The selection of job seekers

The thesis deals with selected legal aspects of the process of selection of job seekers. Through the study of professional literature and other sources, legal regulations and also own small research, the author deals mainly with the issue of the principle of equal treatment and the prohibition of discrimination and protection of personal data. The thesis also describes the job position of the job seeker, the pre-contractual liability and the dishonest behavior of the potential employee and the employer, the ways of getting employees and other connections, because the theme of the thesis is more extensive than it might seem at first sight. The possibilites of the defence are also mentioned. The process of selection of job seekers can not be considered as a purely personalist discipline. The thesis works with legislation such as the Labor Code, the Employment Act, the Anti-Discrimination Act on the Personal Data Protection Act. Although the selection of a prospective employee is the employer's responsibility, employers have to observe the legal requirements, for example, they can not discriminate the job seekers or infringe the privacy of the job seeker unwarranted. The employee sourcing, selection and hiring system analysis within a chosen organization

This Bachelor's thesis is focused on the sourcing, selection and hiring of the employees in the chosen organization and it is divided into two parts. The first, theoretical part, introduces individual processes in detail including various methods and their advantages and disadvantages. This part of thesis is based on the field specific literature. In the second, practical part, the specified organization is presented and characterized. It also analyses sourcing, selection and hiring processes of the organization. This part is based on the documents provided by the organization, external documents, interview with the human resource manager, employee survey and comparison of the theory and practical application. The practical part also covers the assessment of the obtained data, which is based on the strengths and weaknesses of the organization including proposed suggestions to improve the efficiency of explored personnel activities.
Recruitment and selection of employees for a manufacturing company

The target of this dissertation work is the process of analysis of recruitment and selection of employees for a manufacturing company. The strength and weakness of this process depends on acquired information and knowledge. The contribution of this work consists of specific improvements and recommendations in this domain which can help increase the effectiveness in recruitment and selection of employees. The basis for the empirical part of this work consists of consultations with employees of the HR department and the analysis of internal materials. This system is compared with theoretical and generally valid principles. Questionnaire enquiry, with cooperation of new employees and employees of HR department, are used in the second phase. Respondents are asked about the satisfaction of the processes applied in hiring. Employees of HR department are questioned regarding the procedure used in hiring of new employees.
Entrance examination procedures for Bachelor studies at Charles University faculties with social science orientation

The main aim of the thesis is to explore a current status of entrance examination procedures, which are applied for bachelor studies at faculties of Charles University with social science orientation (i.e. the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Arts). In first part, utilizing an analysis of relevant secondary data, the thesis deals with the description of current forms of entrance examination procedures. Besides description of current practice, the thesis further contains an analysis of stakeholders and qualitative research which is based on an analysis of interviews with representatives of faculty decision-makers, representatives of students from the faculty academic senates and students of the three analyzed faculties. The inteviews were transcribed and open-coded, which led to the sorting information into categories by theme. As a method of stakeholder analysis a "quick" analysis of stakeholders was used in order to identify the main stakeholders of the issues under investigation. Overall, the analysis of interviews shows that each faculty has different strategies and preferences for selecting students during the entrance procedure. The main target of this dissertation is to introduce problems of preparation and bulding order managing from aspect of investor to its readers. The aim of the thesis is to describe the proces during individual stages of the public bulding order life cycle and also relevant legislation for its assignment. Practical demonstration of the stated methods based on real project of the specific customer is the important part.
Optimization of the process of recruitment and selection of employees

The aim of the thesis is based on the comparison and evaluation of the selection process and recruitment in three selected companies find the optimum process. The paper compares these HR processes with IT developer JetBrains s.r.o., a pharmaceutical company Shire Czech s.r.o. and company providing services in the field of facility management. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is devoted to basic theoretical knowledge concerning the chosen topic. In the second chapter describes the process of recruitment and selection of employees in individual companies. The third chapter contains a comparison of selected companies, their processes and are given recommendations for individual companies, which will help improve these processes. The fourth chapter is devoted to a number of possibilities to improve individual aforementioned processes to be more efficient and lead to optimal process of recruitment and selection of employees.
The Public Procurement for the Supplies

The thesis deals with the theme of procurement of supplies in the Czech Republic from its beginnings to the present in the context of legal and economic developments. The current situation is analyzed on the basis of the Public Procurement Act, in connection with monitoring the preparation and adoption of new legislation. Legal issues will be extended by an overview of relevant laws and evaluate the problems in the formation of tender documents for the conclusion of framework agreements for the supply and reviewing compliance with the principles of the Act on financial control in public administration. Theme in the application of profiling on public procurement, focusing on a framework agreement designed to capture recurring delivery. The study is supplemented with practical experience in the field of public procurement for the conclusion of framework agreements, provides an analysis of the positive and negative aspects of this method of procurement, including proposed solutions. The practical part is elaborated on the basis of a comparison of the specific tender documents with the statutory legislation, qualitative research and secondary data analysis of tender documents for contracts to supply a valid framework contracts signed by the selected organization in the years 2012-2016.

Administration of public procurement

The thesis is focused on proposing changes in methodological procedures relating to the public tendering administration in the selected institution and consequently also changes in the relevant legislation, especially in the terms of principles, which a public tendering authority must implement under the Act no. 137/2006, on public tendering. The work contains a theoretical and practical summarization of legal steps according the current legislation and a proposal of changes in the form of amendment of the public tendering act. Since dealing with this issue for many years, it was my attempt to incorporate my own practical experience and knowledge into the proposal of these changes. The thesis is divided into three thematic parts. In the first part there is an introduction of a summary of basic rules and procedures in public tendering since 1990 till present, i.e. the act no. 137/2006, on public tendering. The second part focuses on a practical example of the public tendering procedure. The third part contains the proposal of changes in rules and procedures leading to the promotion of equal treatment, transparency and non-discrimination in public tendering, as well as of their practical application.
The issue of public procurement financed by means of subsidies provided by the European Union

The thesis deals with the issue of public procurement financed by means of subsidies provided by the European Union. Its theoretical part concerns with public procurement co-financed from EU budget. This first part of my thesis focuses generally on explanation of basis terms concerning public procurement. Moreover, it outlines our national and European legislation and methods interfering in the process of public procurement co-financed from the EU budget. The thesis presents oversight bodies emphasizing the function of the Audit Authority. It pays attention to structural funds during the 2007-2013 programming period focusing on the Regional Operational Programme (ROP) North-West. The practical part concentrates on analysis and records of the most frequent mistakes in public procurement within the ROP North-West by means of analysing a sample of cases identified by the Audit Authority. The thesis uses the outputs in the form of a summary of most frequent mistakes in public procurement of the selected operational programme as the foundation for formulation of measures and suggestions for elimination of mistakes in public procurement and for recommendations on amelioration and efficiency improvement of the public procurement system.
