National minorities on the labor market in Pilsen region.
ZÁHORČÁKOVÁ, Tereza
At present, the issue of national minorities living in the Czech Republic is often discussed. However, it is perceived rather in a negative context, in the context of the unequal position of minorities in the majority society. The key problems of national minorities in our country include: recognition of education obtained abroad, language barrier, low qualification. Furthermore, prejudices and mistrust of employers, discrimination resulting from ignorance of foreigners, complexity of valid labour law legislation, obstacles to finding a job in the Czech Republic resulting from residence status, illegal employment and the issue of not always appropriately chosen support for integration of foreigners and minorities into society. The goal of the bachelor's thesis will be to find out whether citizens of national minorities in the Pilsen region feel unequal in the Czech labour market and to find out information about working conditions to which national minorities are exposed in our country. Quantitative research will be used, using the method of questionnaire survey, supplemented by a semi-structured interview. The sample is clients of the Labour office Pilsen, clients of employment agencies, officials from the Labour office Pilsen and employees of employment agencies. The results of the bachelor's thesis can be used for employees of Labour offices, employment agencies, employers of various companies, but also for those who come to the Czech Republic to work and want to better understand the Czech labour market and know the potential risks and dangers they may encounter. The bachelor thesis should further focus on the fight against racism, the protection of human rights, the creation of tolerance towards minorities and building of a multicultural society.

Špirková, Petra ; Potůček, Martin (advisor) ; Nekolová, Markéta (referee)
The thesis "Analysis of the influence of demographic development on employment and employment policy of elderly people in the Czech republic" focuses on the specific position of elderly people in the labour market. In the event of redundancy, they tend to be under threat of long- term unemployment more often and to a greater extent than other groups in the labour market. The thesis describes in detail the current state of employment of elderly people in the Czech Republic and the European Union with respect to demographic trends, which - in addition to other consequences - also have a strong impact on the labour market. The aim of the thesis is to determine the main obstacles preventing greater involvement of elderly people in the labour market in the Czech Republic, and the direction employment policy should take in order to achieve greater efficiency. The basic hypothesis of the thesis is the idea that the implementation of an active employment policy in the Czech Republic is not effective enough in solving the unemployment issues of the elderly. Using four theoretical frameworks, the main deficiencies of the currently implemented employment policy with respect to elderly people and the causes thereof are identified. Theoretical foundations are also applied in discussing possible solutions to the...
Technological unemployment
Miňovský, Michael ; Vlček, Josef (advisor) ; Lupač, Petr (referee)
(in English): Will robotisation lead to unemployment? What will be the society-wide impact of automation? Will it affect the economy? And what is the general macroeconomic and microeconomic context of such developments? These and many other questions are asked throughout this thesis. On the next 70 or so pages, a detailed overview of changes connected with robotics revolution is provided, while the primary topic is the issue of technological unemployment. Based on the study of historical evidence, there is a proposition pronounced on a qualitative difference between current technology and earlier technological milestones consisting in the ability of the machines to substitute not only routine manual work but the non-routine cognitive tasks as well. This hypothesis is then being developed and analysed through a more detailed examination of the fundamental differences of robotics and the current technological foundation of industry and services. The method employed is a critical analysis of other authors' works, thanks to which it was possible to present impressive results such as the list of probabilities of automating a wide spectrum of jobs in the course of the next few decades based on an extrapolation of the current level of progress in machine learning and data mining. In the end, a synthesis...

Jirků, Olga ; Hejzlarová, Eva (advisor) ; Potůček, Martin (referee)
This thesis deals with an implementation of a new public policy tool - child care in the children's group - particularly it examines its origin, evolution and the reasons for its implementation. As the "Children's Group Act" became a new form of the childcare (in the Czech Republic), my participation in the legislation process of the bill adoption served as a motivation for the topic selection of this thesis. The opening part introduces the topic, specifically it studies the past and the present childcare system within the current area of the Czech Republic. Further it acquaints us with tools and remedies allowing for a greater harmonization of a family and work life of parents of infants. In other words, there are discussed theoretical concepts of a private work life harmonization of parents and concepts of equal opportunities of women and men. Moreover, the thesis introduces participants who were entering the negotiation and the adoption processes of the bill in question, either directly or indirectly. The aim of the thesis is to present a case study that would characterize both, the adoption process of the bill and the participants' determination of the final form of the act.
