Diffusion of innovations in the social network of Czech foodbloggers
Hyclová, Barbora ; Lupač, Petr (advisor) ; Diviák, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis deals with the diffusion of innovations theory in current communication conditions. The first part of the thesis discusses the potential of changes in diffusion of innovations theory after transformation of society's communication structure enacted by widespread diffusion of the Internet and various social software. The theoretical framework is then utilized in analysis of the Czech food blogging social network. The first research question of this analysis is to determine, how the network, socio-demographic and attitudinal characteristics of food bloggers influence the diffusion of selected innovation in blogging, which is represented by vlogging. The second research question is concerned with the type of diffusion system this networks corresponds to. The combination of social network analysis and quantitative online survey among food bloggers. One of the most interesting findings is the inverse proportion of mutual degree to the video blogging use. The number of mutual connections in the network (degree) and size of the residential area of a food blogger were found to be the noticable individual characteristics influencing adoption of innovation. In terms of the type of diffusion system the network rather corresponds to decentralized diffusion system, that may, however, be threatened...
Autonomy of directors and teachers in the current Chinese educational system
Wagenknechtová, Radana ; Voda, Jan (advisor)
This thesis looks at the Chinese educational system and the autonomy that directors and teachers share in the decision making process. It not only examines the educational system as a whole but analyses different levels of the educational system, puts an emphasis on the autonomy of teachers and directors in a school environment, and introduces various school reforms in China since 1976. Consequently, it clarifies the current Chinese educational system with an emphasis on various organizational levels along with the power they have in the decision making process and the options for creating change. Through the study of key documents of the Chinese educational system, political system, and other foreign literature, the legislative processes and documents that are responsible for the Chinese educational policies are made apparent. The thesis compares the official Chinese educational system's documents and processes with the actual situation. Based on this research, the thesis determines the real level of autonomy that directors and teachers possess in the decision making process. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
The potential improvement of the cyber security strategies
Jandura, Lukáš ; Střítecký, Vít (advisor) ; Schmidt, Nikola (referee)
The thesis is focused on central nodes' dynamics in cyberspace, representing its key elements. This approach is derived from the theory of networks developed by Albert-László Barabási and applied on different aspects of cyberspace, which brings different views at known events and issues and discovers relationship between central and common nodes. Cyberspace is perceived in its broadest shape as a fluid result of social constructivism influenced by behaviour of its users. Final outcomes are summarised to recommendations for a new approach to a cybersecurity strategy. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Decentralization in the new member states of the European Union
Řeháková, Anna ; Říchová, Blanka (advisor) ; Švec, Kamil (referee)
This thesis is devoted to analyze the decentralization process in selected Central and Eastern European countries. Its aim is therefore to evaluate and compare the results of decentralization in selected countries in the context of European regional policy - the Europe of the regions. The basic hypothesis is that regional policy provides a sufficient incentive for the EU nation-states to launch decentralization and proceed into the establishment of regional levels of government in the form of new political entities that are institutionalized, have their own poltickou representation and play a key role in planing and implementation of the structural and cohesion funds. The hypothesis will be investigated using analysis and comparison of the results of decentralization in the five Central and Eastern European Countries: Estonia, Slovenia, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
The Potential of Cyber Threats in the Critical Energy Infrastructure
Starý, Jan ; Schmidt, Nikola (advisor) ; Karásek, Tomáš (referee)
Diploma thesis analyses the potential of Cyber Threats towards critical energy infrastructure in terms of network theories originating in graph theories, complex networks and technological possibilities how to compromise security of networks belonging to critical infrastructure. By the analysis of defined dependent and independent variables the author finds out how networks behave under which circumstances, what means exist in the field of network security and if adopted measures to increase security are in accordance with the effort of creation safe and decentralized system of critical energy infrastructure. Main emphasis is put on the concept of smart grids as possible solution of decentralization. In these terms technical means of security are studied especially with emphasis on SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) systems and the Internet as one of the essential component of communication in modern communication technologies.
Fiscal Federalism in Spain in History and Nowadays
Majovská, Barbara ; Kučerová, Irah (advisor) ; Krausz Hladká, Malvína (referee)
The purpose of my thesis is to analyse the tools and consequences of the fiscal federalism in Spain. Decentralization process has started along with democratization since passing new Constitution in 1978. It has been mainly reaction to cultural, historical and political reasons of creation of Autonomous Communities. Economic crisis stroke the Spanish economy very strongly and has been a challenge for the whole financing model. Thus, the main aim of my thesis is to deal with the recent development of the financing model. Since Spain is a member of the European Union, I describe also tools of the fiscal federalism put forward by the European Union. Spain is considered to be one of the most decentralized countries in Europe. In my thesis I want to prove that further decentralization has been confirmed by reforms responding to the economic crisis. Then, I want to show that used tools of fiscal federalism are profitable for both state and autonomous communities and positively affect economy of Spain and that they has helped to deal with economic crisis. Finally, I want to show that Spain is getting closer to federal arrangement of government. As has been proved, decentralization is still prevailing tendency in financing model of autonomous communities. But central government has been proposing...
Devolution and Labour Party in Scotland
Havlíková, Veronika ; Kasáková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Váška, Jan (referee)
The bachelor thesis "Devolution and Labour Party in Scotland" addresses the issue of the relationship between state decentralization and the inner decentralization of political parties. The adoption of devolution has significantly changed the institutional environment in which the British parties operate and thus they were confronted with fundamental question of adapting to this new arrangement. This thesis examines the development of policies and organisation of the Scottish Labour Party after devolution, and aims to evaluate whether the creation of the Scottish Parliament brought for the Scottish Labour Party greater autonomy from the central leadership of the party. The first part of the thesis establishes the theoretical framework for examining the impact of decentralization of the state on organisation and functioning of political parties. It is followed by description of evolution of the Labour Party and its regional branch in Scotland prior to the devolution. This part forms the basis for comparison of the changes in policies and organisation of the Scottish Labour Party after the establishment of the autonomous institutions. The research itself focuses on development of policy in the Scottish Labour Party after devolution, formulation of party policies and electoral programmes. It also examines the...
Peer to peer systém pro vzdálené ovládání počítače
LEJTNAR, Michal
This thesis deals with creating of decentralized peer to peer system designed for remote control of computers. P2P network and single nodes in this network is inspired by hybrid peer-to-peer network architecture used by Skype application. The application uses terminal services available in operation system Windows for remote control of computers. Namely, MS Remote Desktop and MS Remote Assistance is used. The entire application is created in programing language C#.
