Influece of secondary apparatuses on assembly box heating
Dobiáš, Pavel ; Ovsík, Jiří (referee) ; Bušov, Bohuslav (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the temperature-rise of selected parts of the low-voltage switchgear. The theoretical part describes the physical principles and the basic mechanisms of heat transfer. The next part describes the possible effect of elevated temperature on the device inside the switchgear. The master's thesis is awarded by ABB Ltd., so another part is dedicated to MNS switchgear. The following part describes the permitted limit of temperature-rise of switchgear in accordance with IEC 61439-1. In the practical part is a calculation temperature-rise of selected part of switchgear based on IEC 60890. Model in SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation was created for the same part of the switchgear and thermal analysis was performed. The values of allowable temperature rise of individual parts are compared with the results obtained by calculations and simulations. In the last part is verified the possibility of calculating the temperature-rise in the EPLAN software.
Thermomechanical Analysis of Braking Disc
Bačovský, Marek ; Zubík, Martin (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is the analysis of three types commonly used automotive brake discs in terms of their thermal and mechanical resistance on a defined braking maneuver. Another objective is to make an evaluate of the different structural solutions and compare them by each other.
Design and stress analysis of temperature and force sensor in hot rolling process.
Nejedlý, Pavel ; Pohanka, Michal (referee) ; Horský, Jaroslav (advisor)
In the process of hot rolling is roll surface thermo-mechanically stressed. To define lifetime of roll or to increase it by change of thermal mode, temperatures and forces acting on this roll need to be known. For this purpose should be used sensors, that are placed near by surface of roll. Aim of the first part of diploma thesis is to debug 2D computing model (MKP) to achieve the match of temperature graphs with experimentally measured values, which was recorded by temperature sensors in real process of rolling. In the second part the same temperature boundary conditions are applied on 3D model, which is used to solve mechanical strength check of the temperature sensor. The last part of thesis is design and verification of mechanical strength of the designed force sensor. The used boundary conditions were acquired in Laboratory of heat transfer and flow. The computing system ANSYS 11 is used to design a model of geometry and numerical calculation. This diploma thesis will be used as donating solution for the granted project, which started in this year with Laboratory of heat transfer and flow partnership.
Design of structures with FRP reinforcement
Matušíková, Anna ; Vácha, Jaroslav (referee) ; Štěpánek, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis presents available FRP software for calculating load bearing capacity of the structures reinforced with FRP and compares them between each other. Furthermore theory and algorithm of my own software is presented here. Load bearing capacity of structures which are reinforced with non-metallic reinforcement and loaded by combination of normal force and bending moment can be solved by my programme. Effects of high temperatures on the concrete structures can be included in the calculation. In the second part of the thesis is calculated load-bearing capacity and deflection of the real beam reinforced with FRP reinforcement and load-bearing capacity of member with FRP reinforcement with effect of elevated temperature. This has been done using my software. Comparison of results from hand calculation and laboratory load-bearing testing is done at the end. This laboratory testing was accomplished by Institute of Concrete and Mansory Structures at our faculty.
Thermal analysis of electric machine
Ječmínek, Tomáš ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
This masters thesis is focuse for measuring devices of temperature and their usability and accuraci in the event of asynchronous engine in operation. The values from meusuring of engine are used for preparing optimalization of construction. The right proposal of construction is check in numerical program and the results are validation.
Thermal analysis of induction machines using Ansys Workbench
Kučera, Petr ; Makki, Zbyněk (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
The aim of the master thesis is introduction with software Ansys Workbench and calculate the thermal field arroud the induction machine. After introduction with the software was bulit model of induction machine and there were simulated various thermal calculations at operating conditions. They were measured on a real induction machine in laboratories.
Computation of thermal network of switchgear type UniGear and comparison with the real temperature rise test
Rybka, Michal ; Tůma, Drahomír (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
The Master’s thesis deals with thermal network computation of UniGear type switchgear and it compares the calculated results with the real temperature rise test. The thesis describes both electrical and non-electrical characteristics of such a switchgear as well as its application in variol fields of industry. Description of switchgear auxiliary equipment is obvious part of the thesis. Modelling of current carrying track in software environment of Autodesk Inventor and preparing of this current carrying track for thermal network calculation in software environment of ANSYS follows. Main part of this thesis is presentation of thermal analysis results and their comparison with the real temperature rise test.
Utilization of ANSYS Workbench program at power electrical engineering
Partl, Tomáš ; Aubrecht, Vladimír (referee) ; Kuchyňková, Hana (advisor)
In its first part this Master´s thesis describes creation of electronic database design in Raster Design 2009 program as an effective form of storage only for paper documentation. The second part of my thesis provides calculation of primary and secondary winding of current instrument transformer of over-current conduit through the winding and influence on other parts of transformer i.e. error of transformer or increasing magnetic induction core and others. The last third part is focusing on usage of ANSYS Workbench in power electrical engineering. The thesis shows specific example of warming of current instrument transformer (thermal analysis) and comparing the results with theoretical (calculated) values.

This work deals with ANSYS application for research of temperature behaviour in electronics systems
Thermal analysis of plastic part using finite element method
Zemanová, Lucie ; Nečas, David (referee) ; Zatočilová, Aneta (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the thermal deformation of a plastic component after thermal loading and ways of processing digital data for a thermal analysis. There is optical digitizing outlined, since input data were obtained this way, and methods of subsequent processing for the thermal analysis. The analysis is carried out by the finite element method using ANSYS Workbench software. The finite element method is described. The work builds on measuring performed by photogrammetry, the aim is to compare applicability finite element method and photogrammetry for measuring deformation.
