First, it is important to explain the expression a "knowledge economy" or a "knowledge society". In my thesis, I will introduce the theories of human capital, knowledge economy, innovation, economic growth and divers sources of appropriate informations. After the introduction of these theories, I will follow up with the introduction of the Lisbon strategy and its analysis. Here, I will do a comparison of the EU, Czech Republic and the global economy. The reason of this thesis is to show a possible ways of development and economic growth of the Czech Republic. The Lisbon strategy reflects the complexity of this issue. Thus, the next chapters will be about the analysis of Finland's economic transformation and its current state. Following with the short introduction and analysis of the american and french education, science and research systém and shape. Thus, those acquired knowledge will serve me to make an outline of the possible solutions for the Czech Republic because our current situation enables us to inspire ourselves in the whole diversity and uniqueness of their economic and social systems and to apply their know-how in the broader context of the Czech republic.

Geographical Aspects of Corruption in the Czech Republic
Podestát, Jan ; Tomeš, Jiří (advisor) ; Vogt, David (referee)
This work deals with the issue of corruption in the Czech Republic from a geographical perspective. First are introduced the theoretical approaches to the study of corruption, definition and basic typology of corruption including ways to measure it. Then follows an evaluation of corruption in the Czech Republic and a part dedicated to public procurement. The last part contains the data sources, methodology and results. The aim of the work was evaluate potential corruption in the case of public procurement of various hierarchical levels of settlement system and identify potential regularities regional differentiation of corrupt behavior at the level of the Czech Republic and in more detail in the Pilsen and Karlovy Vary region. The results of the correlations based on collected data not shown quite obvious relationship between the hierarchical level of municipality and transparency of public procurement. However, in the case of regional differentiation potential corruption were found some correlations. Urbanized and some other attractive regions have a higher potential for corruption. Key words: corruption, public procurement, regional disparities

Detailed Investigation of Electron Antineutrino Oscillations in the Daya Bay Experiment
Roskovec, Bedřich ; Leitner, Rupert (advisor)
Observed disappearance of reactor antineutrinos in the short baseline in Daya Bay can be explained by the phenomenon of neutrino flavour oscillations. The analysis in standard three- neutrino framework provides the best measurement of mixing angle of θ13 and the value of effective mass squared difference ∆m2 ee with comparable precision with other experiments. The unprecedented precision of Daya Bay motivates us to extend our search beyond standard three-neutrino oscillation scheme. It this thesis, we have explored two scenarios of possible physics Beyond Standard Model (BSM). We have tested the fundamental symmetry of the nature by searching for the Lorentz Invariance violation effect within the framework of the Standard-Model Extension (SME). Such an effect could be observed as a deviation from three- neutrino oscillation prediction in the oscillated antineutrino spectrum. Since we have not observed any significant deviation, we have been able to set the limits on the SME parameters. Some of the limits were measured for the first time while some turned out not to be competitive with the measurement of other experiments. We have also performed search for Non-standard Interactions (NSIs) in the Daya Bay. Being forbidden in the Standard Model, these interactions are predicted by BSM theories for which...

The use of these methods and the results which they provide are compared at the end of this thesis. In the theoretical part, which is based on the study of scientific literature, the term tourist destination and its potential for tourism development are defined. This part is also focused on the types of tourist destinations and explains the term tourist destination attractiveness. The following section is aimed at characterization of research methods Likert scale and Q-methodology. These methods are applied in the empirical research for data collection. The practical part is composed of the analysis of the data captured by the questionnaires and the comparison of the results based on own research focused on the tourist destination attractiveness. The result of this master thesis can be used by the destination management organizations and tourist centres in destinations.
