Digital continuity of electronic documents in the commercial environment
Řehořek, Tomáš ; Kunstová, Renáta (advisor) ; Nemrava, Pavel (referee)
The bachelor work is to do with digital continuity of electronic documents as they occur in the commercial environment. The electronic documents can be used as legal documents only when constructed according to certain guidelines. The aim of this bachelor's work is to carry out an analysis of everything to do with ensuring the long-term validity of electronic documents and suggest practical solutions for each individual company. I have chosen an IT company called newps.cz which can be characterized as one of the leading suppliers of IT solutions to the Czech eGovernment. The thesis work is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the vocabulary, laws, and other facts particular to this field. It also includes a commentary on the resource list (the literature) dealing either with digital continuity of electronic documents directly or similar themes. The second part addresses the solutions which are currently available for ensuring digital continuity. IT solutions offered nowadays can be divided into three general groups for which some characteristics are typical. This fact has made the choice considerably easier because conditions set by the company can be evaluated on a general level. Therefore, finally, only three solutions fulfilled the required parametres and were shortlisted. The result is then a concrete solution for the company newps.cz. The highest quality solution was chosen. So far there has been no publication or technical article which describes all aspects of solutions to digital continuity. The biggest contribution of this thesis work is above all that the subject -- ensuring the long-term validity of electronic documents corresponding to current legislation - is dealt with in its entirety. This work can be used by companies other than newps.cz. They will get an overview of less known alternative solutions for the long-term validity of electronic documents including document conversion or hardware archiving.

One of the objectives of this bachelor thesis is to introduce readers with motives of developers for seeking alternatives to traditional relational database systems, which gradually resulted in emergence of NoSQL movement and also make them familiar with milestones and most important projects in its history. Then it introduces some basic characteristics common to NoSQL systems such as issues of scalability and distributed data processing and generally accepted categorization of NoSQL systems based on their data model. In more detail it focuses on field of document-oriented database systems, summarizes situation in this field and discusses its two currently most widely used representatives - systems MongoDB and CouchDB. It describes basic mechanisms of their operation and demonstrates meaning of their usage on examples. Then it defines evaluation criteria to compare these products and evaluate their fulfillment in currently available version of these systems.

Analysis of the approved territorial plan of the small community and the proposal for its complement and change
MÜLLEROVÁ, Veronika
This thesis concerns an analysis of the territorial plan of human settlement Svatý Jan nad Malší. Surrounding villages, such as Sedlce and Chlum nad Malší, were described in terms of the greatest changes, closer look can be provided on the cadastral plan of the town Svatý Jan nad Malší. Based on the study of territorial planning documentation and field exploration, individual parts of the territorial plan were evaluated, inconsistencies with actual condition were pointed out and necessary changes were proposed. To achieve completeness, questionnaire survey was conducted, from which the most problematic sections emerged, mainly work opportunities in village, condition and maintenance of roads and possible options of new construction. At the end, general maps  of territorial plan were designed in ArcGIS software according to particular cadastral areas with advised changes.

Manufacturing knowledge in the age of pervasive forgetting
Lass, Andrew
The distinction between information and knowledge highlights the often neglected difference between the storage of information, what it takes to build, maintain and utilize, and knowledge, whether private or public, the actualized ‘content’ that underwrites who we are and is both the tool and goal of what we do. The two processes are best exemplified by the library and the university. Both have grown in complexity and importance in unprecedented ways over the past few decades, yet their actual raison d’etre has shifted in ways that are both deceptive and dangerous. We have become obsessed with the technologies of information (processing), to the detriment of the art of knowing, and mistakenly equate storage with memory as we convert the world into a massive document archive. While we continue to invest heavily in the manufacturing of knowledge, from preschool through the university to the science lab, our knowledge of ourselves and of others, of how things are or came to be, is increasingly more piecemeal, temporary and one sided. I will present several examples to illustrate my point, briefly review the pertinent scholarship and advocate for an increased awareness of the negative consequences of the university/ library enterprise: the institutionalization of forgetting.

National Repository of Grey Literature: the source for information about hardly available documents
Spolupracujícími partnery NUŠL a hlavními zdroji šedé literatury z oblasti vědy a výzkumu jsou Akademie věd České republiky, veřejné výzkumné instituce, vysoké školy, knihovny a muzea. V příspěvku bude detailně představen obsah repozitáře, zajímavé typy dokumentů a především možnosti vyhledávání dokumentů v NUŠL.

Cooperation of components of integrated emergency system in catastrophes and multiple disasters
VYHNÁLEK, Jakub
The topic of my bachelor thesis is the Co-operation of the components of integrated emergency system in catastrophes and multiple disasters. The target of the thesis is mapping the knowledge of the type activity of components of the integrated emergency system during the common intervention in the extraordinary event with a high number of the injured and victims with accent on the work of the Medical Rescue Service. The partial target is to find out the knowledge of the communication in the Tetrapol digital system. The thesis is split into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the Integrated Emergency System, its components and tasks. It defines the concepts used in connection with the multiple disasters and moreover it mentions the documents necessary for the liquidation of an extraordinary event. It also describes the communication in the digital Tetrapol system. In the practical part, the method of the quantitative research in the form of the anonymous questionnaire was selected. The respondents were employees of the Medical Rescue Service of the South Bohemian Region. Based on the determined goals, two hypotheses were postulated. The first hypothesis reads: ?Members of the Medical Rescue Service are able to communicate in the Tetrapol digital system?. The second hypothesis reads: ?The junior employees (up to 5 years of practice) have a better knowledge of the type activity of the components of the integrated emergency system during the common intervention in case of an extraordinary event with a high number of injured and victims for the Medical Rescue Service than the senior employees. The investigation refuted both hypotheses and it has shown the deficiencies in the theoretical preparedness for the liquidation of the extraordinary event in the tested sample. In the framework of improving the awareness and knowledge of liquidation of an extraordinary event, it is suitable to devote more time to the given issue already during the studies of medical rescuers as well as subsequently in the employment for example in the form of internal seminars.
