Výzkum v rámci disertační práce je věnován analýze vnitřního fungování praxe moderní veřejné diplomacie v systému mezinárodní vztahů a zahraniční politiky a rozboru nástrojů a dopadů kampaní veřejné diplomacie na její cílové skupiny. V hledání vztahu mechanizmu působení a dopadu veřejné diplomacie se text věnuje Přesahům a kontextu prezentace státu v zahraničí i nad běžný rámec diskurzu v oblasti mezinárodních vztahů a diplomacie. Analýzou těchto vazeb (obchod a investice, cestovní ruch, vzdělávání, kultura a společnost), srovnáním vybraných kampaní a současné mezinárodní praxe disertace ukazuje mj. metody a limity objektivního sledování efektivity této činnosti a dokládá potřebu spolupráce veřejného a soukromého sektoru v této oblasti. Ve spojení teoretického výzkumu oblasti veřejné diplomacie s analýzou její praxe a v obohacení stávajícího diskurzu o tyto vztahy a souvislosti nachází disertace naplnění svého zadání a motivace k výzkumu. Text uvádí kontext tématu, popisující prostředí, v němž veřejná diplomacie 21. stol. působí. Tato širší optika uvádí nazírání na veřejnou diplomacii jako na pole pro společné působení veřejného a soukromého sektoru. Disertační práce s užitím interdisciplinárního přístupu a kombinované metodologie analyzuje a popisuje obsahovou strukturu a ideová východiska prezentace státu... The dissertation paper focuses on the role and practice of public diplomacy within The framework of international relations and foreign policy. It analyses the importance, impact and mechanisms of public diplomacy with particular attention to the context of and relationships between the promotion of the state abroad, diplomacy and other are as such as economy and business, export, tourism, research, education and culture, which are all discussed further in the dedicated chapters of the paper.The dissertation examines possible approaches to and methods of monitoring the impact and effectiveness of public diplomacy and its benefits to all stakeholder groups. It describes the ideological roots, development, structure and mechanisms of public diplomacy and its impact on target groups. The study opens with a review of the context, describing the environment in which Public diplomacy functions in the 21st Century and the current and future challenges. This introduces a wider focus in which are examined the often merged functions Of the public and private sectors in the promotion of the state abroad. Public diplomacy is portrayed as a dynamic discipline with an important role in international relations. This claim is supported by evidence from research, articles, literature and other sources.
