Statical solution of reinforced concrete structure
Velecká, Renata ; Kostiha, Vojtěch (referee) ; Zlámal, Martin (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis deals with statical solution of structure of the office building. The theme of solution is reinforced concrete monolithic point-supported ceiling slab. It's supoported by columns and whole structure is completed by two reinforcing cores and reinforcing wall. Structure review is done according to the first limit state – carrying capacity.

Reinforced concrete frame construction
Hons, Filip ; Hasala, Ivo (referee) ; Šulák, Pavel (advisor)
Master´s thesis focuses on the design of monolithic reinforced concrete structures storey hose which consist of 2 underground and 6 floors. This project deals whit two different boards, board over ground floor and over second floor, as well as three pillars supporting board, separate staircase placed in a reinforced core, base plate. All calculations are done according to applicable standards, mainly according to ČSN EN 1992-1-1.

Repair of Concrete footing of high voltage pylon by polyurethane grouting - analysis of grouting effectiveness
Ščučka, Jiří ; Bódi, J.
The procedure of state estimation of concrete structure of a high voltage pylon footing before and after its repair by polyurethane grouting is presented in the paper. Analysis of the grouting effectiveness was realised on samples taken from inspection core drilling to the structure. The analysis consisted of rough determination of compressive strength of drill core sample, description of deformation behaviour of the specimen under the load, and structural-textural analysis of created geocomposite using method of fluorescence microscopy combined with image analysis.

Initiation of stable crack propagation of selected building composites
Majtánová, Romana Viktória ; Veselý, Václav (referee) ; Keršner, Zbyněk (advisor)
The purpose of my bachelor’s thesis is study of the effects of fibres in normal-weight concrete and light-weight concrete. Specimens were prepared from concrete with polypropylene fibres FORTA FERRO of three different lengths – 19, 38 and 54 mm – and also reference concrete (without fibres) was prepared. This thesis contains gradual evaluation of fracture tests on specimens from mentioned materials. The used fracture test was a three–point bending fracture test on beams with a central notch. From the measured load–deflection in the middle of span and load–crack mouth opening displacement diagrams were determined values of modulus of elasticity, unstable fracture toughness, initiation part of fracture toughness and also load level for beginning of stable crack propagation composites. For determination was used „double–K“ fracture model. For illustration is described evaluation using the effective crack model.

Fostering Competences in investigating situations ( workshop )
Tichá, Marie ; Koman, M.
Workshop possibilities of fostering teacherďs competence (A) to search for "the mathematical core" of "mathematical" or "real (non-mathematical)" situations and (B) to orientate concrete situation with regard to mathematical topic and/or solving method.

Cave formation initiated by dissolution of carbonate cement in qartzose sandstones
Adamovič, Jiří ; Mikuláš, Radek ; Navrátil, Tomáš ; Mertlík, J.
Besides cavities of irregular shape, European sandstones also feature symmetrical cavities of spherical, ellipsoidal or teardrop shapes. Most of them are tens of centimetres across but some reach as much as 2–3 m in diameter and may coalesce into large caves tens of metres in length. Their origin has not been clearly explained yet. Based on the field comparison between such cavities in quartzose sandstones and incompletely developed cavities in carbonate-cemented sandstones, it can be demonstrated that the symmetrical cavities form by carbonate dissolution within the limits of former carbonate concretions. The diagnostic features of post-concretionary cavities include their circular or elliptical cross-section, a uniform orientation of their long axes across the region, and the presence of a set of parallel vertical joints or grooves/ribs on their inner walls. In some sandstone areas (e.g., Petite Suisse area in Luxembourg, Kokořín area in the Czech Republic), a wide variety of transitional forms can be found between the cavities and concretions forming positive relief on a vertical cliff face, depending on the position of the carbonate dissolution front in the present landscape.

Steel Structure of a Winter Stadium
Lobreis, Jan ; Pilgr, Milan (referee) ; Štrba, Michal (advisor)
The work is focused on assessing the structure of urban winter stadium, which will be located in Brno - Komarov. Winter stadium is designed according to standarts of ice hockey with a capacity of approximately 7 000 spectators. Of the 5 850 seating, 1 050 stalls and 100 in the VIP areas. Construction of hockey stadium is made of steel and steel-concrete columns, which together with composit transverse beam, reinforced concrete slab and bracings provide rigidity. Columns are supported by a set of bored piles with capitals. Roofing of the main part of the winter stadium is designed using a flat space frame having a maximum height of 4,5 m. Roof for entrance halls are design by a system of truss girder and purlins, which are hardened bracings to increase spatial rigidity. The structures are made of steel S 355 and concrete C 25/30. For designing steel structures was used software Scia ENGINEER and IDEA RS. Steel columns and composit beams are calculated by hand calculation. The total length of the hockey stadium is 111,5 meters, width outside the entrance hall is 82,02 m and the total width at the entrance hall is 96,85 m. The height of the building at the highest point is 25,6 meters.

The Architectural and Engineering Research of the Building Construction
Blaha, Jaroslav ; Heřmánková, Věra (referee) ; Anton, Ondřej (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is the diagnostic survey of the industry prefabricated hall. The thesis contains options of reinforced concrete diagnostic. Consequential conclusion judges material characteristics of the beam and roof girder. This thesis is focused on localizing the position and average of reinforcement in every single element. Next step is focused on quality of the concrete, particularly compressive strength and modulus of elasticity. The modern machines, like Hilti PS 1000 and Profometer PM-630, are used to localize the position and diameter of reinforcement. The quality of concrete is determined by removed bore core. Evaluation of material characteristics of the structure is in the conclusion.

Building survey and evaluating the state construction
Nguyen, Martin ; Komárková, Tereza (referee) ; Heřmánková, Věra (advisor)
This diploma thesis deal with the building survey and evaluating the state of existing constructions. In theoretical part are described the types of civil engineering surveys and diagnostic methods for conducting a survey of reinforced concrete structures. The practical part deal with describes the structural and technical survey of the production hall in the industrial area Fatra Napajedla, evaluating the strength of concrete on the existing structure through donations cores and verification of compliance with the reinforcement according to project documentation. The last part is focused on a static assessment of selected supporting elements of the structure.

Polyfunctional building
Michna, Patrik ; Pospíšil, Jaroslav (referee) ; Fuciman, Ondřej (advisor)
The assignment of my diploma thesis was to design a polyfunctional building. Function of the building is based on the requirements of the Land Use Plan Brno, cadastral zone Židenice. The aim of the design was to improve the quality of public space in the area by creating parks, urban parterre with services, parking and by bringing missing features to the area. The building is located in the centre of the plot. The main facade is oriented to the main street. Design creates new parking on the ground and in the underground garage. On the first floor are rentable spaces for commerce and services. At 2nd and 3rd floor are open space offices with the possibility of spatial variability solutions. Architectural expression of the building is simple, consisting as a compact mass with parterre subsided, useful in terms of energetical sustainability. The facade of the building is made as a combination of a transparent double skin facade and opaque ventilated facade with fibre cement panels. Structural system is a precast concrete frame with a cast-in-place reinforced concrete shear core. Foundation is made as a reinforced concrete pads and strips. Ceiling is made of a precast prestressed hollow core slabs.
