Karafiát, Nikola ; Vilímek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Handl, Vladimír (referee)
Bachelor thesis "Cultural development in the territory of the former GDR in the period from 50th to 70th years of the 20th century with an emphasis in the field of the pop music" deals with the image of East German state's cultural policy towards the pop music in the period starting with the end of the World War II and the Soviet military administration of the area, comprising the period of construction of the Berlin Wall in 1961 and a brief liberalization phase in the mid-sixties, and ending in the fall of the seventies. An expatriation of the famous East German socialist singer and poet Wolf Biermann in autumn 1976 marks an end to the core of this thesis. It also briefly mentions the development in the other areas of East German cultural life at that time (due to the restricted number of pages only literature and art are mentioned).

Sekerová, Lenka ; Navrátilová, Lucie (referee) ; Jílek, Petr (advisor)
Therapeutic applications of monoclonal antibodies (in oncologic indications) Background Monoclonal antibodies (Mab) are one of the possible means of treating oncological diseases. This thesis aims to summarize basic information about them and provide an overview of all antitumour monoclonal antibodies registered in the Czech Republic, whose stage III studies had been concluded before December 31, 2008. Main findings An overview of concluded stage three studies of all registered indications for seven tumour antibodies have been created including alemtuzumab, bevacizumab, cetuximab, ibritumomab tiuxetan, panitumumab, rituximab and trastuzumab. Considering the brief use of Mab in the medical practice, many of the studies have not been finished or their results are still to be published. Judging from the overview, the scope of indication of some monoclonal antibodies rises depending on the duration of their use. At the beginnings of therapeutic use, mainly for ethical reasons, monoclonal antibodies were applied to patients with later stages of the disease. The increasing amount of information on effectiveness and safety of the treatment as part of the research has enabled the use of biological treatment in earlier stages of tumour diseases and also in the adjuvant therapy. In comparison with the...

Nagyová, Lucie ; Šimkovič, Dušan (referee) ; Semecký, Vladimír (advisor)
Lucie Nagyová Treatment of recurrent chronic wound Diplomová práce Univerzita Karlova v Praze, Farmaceutická fakulta v Hradci Králové Studijní obor: Farmacie The aim of this work is understanding to recurrent chronic wound healing processes, with a view to chronic diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) and ways of its treatment. The purpose is to find, how treatment of chronic DFU is conducted in current clinical practise and then compare this finding with theory. We chose a group of twenty patiens incidentally, and we made a brief analysis of chronic DFU treatment based on information taken from patients' health reports. We found that the treatment is combinated and mostly local with using wild range of wound contact layers. The contact layer and the way of treatment are chosen individually, according to a type of a defect and a patient's health state. New ways of treatment targeted to molecular levels of healing wound are not used in current clinical practise because majority of patients can not afford this too expensive therapy. Because of that thorough education of patients is necessary.

Jiřištová, Zuzana ; Kühn, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Beran, Karel (referee)
70 Resumé Philosophical, Theoretical and Practical Aspects of the Legal Regulation of Doping Doping in sport is a topic that is not thoroughly explored in the Czech legal environment. This thesis will attempt to remedy this gap in two steps. First, it will summarize the status quo with regards to doping, its definition, its history and the current state of regulation. Second, it will propose a solution to the question of whether, why and how should be the doping regulated. The text is divided in six chapters, the first four focussed on the world of doping today and the last two on proposing a solution. The first chapter introduces the problems of elite sport and the use of performance enhancing substances. This is followed by a brief excursus into relationship between the law and sport with a focus on the world of global law. The third chapter covers the history of doping, providing definitions of the doping and briefly explaining the physiological impact of performance enhancing substances. The fourth chapter presents a snapshot of the current regulation in international, European and Czech law, as well as in 'sports rules' imposed by private organisations. The fifth and sixth chapters together propose a solution. The fifth chapter identifies and defines the two possible approaches to regulation, zero...

