribute to the better survey of the individual activation programs, their contents, contribution and possibilities of usage in the work with seniors and it shall also give feedback to individual facilities.

Subsequently have been selected critical parameters for visual telepresence. At the conclusion of the theoretical part were designed some experiments to validation of human body biological parameters. In the practical part was conducted measuring the extent and speed of head movements, eye distinction depending on the lighting and measurement of visual field man. Also, a series of experiments was performed for practical technical embodiment of the telepresence system rescue robot for class Orpheus.

Man, information and ICT: The developing of information society
Kastner, Pavel ; Rosický, Antonín (advisor) ; Sigmund, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis draws attention to two-way relationship between a man and information which significance is substantially increased with the development of so-called information society. First we define the basic concepts and approaches on this issue and then some issues that arise from the above mentioned relationship will be discussed. We will emphasize particularity of interpretation of information and influence of information on decisions and actions of man and possibilities of its misuse. In the end the attention will be paid to the information society as a whole and to its current and likely future developments. We will use, in the Czech literature rarely mentioned, evolutionary-cybernetic model of society.

Controversy on Human Rights between E. Burke and T. Paine
GREGOROVÁ, Markéta
This diploma thesis deals with the famous controversy concerning interpretation of the French Revolution between Thomas Paine and Edmund Burke. This controversy is put into context with English debate on the revolution, which commenced with Price´s sermon (On the Love of our Country, 1789). Burke responded with his work Reflections on the revolution in France to that and subsequently Paine reacted with a text Rights of Man, in which he expounded his philosophy of the rights of man. The focus concentrates in the diverse interpretation of the concept of human rights with both authors.
