Pseudo-coordination in the syntax of contemporary Czech
Škodová, Svatava ; Uličný, Oldřich (advisor) ; Hirschová, Milada (referee) ; Zikánová, Šárka (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to address the diversity of coordinative constructions, illustrating their properties, and to pro vide a forma 1 account for them in the frame of the theoretical background of the dependency syntax. This thesis namely investigates three construction types in the syntax of contemporary Czech, aH ofwhich have in common a binary coordinative structure, using the Czech coordinator a (and), where two verbs are coordinated. These constructions are referred to as prototypical coordination (ProKoor), pseudo-coordination (PseKoor) and reduplicative coordination (ReKoor). The main claim is that even though these three types share the same surface structure (go )VlandV2 or Vl andVl, they do not represent the same phenomenon of coordination and it is necessary to divide them into three types, as proposed. I have proposed a two-part analysis. Firstly, PseKoor is analysed as a complex predicate formed on the level of syntax. This analysis immediately accounts for a number of properties of PseKoor which allows the comparison with ProKoor. Secondly, PseKoor is analysed as means of aktionsart, resp. as a variety coordination over substages of events. This also accounts for a number of characteristics of PseKoor, this time on the level of semantics. ln this way I also present criteria for...

The methodics of training on the use of case studies in teaching by e-learning tools
Vargova, Antonia ; Šubrta, Václav (advisor) ; Střížová, Vlasta (referee)
The foundation of the case method, is an important part of the educational process at many leading business schools. This thesis examines the use of e-learning in preparing teachers to teach using case studies. Its main objective is to create a conceptual proposal of an educational program on how to proceed methodically to develop a tutorial for the use of case studies in teaching in schools. The proposal is divided into three parts: the draft methodology with respect to educational goals, design practical solution and sample application and illustration on existing examples of solution in the world. In first section I support my own methodological guide for the preparation of teachers to teach with case studies, which is basically divided into twelve modules. These modules focuse on the preparation from theoretical and practical point of view, and are are prepared so as to promote the teaching of e-learning tools. The next part of the proposal provides implementation of described methodology in e-learning environment, the resulting appearance of the processes, workflow, and the possible visage of the application. Consequently, I am going to show examples of applications already created by America, which can become a good basis and a source for the proposed application.

,. Abstract Title: lnnovation of the Structure of Police Triathlon Aims: Aim of the thesis is to suggest a new structure of police triathlon including its scoring system and to create a model of annual training cycle for an individua! of the Police of the Czech Republic. Method: We have searched available literatura, rules, and other information sources relating to this topic. Through the method of critical analysis, we have evaluated the current state of the police triathlon races within the concept of the Police of the Czech Republic. Based on the data acquired by critical analysis and on information obtained from literary sources, we have suggested a new racing concept of police triathlon. Results: The new structure of police triathlon including its scoring system of evaluation was suggested in accordance with available literatura and by comparison of other multicontests. Simultaneously, a proposal of annual training cycle complying with the suggested structure was submitted. Key words: police triathlon, race structure, scoring tables, annual training cycle

Financial structure of a logistic and transfer company
Kučerová, Renata ; Marek, Petr (advisor) ; Brabenec, Tomáš (referee)
The content of this bachelor thesis is represented by a financial structure of a specific firm. This firm is C.S. CARGO Inc., which belongs to the biggest truck transporters in the Czech republic. A part of this thesis is devoted to optimalising of the capital structure of a firm. Analytical part of the bachelor thesis starts with introducing of the starting financial structure of the analysed firm and this capital structure is used for calculating of weighted avarage cost of capital. Furthermore this thesis contains an analysis of an influence which would have IPO (at different size) on the capital structure of the firm concerning WACC.

Asset structure of the company, its meaning and factors affecting the asset structure
Šestáková, Kateřina ; Ducheček, František (advisor)
In my bachelor thesis I focused especially on the description of basic characteristics of individual components in company's equity structure. And both from the quantitative and qualitative point of view. I come out from the assumption that the main factors affecting the ownership structure are business, technical complexity of production, but also in particular the situation on the market. I also aim on the status changing of fixed assets in time period. I aslo outline the various options in the investment business decisions and its impact in equity structure of company. Namely the inclusion of different groups in the current assets or in fixed assets. That's based on their functional characteristics and specific conditions. Finally, I assessed the equity structure of the company using the individual indicators and I stressed the need to valuate given indicators in related context.

SStudy of crystalline structure of polyhydroxybutyrate and nucleating activity of selected additives
Sedláček, Zbyněk ; Tocháček, Jiří (referee) ; Bálková, Radka (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with study of crystalline structure of polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB), which contains different types of additives for studying of their nucleation activity and which were prepared by mixing. It is about boronitrid (BN), sacharin, hydroxapatit, plasticizer Tegmer a tree types of talc. Crystal structure was analysed by differential scanning calorimetry and x-ray diffraction, supramolecular structure was observed by optical microscopy (polarized and confocal laser scanning). Nucleating activity was evaluated by isothermal and non-isothermal crystallization made on calorimeter and heated table of optical microscope. There is not influence of additives on crystallographic structure, but additives affects number and size of spherulites including crystal domains defects, which can have impact on final mechanical properties. BN and talcs react as nucleating agents, other additives during low and high cooling speeds (vc) inhibit nucleation and in middle cooling speeds are without effect. Nucleating activity is not evaluated by numerically, because decrease of crystallization temperature together with vc is not linear. Results of direct methods are based on picture analysis, which is great benefit for understanding of crystal behaviour of PHB.

Capital structure of Czech joint stock companies and its determinants
Poulová, Lucie ; Marek, Petr (advisor) ; Hrdý, Milan (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to perform an analysis of capital structure of joint stock companies based in the Czech Republic. The first part of the thesis introduces modern theories and main determinants of capital structure. Further it stakes out basic models used for testing the validity of mentioned theories and the methodology used. The second part of the thesis focuses on practical results of the analysis. The first chapter summarises descriptive analysis of the passive structure, the level of leverage, the composition of equity and liabilities of the joint stock companies. These ratios are judged mainly according to industry classification and the type of ownership. In the next step, the relationship between leverage and profitability is closely explored since it is thought to be one of the main determinants. In the last chapter, the models are applied to the sample of Czech companies with the effort to judge the validity of capital structure theories and to evaluate the effect of determinants on capital structure.