In sub-section about czech reception process of Kundera's first novel The Joke recensions are presented by chapters of the most accentuated characteristics given to the the book by the reviewers. Chapters are followed 76 by brief summary. In following chapter about francophonie reception most significant responses from french literary reviewers are introduced with emphasis on dissimilarities in perception in comparison to czech literary reviewers. On the contrary, the second part of thesis first presents most remarkable francophonie reviews of french written novel Identity again followed by chapters of the most accentuated characteristics given to the the book in czech media. Reception process in case of Identity novel is complicated in light of absence of czech translation. Though it illegaly came out on the Internet nine years after french edition, it only invoked series of disputes, often not literary and conversant personality of Milan Kunder rather then art quality of novel.

Modification and settlement of community property of spouses
Slámová, Irena ; Dvořák, Jan (referee) ; Salač, Josef (advisor)
73 IX. Summary The Modification and Settlement of Community Property Nowadays, marriage is an important institute of law. Marriage hasn't lost its function, despite the diminishing number of people who make a decision to get married. Legal property relations between spouses are one of the bases of the civil law. The aim of this study isn't to describe the matter of community property as a whole, but it is rather an endeavour to explicate all possibilities of its modification and settlement. My study seeks to examine and explain how the spouses can act if they decide to regulate their property relations differently. The regulation of community property is involved in the second part of the rule nr. 40/1964 Sb., Civil Code, entitled Laws in Rem, concretely in its second chapter Co-ownership and Joint Property. Separately of this chapter, there are the enactments relating to the matrimonial domicile. We can recognize three parts of the study. First part comprises two chapters, II. and III. In this section, I attempt to explicate the whole institute of community property: explain the matter of subjects (rights and duties), objects (things, rights and obligations) and the reasons of the origin of the community property. Also, a brief description is given the circumstances of modification and settlement of the...

Křížek, Pavel ; Svoboda, David (advisor) ; Sousedík, Prokop (referee)
Proofs for the Existence of God in Descartes' Principles of Philosophy Summary In present bachelor's degree work, a short review of Descartes' arguments for the God's existence is given. After a brief explanation of the structure of Descartes' system and of the basic philosophical terms used by Descartes in his works, the fundamental role of arguments for the God's existence in developing of Descartes' system is described. This introduction makes the reader familiar with the subject of the present work; the individual versions of Descartes' arguments are presented in a concise form. Then the Priniciples' version of the arguments is shown in comparison with other versions, first of all, with that ones from Meditations. The ontological argument is attended and it's simplicity is noted, particularly in Principles. It is shown a close connection between Descartes and the scholastic tradition consisting in Descartes's using and developing of a unique, sophisticated solution of the traditional problem of relation between essence and existence of finite beings (the theory of rational distinction), extended by Descartes to the nonfinite substance as well. The effectiveness of this version of the ontological argument makes it, at least partly, resistant to a whole set of the most common objections including the...

A theme of God's mercy in the Holy Scripture and making it contemporary in st. s. Faustyna Kowalska 's message This work concerns a theme of God's mercy first of all from the point of view of its different manifestation. It is an attempt to show a coincidence or a resemblance of the God's mercy introduced by the Holy Scriptures and st. s. Faustyna Kowalska's diary. After an opening part and a Brief explanation of notions "mercy" and "merciful" this work introduces an extensive part pointing out that the meaning commented notions is far deeper than it seems to be at the first sight. Therefore the contents of the central part are the chapters talking about some different expression of God's mercies completed with some passages quoted from the Holy Scripture and the Diary. The work is aimed to present a certain resemblance between the biblical texts' and st. s. Faustyna Kowalska's diary's statements about God's mercy. The work tries to offer a wider look to God's goodness, the long living true testified by immense guantity of the biblical texts and the st. s. Faustyn's diary first of all commemoraling the righteous words from her preface, what says: "Lord has chosen her to honor the memory for the message of His mercy to nowadays people. " Keywords: God's mercy God's love, faithfulness, forgiveness Confidence...
