Links between atmospheric circulation and surface air temperature distributions in climate models
Pejchová Plavcová, Eva ; Kyselý, Jan (advisor) ; Halenka, Tomáš (referee) ; Huth, Radan (referee)
Title: Links between atmospheric circulation and surface air temperature distributions in climate models Abstract: This thesis comprises a collection of five papers dealing with validation of regional climate model (RCM) simulations over Central Europe. The first paper illustrates and discusses problems with observed data that are used for model validation and how the choice of reference dataset affects the outcomes in validating the RCMs' performances. The second paper evaluates daily temperatures, and it indicates that some temperature biases may be related to deficiencies in the simulations of large- scale atmospheric circulation. RCMs' ability to simulate atmospheric circulation and the observed links between circulation and surface air temperatures are examined in detail in the third paper. This article also compares performances of individual RCMs with respect to the driving data by analysing the results for the driving data themselves. The fourth paper focuses on biases in the diurnal temperature range within RCMs and their possible causes by examining links of the errors to the at- mospheric circulation and cloud amount. The last paper investigates the observed relationships between atmospheric circulation and daily precipitation amounts over three regions in the Czech Republic, as well as how these...

Comparison of bioelectrical impedance analysis with skinfold thickness method in overweight persons
Kočvarová, Eliška ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Svačina, Štěpán (referee)
The aim of the thesis was to compare the methods most frequently used to determine the amount of body fat in overweight persons. Two bioelectrical impedance analyses using the analyzer Nutriguard-M and Inbody 3.0 and the skinfold test using the calliper Best were compared with a reference method (underwater weighting). The objective was to evaluate the validity of the mentioned methods and to decide which one is the most appropriate. In the first part of the thesis the background of obesity and body composition analysis is described. In the second part measured values are evaluated. The study included 18 overweight persons (6 men, 12 women), mean age 46,1 ± 15,8 years, mean BMI 28,2 ± 2,5 kg / m2. No significant differences were found among mean values of BF% obtained by Inbody 3.0 and the skinfold test. But the values measured by Nutriguard-M with tetra-polar electrodes arrangement were found significant (p < 0,05).

Liability of a Contractor in the Contract for Work in Investment Construction
Kazdová, Hana ; Štenglová, Ivanka (advisor) ; Čech, Petr (referee)
71 Abstract Thesis, as the title suggests, is focused mainly on the liability of a contractor resulting from contracts for work concluded by parties in order to execute large industrial works. Capital construction is economically significant branch of industry both from national and international perspective. Czech law regulates capital construction, as far as private law is concerned, mainly by Commercial Code in it's articles dedicated to general regulation of contract for work. Capital construction requires sufficiently detailed contractual arrangements of mutual rights and obligations. Detailed arrangements concluded by parties are necessary due to the complexity, technical, technological, time, material, financial and personal demandingness of the subject matter of work along with long-term character of mutual relations and high risk of amendment of legislation. Thesis deals with usual arrangements of contracts concluded by parties in practice related to the liability of a contractor in capital construction. Besides the thesis displays the amount of risk the contractors bear and the scope of their liability in case of breach of the contracted obligations. The most important terms used in practice are described in the introduction of the thesis. These terms originate from formerly valid Economic Code,...

Retirement system in the Czech Republic
ŠÍPOVÁ, Eliška
This bachelor thesis deals with the senior pension system of the Czech Republic. It is divided in two parts ? the theoretical and the practical one. The theoretical part presents a complete overview of the social welfare system of the Czech Republic which is created of three pillars and has become valid since 1st January 2013. Each of the pillars is described in detail. The thesis describes the participation of the citizen on the social welfare system, the retirement saving period and the way the senior pension is calculated. It also defines different types of the senior pension which is provided in the Czech senior welfare system. The practical part is focusing on a survey. The interviewees are questioned about the amount of information which they have about the social welfare system, about entering the second pillar of the system and about the retirement savings system.

Message Embedded Synchronization for the Generalized Lorenz System and Its Use for Chaotic Masking
Čelikovský, Sergej ; Lynnyk, Volodymyr
This paper implements and analyzes the well-known message embedded synchronization scheme for the case of the generalized Lorenz system. Such a synchronization may be used for chaotic masking scheme using a single channel only. This method was already discussed in the earlier literature for the particular classes of systems. In this paper, a more general class wheremessage embedded synchronization is possible is described. Then, it is shown that the generalized Lorenz system falls within that class. Furthermore, using the resulting synchronization, the novel secure encryption scheme is proposed. It requires very reasonable amount of data to encrypt and time to decrypt one bit. Basically, to encrypt one bit, only one iteration (i.e. only one real number of 6 valid digits) is needed. At the same time, 100 percent of the carrying chaotic signal can be used. The method is also demonstrated by numerical simulations of a digital data encryption and decryption.

Analysis of possible resources for the support of gifted children in Czech elementary schools
Frimlová, Martina ; Háva, Petr (advisor) ; Mašková, Pavla (referee)
Diploma thesis "Analysis of possible resources for the support of gifted children in Czech elementary schools" deals with financing the support of gifted children in Czech elementary schools from multiple sources. It starts from the finding that there are available resources both from government and non-government subjects, and that these resources can be used to support special pedagogical care of gifted pupils. It tries to analyze these resources (both financial and non-financial) from the point of view of an elementary school, which aims to give special treatment to gifted children, as it is suggested by legal documents, but cannot influence national policy. When searching for resources to support gifted children, the school eventually faces the fact that directive state funding is inadequate. So the school is forced to resort to searching for alternative sources. It is, however, not a system solution of the problem. Within the process of solving the research problem, 22 most significant resources were identified, including the basic resource - directive state funding. Data obtained about these resources were analyzed within historical and legal context. The result is findings about important characteristics of each of these resources, including legal validity of use, political continuity, amount and...

The concept and types of bills of exchange and promissory notes
Konečná, Veronika ; Zahradníčková, Marie (advisor) ; Čech, Petr (referee)
The topic of my diploma thesis is "The Concept and Types of Bills of Exchange and Promissory Notes". The reason, why I chose this theme, is my interest in business law and in particular in the securities law. However, the main motivation which led me to analyze this legal sphere, were anteriorly my previous work experiences. From the plenty of cases I have had the opportunity to see, emerged for me a surprising conclusion, namely that the participants of the bill relationships are often not in a significant amount familiar with the essential content requirements of a bill of exchange as a security, which in the case concerned led to serious and thoroughly negative consequences. It is obvious that a bill of exchange represents for a general public not easily understandable problematic which requires precision and excellent knowledge of law. For this reason I have paid attention to the issue of essential appurtenances of a bill of exchange whose presence is demanded by law and without their remark a bill of exchange is fundamentally not valid document. The goal of this diploma thesis is to analyze and characterize a bill of exchange as a legal instrument and to define its basic attributes in a view of the fact that in the Bill of Exchange and Cheque Act, not even in other legal rules including...
