Use of social network Facebook as an educational resource in the teaching

The objective of the bachelor thesis is to introduce the social network Facebook in the educational and training process and to indicate specific procedures for teaching of the subject Information and Communication technologies. The theoretical part defines the terms such as didactics of technical subjects, educational and training objectives, teaching forms and methods, as well as history and types of social networks with particular emphasis on the social network Facebook. The practical part is divided into several subsections. The introduction describes specific procedures for the use of the social network Facebook in the subject of Information and Communication technologies. The following part contains the survey on satisfaction with using Facebook in teaching conducted with the technical-vocational secondary school students and individual interviews with the teachers providing their position to the use of Facebook when teaching. Partial modifications have been recommended based on the lessons learned which should make the achieving of educational and training objectives easier when using Facebook.

Analysis of the educational system of a specific public catering company

The bachelor thesis entitled Analysis of the educational system of a specific public catering company deals in its practical part with the definition of basic concepts and themes based on study of professional literature. Above all it is about human resources management, adult education and training and the topic of business education. The practical part characterizes the company to which the analysis relates, describes its educational system and deals with brief characteristics of survey respondents. It also describes the methods and procedures of exploratory survey. Then the obtained data are evaluated and interpreted in the practical part. Following them, the SWOT analysis of opportunities and threats of the educational system within the company is arranged and proposals for its streamlining are submitted.

The confrontation of the professional education in the area of tourism in the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation

The bachelor's thesis deals with the problems of education in the area of tourism, first of all, with the existence of the specialized intermediate and high schools in the Czech Republic and in the Russian Federation. In the chapters of this thesis one can find a detailed analysis of the educational structure in both countries and statistical data from these areas. The most interesting chapter is about educational programs in the sphere of tourism granted by the European Union, by the means of the financial resources from the structural funds of the European Union. Another chapter of this thesis is dedicated to the comparative analysis between educational system in the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation.

The dissertation paper focuses on the role and practice of public diplomacy within The framework of international relations and foreign policy. It analyses the importance, impact and mechanisms of public diplomacy with particular attention to the context of and relationships between the promotion of the state abroad, diplomacy and other are as such as economy and business, export, tourism, research, education and culture, which are all discussed further in the dedicated chapters of the paper.The dissertation examines possible approaches to and methods of monitoring the impact and effectiveness of public diplomacy and its benefits to all stakeholder groups. Current possibilities of usage of informacion technology in school

The dissertation is concerned with possibilities of the use of means of information and communication technologies (hereafter "ICT") in education process and possibilities of the support during the education in particular fields of education subjects. In its introduction this dissertation summarizes the current knowledge of integration of ICT into the education from the larger view and it adverts to dynamic changes that are brought by the ICT to the education of particular subjects. It is also necessary to adapt the subject and methodical content of their education. Further the dissertation summarizes current equipment of particular school levels by the means of ICT and describes short view to the future. Theoretical knowledge and principals are here the basis for incentives and suggestions for changes of education in relation to innovated approaches to the education. The new view to the possibilities of usage of means of ICT represents wide scale of individual knowledge, scales, competences, which are acquired by teachers as well as students due to the ICT. It also enables installation of other conditions and backgrounds that are more useful than the education style being used so far.

German secondary schools in Brno in 1918-1945

The paper gives an account of the German secondary education in Brno during the years 1918-1945. The secondary education, within this paper, comprises training schools for teachers and technical and business schools as well. The purpose of the paper is to give a complete overview of the German secondary education in Brno during the given period of time, in the general context of education legislation. The analysis of the schools in Brno is preceded by a brief introduction to the system of secondary education in the Czechoslovak Republic and to the question of German secondary education in the Czechoslovak Republic. The paper examines the schools in Brno from diverse points of view (number of students, their religion and mother tongue, the percentage of female students, school financing and school fees, marking, …) and aims to describe the history of the schools and the relations among them. The source materials are primarily composed of documents written in German (school annual reports, anniversary memory books, principal and class registers, chronicles) and literature on secondary education of that period (predominantly by R. Neuhöfer). The work may serve as a basis for comparative works (to be compared with the Czech secondary schools in Brno, German secondary schools in Prague, etc.).

The influence of playing computer games on pupil's development

This thesis is about the effects of playing computer games on pupils and students behavior. It is divided into a theoretical and an investigative part. The theoretical part is dedicated to historical development of technologies and principals of game systems in relationship to technical progress. It adverts to psychological, social and biological effects of long time, intensive playing of games. It shows positive and negative effects ofthis activity. The work analyses typical pathological events in the area of computer games, which defines excessive playing as an addiction as well as describes the area of internet and its specific communication. It refers to the importance of computer communication for educational purposes and opportunities it offers. The investigative part is based on elaborating of a selfmade research, that investigates the player' s personality based on the standardized questionnaire JEPI and a questionnaire of own construction. It tries to answer the questions regarding the typology ofthe pupiľs personality, particularly with regard to family background, education, relations and applying skills gained from playing games.

Reader's diary and ICT - a traditional teaching method in the content of modern technologies

The thesis Reader´s diary and ICT a traditional teaching method in the context of modern technologies is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with general principles of literature, literature reception and reader´s motivation. The attention is also paid to literary and reader´s education of children at school and in their free-time, including so-called pre-reading period as well. The main focus is on the impact of modern technologies on teaching literature and the method of a reader´s diary. The exploratory part includes outcomes of two questionnaire-based researches. The first one was designed for Czech language and literature teachers at secondary and lower level grammar schools, and its aim was to describe their attitude towards assigning, checking, evaluation and further use of readers´ diaries in literature lessons. The second questionnaire was focused on the pupils´ attitude towards assigned reading in relation to so-called online literature guide-books.

The municipal real-gymnasium of Malá Strana in 1865-1891

The paper's topíc is Czech secondary education in the second half of the 19th century. It generally follows the development of the education system in Austria and discusses the consequences of the Exner-Bonitz school reform from 1849. This reform created two main types of secondary schools: the gymnasium and the real school. As a result of theoretical debates about a single, unified sec on dary school, a new type of school emerges in the Czech lands, the so-called real-gymnasium, a combination ofboth previous types. In the 1860s, new schools are being founded in the Czech lands by the individua! municipalities who also provide the funding. The paper selects one of them, the real-gymnasium in Malá Strana, Prague, as a model example and follows its development as a mixed type of secondary school and also the economic and administrative implications of its existence and the efforts of the city council to hand it over into the hands of the state. The relationship between the city officials and the Austrian Ministry of cult and education is analysed. Methodologically, the paper also discusses the use of autobiographical fiction in literature as a source for the study of everyday life in history. Upbringing and education of Jewish women in Prague

This thesis - Upbringing and Education of Jewish Women in Prague - examines attendance of women of jewish nationality, religion or both, at schools (high schools and partly primary level of education) and universities in Prague. The focused group consists of persons who absolved most of their education possible in the new regime of the First Czechoslovak Republic, established in 1918. The examined period ends in 1938/9. Prague is the main area studied, however, due to lack or inaccessibility of resources broader region is included in some cases. University students of czechoslovak citizenship and some relationship to Judaism, with outside Prague hometown, are included in the studied group as well. The topic partly comprises job opportunities and other related issues, for example charity organizations supporting students in need and other organizations with some connection to education. Archive resources, statistics, essays of the period as well as memoirs and research data are analyzed. Numbers of students, their percentage in comparison to the majority and other aspects are gathered from statistics. Memoir texts and period essays are analyzed in order to find out how concepts of gender are constructed within broader society context and how the process of gender socialization in families is like.
